This place is amazing!! I was taken care of from the moment I stepped in. The place is remodeled and everything is clean as well as brand new chairs! They are by far the most comfortable spa chairs I've been in and as a bigger lady they are so roomy! They even have a padded manicure table that fits over the chairs for a more comfortable manicure while getting your pedicure. (I've never seen this before and I would love to try these because it seems like it would be less awkward.) Ielt well taken care of with an ultra-soothing, warm neck pillow and attention to detail on my pedicure by Natalie. I even had the most amazing Vietnamese coffee made for me there. Please try this place, everything is top notch! (Also, one last thing, the polishes look clean and well-kept, that is a thing I always notice when choosing a place.) I was a walk-in today because I had just done my own nails this morning, but they got smudged when putting my toddlers into their carseats. I was driving somewhere else and happened to see Galaxy Nails was open on a Sunday and I thought, "you deserve a nice manicure, go get one"...I walked out with something that looks much worse than I walked in with. The woman was very sweet, but my polish is incredibly uneven, lumpy, and so thick in some places that it's still not dry over an hour later. She even had to redo 3 nails before I left because the tips were so thick and not dry that they got messed up when I went to pay. More polish was unevenly globbed on top, and my thumb cuticle was nicked so bad that it bled for a long time. I'm understandably frustrated and mad at myself for not bringing up my concerns and asking it to be taken care of while I was still there. I was just so frustrated and wanted to get out of there. I post this for anyone who, like me, struggles with conflict and saw other not great manicure pictures on this yelp page and thinks "surely that won't happen to me" because that's honestly what I thought. It was a Sunday afternoon, I was the only customer, and I thought surely I'd get the time and attention worthy of a decent manicure. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went in for a pedicure and needed to have the shellac removed from my toenails. The technician drilled off the paint and cut my cuticles on multiple toes, was jamming the cuticle pusher up way too hard, and ignored me when I said it hurt. Also he did not trim or file my nails. Now they are all so jagged!! Then when he was "massaging" my feet he was just jamming his thumps into my arches. I literally pulled away from him multiple times and told him it hurts. He never apologized!! That was the first time I have ever not tipped a nail tech. So beware. If you go here DO NOT let the male tech touch your nails. read more

A few of us were in town for a wedding. We decided to go here because they had good reviews and said that they could get all of us in together. There were 3 people working and only 1 who was doing nails. The nail tech did no nail prep at all, and used her own bare hands to try to get hang nails off. This was the result of the manicure. These are two separate manicures that they charged $50 each for. The nails were messy and the black was all over. We all went to the salon across the street to get our nails fixed and finished. read more

Went in after work to get a Manicure & Pedicure. Both ladies asked me over 5 times if I wanted Shellac after I explained exactly what I wanted. The manicurist filed my natural nails down to stubs! She painted my skin and when I asked her to clean it up, she complained that it was too late. I made her do it anyway! My nails look terrible! She knew she did an awful job because she kept looking at them in different angles. I will not ever come back to this place. I could have done a better job myself, and next time I will! read more

I found Galaxy Nails on yelp and loved the reviews and pictures! I must say that my visit was amazing! I did a full set (pointy) long nail and a pedicure. They took their time and I could tell that their work was very important to them. All smiles and a very calm environment! The pedicure even came with a hot stone keg and foot massage and a shoulder massage. I definitely will be going back!! Good grief. Got a full set of nails and a pedicure if that is what you want to call it. This is the sloppiest my nails and toenails have ever looked in the 25 years I have been getting my nails done. Been here about four times now. The staff is very friendly and they do a nice job. The place is clean, relaxing and I love the massage that is included with the pedicures. My go-to place for nails in Tomball. My only complaint is about parking - there is not much up front, but there is parking in the lot (just further out and you have to cross main lane of traffic within the center). That's not their fault, it's just the design of the center. But on that note, you can access this center from every side (including the 249 feeder). read more

They do a pretty good job- been here twice. First time was for a full set with shellac over top, oval shaped- loved them. The second time I treated myself to a mani pedi, (with a refill), but this time I wanted pink and white coffin shape. I came in pretty early on a Saturday and they were a little busy, nothing crazy. However my pedi took FOREVER... I thought maybe they were trying to kill time bc the lady who did my nails previously was finishing up someone else's pedi... But when my toes were done, the same lady did my nails. She did a nice job, but it was quite what I wanted based of the pic I showed her, and the shape was more square than coffin. read more

