The people here are always so friendly and accommodating, and the care is very organized and efficient. Once I check in for each appointment, I never have a long wait to be seen. Dr. Schwartz is not only a knowledgeable and great dentist, but he also provides friendly patient care. The dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff are very welcoming too. The space itself is clean and well-maintained, although the building is in an odd location off Boulder Highway close to Lake Meade Parkway (and parking can sometimes be a little bit of a puzzle, although not too bad most times). However, the quality of care here makes the drive to this odd spot completely worth it. At my last visit, I was especially nervous for my appointment since I had just gotten out of months of hyperemesis gravidarum, and my teeth looked the worst I'd ever seen them before. However, I was treated really well, given useful tips, and I can tell the staff member cleaning my teeth really understood how pregnancy could affect my teeth the way it did. She went out of her way to help me with my concerns and was even able to get my teeth looking so much better by the time I left which I didn't think was possible. Being the first place I've driven to in months since being sick for so long and having a little anxiety because of it, I am so grateful everyone at Henderson Family Dental made my trip as painless and even pleasant as possible!

It has been a long while since seeing a dentist and I must say it is never something I look forward…read moreto. I haven't had the best experiences in the past, and my teeth are not in the best shape. My husband has been going to Premier Dental for a while now and suggested I give them a try since I recently got new insurance coverage. I went in a couple of weeks ago for my initial appointment. I was greeted by Asia and Jessi at the front desk and they were both nice and friendly. Special thanks to Jessi who helped me with the cost breakdowns for the procedures I needed. She sent everything I requested to my email for my husband to review in a way that we could clearly understand. I initially received a photo copy that was missing a page, and she resent everything on more clear PDF's that we could review. Nina took lots of x-rays and was very pleasant and had a very positive vibe. She had Alexa playing some nice tunes that kept my mind off of my worries and anxiety about the dentist. Dr. Lamancusa was my dentist and he was very nice and upbeat. He did his exam, pointed out areas of concern, and made a plan to address everything. He put my mind at ease about my concerns and let me know that all my issues are fixable and not the end of the world. I ended up needing 2 crowns ASAP. The anesthetic when preparing for my crowns was not strong enough and I could feel the drilling initially (ouch!), but Dr. Lamancusa quickly addressed the issue and adjusted my dosage so that I was completely numb. He said he also noted my file for future reference that I require more time and more anesthetic. For some reason that stuff just does not work on me like most people. I left with temporary crowns and was told the permanent crowns would be ready in two weeks. It was rough eating on one side, and not having bread or anything hot, but I managed. The crowns ended up being available 2 days early and they called and moved my appointment up. I must say having the crowns put on those exposed, sensitive, drilled down teeth was not fun. The cold water, the cleaning of the exposed teeth, the removing and resizing the crown over and over, the ice cold cement, it all hurt. But, the pain subsided a bit after lots of Tylenol. I have never had crowns so I did not know what to expect or what was normal, but the dental assistants assured me what I was experiencing was on par for getting crowns. I was not sure about the fit of the crowns initially, so Dr. Lamancusa told me to try them out and come back in a couple of days if I felt something was off. I went back this morning and he drilled the crowns down a bit to adjust. I haven't eaten yet to know for sure about my bite, but it seems to feel much better as of now. I had a cleaning and laser treatment with the Hygienist, Angela, who I must say is the BEST! She was so gentle with her equipment, she explained everything along the way, and she just has an overall kind and warm demeanor that made me feel at ease. She made sure I was numb enough throughout the process which I really appreciated. I will not be scared to keep up with my regular cleanings going forward, as long as Angela is there! All in all, I am glad that I finally went back to the dentist. Definitely recommend.

