While they work on hourly consult rates which is a refreshing option for many of us, on a recent project, my business was clearly not valued. Calls and emails were not returned for days or weeks, plans not sent as promised, all eventually resolved through my repeated follow-ups. The justified reason is that a bigger client was requiring all their time. Customer Service 101. I pay my invoices on time and without question. I will set aside the sales tax issue which required multiple emails to be resolved. The last straw was the requirement to pay for a 4th consult by a sharp deadline or my consult would be canceled. What choice did I have? I will find an interior design firm that will appreciate my business.

Working with Janne Anderson Burgio and her team at The House Whisperers Home Staging + Interiors…read morewas an absolute game-changer for one of my recent luxury listings--a stunning 10,000 square-foot luxury estate in Rancho Pacifica. As a real estate agent specializing in high-end properties in Southern California, I've collaborated with various stagers over the years, but Janne's approach stood out for its seamless blend of creativity, professionalism, and market-savvy strategy. From our initial consultation to the final walkthrough, the entire process was efficient, collaborative, and resulted in a transformation that not only accelerated the sale but also maximized the property's value. It all started with a complimentary quick quote over the phone--Janne herself answered my call within minutes, which immediately set a tone of responsiveness and accessibility. She asked thoughtful questions about the home's architecture (a sleek contemporary design with expansive glass walls and ocean views), the target buyer demographic (affluent families and tech executives), and my listing timeline. Unlike other stagers who might push a one-size-fits-all package, Janne tailored her recommendations to highlight the property's unique features, such as the open-concept living areas and custom pool. The staging execution was flawless. Janne's team--a dedicated group of designers and installers who move like a well-oiled machine--arrived on time with everything needed. They transformed the space in just one day, creating high-impact, on-trend vignettes that felt luxurious yet livable. In the living room, they layered neutral-toned sectionals with textured throws, abstract art, and strategic lighting to draw the eye to the panoramic views. The primary bedroom became a serene retreat with hotel-style bedding, subtle metallic accents, and fresh florals that evoked a spa-like ambiance. Everything was magazine-worthy, de-personalized yet warm, and perfectly aligned with the home's style, location, and price point. Janne personally oversaw the details, making adjustments on the spot and sharing tips from her "Secrets of a Stager" talks, like how to streamline furniture arrangements for better photography flow. Throughout the process, communication was top-notch. Janne's award-winning customer service team handled logistics smoothly, from flexible payment options to quick responses via text or email. There were no surprises--just reliable, high-quality work that elevated my listing and boosted my commission. I've since referred The House Whisperers to colleagues for everything from quick-turn investor flips to celebrity estates. If you're dealing with luxury properties, Janne and her team aren't just stagers; they're strategic partners who turn tired listings into irresistible homes. I can't recommend them highly enough--call them at 858-335-9577 for your next project; you won't regret it.

I normally wouldn't respond, but this company Elite Living remodeling response to my previous…read morereview contains multiple false claims that need to be addressed. First, my father was not trying to be the 'supervisor" of the project--he was simply making sure things were done correctly, which became necessary due to ongoing issues. The only delay came from mistakes made on their end, not ours they chose the engineer company and said that they have used them before. Ben denies this piece of information and as the owner of the company, he never came once to review anything in our project didn't even know there was a problem with the engineer or the way the trusses were misbuilt. Normally the general contractor is in charge of the whole project was what I was told. I never knew construction companies outsourced to other companies. but even if they outsource some of the work, they should still be responsible if they do something wrong and should absolutely never blame it on the client "me" who knows nothing about construction or engineering companies. When they refused to take responsibility, we had no choice but to bring in another contractor to fix their errors. As for the CSLB complaint, while they may not have found anything 'illegal,' that does not mean the experience was ethical or professional. If this company truly stands by their work, they wouldn't need to deflect blame Or write "karma is coming for me" I'm sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions."
