I should've known better the last time I went the same lady betrayed me for not having cash for a tip and putting it on my card. Like a lot of the reviews here, not everytime is the same. Sometimes great, sometimes okay, sometimes, just down right crappy! I only had a pedi a few times. Worse pedicures I've ever had. No warm towels. The sea salt scrub, which cost extra, lasted about 20 seconds. So, I only had acrylics put on and filled here at TT Nails. Since I acrylic nails, and after they'd been 'filled' several times, I'd decide to have the old soaked off, and a new set put on. They would argue with me. I know it's going to take more time to soak them off, but it should still be my choice. I even broke the acrylic nails off prior to going in, and worked on getting all off of my real nails, before going in for a new full set. I was always happy with the new full sets, at least until my last time at TT Nails. I don't see where I can attach a photo. I would share the horrid, thick, gooey gel polish that they weren't ashamed one bit about charging me full price for. That's the thing about these walk in nail salons. If there are customers waiting, they will hurry through your service, charge you the same price, just so they can earn more money from the next client. Unless it's changed in the last 6 months , there's only 2 nail techs. Husband and wife. Gary and Helen, I believe are their names. They are not the owners. They have a sister salon in Castleton too, I believe. I stuck with them for quite awhile. I'm not even sure why!!! I went somewhere else for pedicures. A couple of years ago, I went in around 2:30 several times. The man would be the only one there. Helen would leave, to pick up her daughter from school, in New Pal. So he'd be your only choice to do your nails. And yes, like others have reviewed.... the man does act really grouchy! He does huff n puff A LOT. Even when he was using the drill to clean under the nail tip, and drilled too deep, which instinctively made me jump, causing blood that took forever to stop! He acted very irritated with ME! I will say, he doesn't speak any english, so that could be some of the reason he comes off so rude. With all of these poor reviews, I'm surprised they are still open.

I scheduled my appointment for 4/24, but when I was about to leave, my phone alerted me that there was a tornado warning in my area and it was unsafe to drive. Luckily, I was able to call HV and easily reschedule my appointment to 5/25 with no problems! Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted with a cold water and directed to my massage chair. I waited for about 10 minutes before a nail tech came over and started my treatment, which was no problem for me at all, but both the technician and the manager on duty were so apologetic and even added on extra time to my leg massage to make up for it! The way everyone goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is what makes the prices at HV worth it. I was super impressed with my gel pedicure and my acrylic manicure, and I especially appreciated that the nail techs asked me several times throughout the process to make sure I liked everything. The design I got turned out even better than the inspo pic from Pinterest, and they have lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping or breaking! HV Nails is certainly on the pricier side, but trust me when I say you get your money's worth!

Despite not completing the full service, she still charged me for a full foil instead of a partial foil (which, by industry standards, is when only the top and sides are foiled). When I texted her afterward to point out that my receipt listed a full foil even though I only received a partial, her response was that "anything more than 15 foils is considered a full foil." This was very disappointing, as it doesn't align with what was booked or what I expected.