I went there for the first time 2 days ago. I asked for a full set and was seated right away, offered water as well which was nice. Ivy was the one to do my nails. About 5 minutes after she started, a group of 4 girls came in. I thought this was going to make her rush but it didn't. She took her time and was very friendly to me. The place was VERY clean. But also very empty.(not that I mind) but it does make me question why.. I went in for just a gel manicure. I did have powder on that I wanted them to remove. Normally it's no big deal but the nail tech pulled out her drill and it took an hour just to remove the tips... she didn't remove all of the tips so my nails are currently lumpy. After all that, she started in with the manicure.... this lady buffed and buffed until she couldn't buff anymore.. the only issue is she seemed to only buff my cuticle bed. It was extremely painful and now my nails are Scabbed and feverish. The nail tech was on the phone a few times for a lengthy amount of time. So we finally get to the point of painting my nails.. I am not happy about the job. The polish was all over my fingers and I tried to clean them up the best I could. The ladies ere nice and sweet. But a poor job was done on my nails. I've been going here intermittently for the last year or so. Sometimes i will go somewhere else but I'm almost NEVER as satisfied as when I leave here. Ivy always takes her time and is very accommodating to any requests or complaints. She will fix your nails to your hearts desire, and won't check you out until you are satisfied. First time here and it was wonderful. I called ahead worried about a potential Mothers' Day crowd. Lady who answered the phone was very polite and I timed my visit well. I asked for an appt 30 min later, arrived and parked with ease. Was greeted by the same lady and I caught them at a quiet moment. Clean facility, courteous staff, and I did the top level pedicure and did a basic manicure with no polish just a buffing. I feel relaxed and my feet and hands loved the treatment. Water temp was good, drink provided, and a neck and shoulder massage thrown in. The massage was very relaxing. I will certainly be back - no complaints or suggestions. Great pricing and quality work. Lovely little nail salon in Tomball. I felt welcomed by the staff as soon as I walked through the door. They were happy to accommodate a walk-in pedicure on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of color choices, very clean, nice chairs, and a quality pedicure. Not rushed in any way, and the paint job came out picture perfect. The price was about $5 more than the nail salon I like in Cypress, but this pedicure was worth the extra money. The cold beverage that was offered complimentary was a nice touch. This was ridiculous, worst manicure ever!!! They started trying to sell us on shellac nails right away and continued the whole time we were there. The pedicure was ok but again, the whole time with the shellac nails.. eyebrow waxes left wax and when we didn't agree to the damn shellac nails they just rushed through, every nail you could see where the second coat didn't go all the way from side to side or Dow to the cuticle and the she wouldn't honour the coupon. There has to be a100 nail salons to choose from, leave this one out if the mix. read more

Infection! I came here yesterday and got a pedicure and now I have an infection. I came here for a pedicure, the next day my toe was hurting i took my shoe off when I got home and on the side of my toenail was swelling, white, & inflamed. I went back to show her and she said nothing was wrong you could clearly see the swelling, she kept saying she didnt cut me (which doesn't matter cause i still have an infection) She asked what she could do so i asked very nicely for a refund and she refused and kept replying it wasn't her fault so she didnt think i should get one. I went with my friend and when we waited for her nails to dry and they're supposed to clean the pedicure stations even if they have a liner (im a licensed cosmetologist) and I've been here before and some guy did my nails and did and awful job they were completely uneven and when I sake him to fix them he was just rude so eventually had to just fix them myself. And it says on their website Mon-Wends 20% off and it was the first time but when I went back and got the infection i asked and she said oh it's only some so she picks and chooses. And not to mention it was the OWNER that did the pedicure. And refused to give me the refund and she didn't even have to give me the refund if she would have just apologized even i wouldn't be as mad she just kept denying it wasn't her fault and was saying it was my fault. I didnt do anything that would have given me anything i wear socks and everything with all my shoes. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT COME HERE! read more

Great place for nails. I haven't done acrylic but they do a fantastic job with my shellac. I was a little disappointed with my pedicure. Polish lasted a while but my feet weren't very soft as I have had elsewhere. But they are very clean, & nice. Have a great selection of regular, shellac & acrylic colors.
