First, I will start with the positive: Staff is extremely friendly & I was seen promptly. Now: I came in here earlier this year & it was my first time, the reviews looked amazing & it's close by, so I wanted to give them a try. I came in for a standard bi-yearly cleaning. The dentist came in & said that I grind my teeth (which at the time, I did due to stress) & instead of being told I needed a night guard, I was told I would be a good candidate for Invisalign (which it's plastered that they're a top provider).. I said I'd think about it. The cleaning was extremely fast, genuinely one of the the fastest cleanings I've ever received. I don't feel like my teeth were cleaned properly & I won't be returning. However, I do appreciate how nice everyone was.

I went to one place with my Medicaid. I came to the office for a second opinion because the first place recommended a crown and the tooth did not hurt. I had been saving for a new wheelchair, and this was going to screw up my budget. Once I accepted that I would have to get an expensive crown and not a shiny new wheelchair the Dr. worked within my budget to get the crown and a deep cleaning done so that I would not have to go to a dental school. I learned that they take Medicare if I have an emergency. They even used a new patient coupon so I can get a 3-month cleaning.

The main issue was that my secondary insurance had been billed as the primary insurance. Delta confirmed they had no record of my primary insurance on file, only a note stating that I had another insurance plan. I worked with a Delta representative, and they explained that everything would need to be resubmitted either by the dental office or through a claim filed by me. When I brought this to the office staff's attention, I was not looking for an argument. I was simply trying to point out the issue so they could review it and correct the billing. Unfortunately, the staff became defensive and rude. That experience is what ultimately caused me to lose trust in the office after being a patient there for five years. To be clear, this review is not about the doctor's performance. My concern is strictly with the billing process and the way the office staff handled the situation. A billing mistake can happen, but how it is addressed matters. Patients should feel heard and respected when they bring forward legitimate concerns.

Luckily, Dr. Tozzi's office was able to take me in today and fix my issue! I had x-rays done, an exam, and my filling fixed, all in about an hour! The best part was even though I have no insurance, my out-of-pocket expense was extremely reasonable! The office was super clean and modern with fun little toothpaste & toothbrush pulls for the cabinets. I interacted with about 5 people, including Tom who performed my dental work. Every single person here is unbelievably friendly and welcoming, easing any sort of anxiety one might have when going to the dentist. I really loved my experience and actually look forward to future visits :)

I recently went in for a routine cleaning. During the procedure, I was told I had to wear the black plastic protective glasses, or I wasn't welcome there and should leave. When I explained to Dr. Timothy Luong that I'm severely claustrophobic and have a history of panic attacks from previous life-threatening surgeries, he showed zero empathy. He didn't listen to my concerns at all--he simply insisted on the glasses and, when I couldn't comply due to my medical condition, asked me to leave immediately. This complete lack of compassion and accommodation for a legitimate health issue was shocking and unacceptable. No effort was made to discuss alternatives or understand my situation. I felt dismissed and disrespected as a patient. I will never step foot in Ascend Dental again and strongly advise others to think twice before choosing this practice. He performed the extraction in the office under anesthesia and it's now a month later and I've healed beautifully. He's an excellent physician and just a great person with well trained staff.

She has a half day one Friday a month, but Dr. Bybee only worked every other Friday, and it wasn't the Fridays we needed. We go to a larger office now, that is far less intimate and takes forever to get through. The dentist can be such a scary place for kids and even adults, so going to an office like this to make the experience comfortable and not scary is just great for future dental visits and setting a good foundation for dental hygiene.