The doctor who performed the exam TOUCHED HIS NOSE AND PUT HIS FINGER IN MY MOUTH touching the tooth they were actively filling. I am beyond concerned for risk of infection now. I had my first appointment yesterday and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the quality of the service I received. I went to Stratton Dental based on a recommendation from a friend. I called to book an appointment…read moreand asked what insurance I had. When I told them, I was informed it had to be a PPO and not an HMO plan. The woman who questioned me was a bit curt on the telephone and came across in a patronizing tone, and cut me off. Not the best introduction, nor very pleasant. I got my insurance details sorted, and the called back a second time to get the appointment booked. I waited 5 days over all to be seen. Not extremely long, albeit, but they told me they could squeeze me in before Christmas. Whew! I got my check in paperwork done, and was called back from the waiting room relatively promptly. The hygenist went over my "treatment plan" shared with me. I had a dental insurance discrepancy but opted to get my tooth taken care of ASAP. It also was done very promptly, and same day service. That part I appreciated. My past waits at other clinics have been 2-3 weeks for completion from start to finish. l was very nervous about treatment and suffer from a bit of anxiety from other dental procedures. Some dentists prior have hurt or caused further harm to me. Neither the hygenist nor the Dentist was reassuring in manner to help put my mind at ease. No numbing gel used at all before being injected with a local anesthetic either. Nobody wants to feel the needle, you know? That part always hurts. I don't enjoy mouth pain at all. They were both direct, and matter of fact. All business and no light hearted banter or consolation about that aspect at all, and no smiles to speak of from either. Both were quick and thorough. The Dr. did ask if I had any questions, and advised me to call if any issues arose. I paid and left without ado. It wasn't a stellar environment regarding friendliness considering the nearing holidays. Rather more aloof and indifferent. Some patients suffer from medical fears and needle anxieties and PTSD. I fully know they are not there to hold your hand or coddle you while you're being treated. But, I felt that empathy and reassurance or some warmth would have made for a better visit as far as any future procedures go. As I said, in and out, all business and very little talk with the patient. Quick, but cool in demeanor. A warm smile, or reassurance goes a long way! Edit: On my second visit, the office manager was on a telephone call with a patient's insurance company as I was checking out. She was at the front desk curtly speaking to someone on the phone, and condescending down to the person on the other end of the telephone. I feel that was unbecoming, unpleasant, and unprofessional myself, and something that should have been taken care of discreetly in a back office out of patient earshot. I KNOW how difficult insurance providers can be, but it was not pleasant to hear, and left me with poor reflection on them. After witnessing that exchange, I really don't want to go back. I will be seeking another clinic. Not nice.

Dr. Ignatowicz and his team came to the rescue once again! I moved to Oregon several years ago, but…read morehave not found a decent dentist up there. About 8 months ago I decided to try out a dentist in Oregon for the 3rd or 4th time because a friend recommended a "high-end" dentist, and I finally had dental insurance. I was genuinely hopeful because as much as I love Dr. I and his team, I would love to have a dentist that I don't have to take a flight to get to, lol. Anyway, I have finally accepted that I will always come to Vegas/Henderson to see Dr. I & team for all my dental needs. After getting one crown and two HUGE fillings (that looked horrible because they also should have been crowns) on my bottom right, back three molars, at the Oregon dentist, I noticed a small, dark spot on the inside of one of the molars he had done a filling on. I asked him if it was a cavity, and he essentially said "no, it's not decay" it's just discoloration. Within a few months, the fillings he did on the molars began to wear down significantly leaving a sharp, jagged edge on the inside of the two molars. Fortunately, I was back in southern Nevada for a few months so decided to make an appointment with Dr. I. After an exam and new x-rays, Dr. I confirmed what I thought, that the small dark spot was in-fact a cavity, and that the two molars did need crowns. I was frustrated that the Oregon dentist had done such a terrible job, even though Dr. I was so professional and wouldn't say anything negative about the other dentist, I could tell he was as shocked as I was about the dental work that had been done, which was very validating. Dr. I's team was able to schedule me in very quickly for both the crown prep and crown placement. ALL of his staff are wonderful as well! Maria, one of his amazing office staff, gave me information about a dental discount program that saved me even more money on top of Dr. I's incredibly reasonable prices. I genuinely don't know how Dr. I is able to offer such reasonable prices with such a high level of expertise and patient care without having to schedule years in advance. I'm sorry this review is so long, but I can't recommend him and his team enough, especially if you suffer from dental anxiety and/or need extensive dental work as I did when I started coming to him almost 10 years ago. I've had weak, decay-prone teeth since I was a little girl so having a dentist who has been able to help me overcome all of that past dental-related trauma has been such a blessing. I feel so grateful to have found such an amazing dentist and dental team. Thank you Dr. Ignatowicz & team!!

They said I needed 4 fillings .OK So I scheduled them. The day of the filling process was horrible service from Dr. Chen. Absolutely no communication with me when he walked in the room to get started. He didn't go over the plan or inform me what type of filling they were using on me. He didn't give me options or tell me any info about his plans for my mouth. He didn't check in with me at all during the procedure , or explain as he was going . I was feeling anxious and not secure. Then I had to YELL stop because I could FEEL the drilling he was doing. I was very upset when I left , and the fillings were super gritty, and they left a terrible acetone smell and taste in my mouth. It was a terrible experience I left very upset. My mouth stayed numb for 3-4 hours after that as well. And my top gums were sore for days !! Never again would I see Dr.Chen. I never once even met Dr. Ignatowicz. Dr. Chen you need to talk to your patients and ask them questions .You should explain things and give them treatment options.
