I am used to my appointments being 15-20 minutes long because they pride themselves on quick service. My boyfriend and I share a car and we had to go pick up his kids from school before my appointment and then I told them to just wait in the car because my appointment would only be 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Kids wouldn't get antsy or fight and we'd be home by 4:30 (my appointment was at 4). The morning of my appointment I got a call that my waxer was out for the day so I would be with someone else. Which is totally fine with me! Until it wasn't. I got to my appointment right on time, then was told I had to wait a few minutes. Which is fine because I usually have to wait about 3-5 minutes. 10 minutes goes by and my waxer finally came out to take me to the back. I've never seen her before at this location so I assumed she was newer, but I know they train well so I wasn't worried. Finally she starts my wax and it's all going well and she's chatting with me and making me feel comfortable, she is pulling my skin taught so it doesn't hurt and it's going really well! Then she kept going over the same spot, over and over again. Which I know is because she wanted to get all the hairs out, but I felt it getting later and later and I knew my boyfriend and his kids were waiting in the car and I just knew that they were getting antsy. Anyways, she did a great job, but I checked my phone at the end and it was 4:50!!! 4:50?! 40 minutes to do a Brazilian. I'm fine with having a new person, but I would've love to know she was going to take that long for my appointment! That was ridiculous!! And no one even seemed to apologize about it. When I finally was at checkout, I didn't even want to schedule again because 1. I didn't know if I'd want to come back to this location, even though it's the closest to my house and 2. I was now in a rush because my appointment was 35 minutes over what I thought it would be. We had someplace to be and now we were really late for it. I'm really disappointed in my service this past experience. Warn your customers if it's a newer waxer and if they take longer so they can plan better. You are in customer service after all! I won't be back at this location. Be better Mill Plain EWC.

When my friend suggested we come back this past Saturday, I was hesitant but decided to give the salon another chance. I spent $150 on my nails because my daughter's birthday party is next Saturday, and I wanted to get them done early so I wouldn't have to worry about them during the busy week. We left for Seattle after my appointment and returned Monday. By Sunday--less than 24 hours later--my nails had already started chipping. I went back to the salon to have them look at the issue. Instead of acknowledging that something might have gone wrong, the first thing I was told was that "this gel doesn't last long." I asked, "Less than 24 hours?" I was then asked if I had been cooking a lot for my daughter's party. I explained that the party wasn't for another six days, so that wasn't the cause. During the conversation, the customer service representative rolled her eyes at me, which made the experience even more disappointing. My issue isn't the money. It's the lack of customer service and accountability. Sometimes products fail or mistakes happen--that's understandable. What matters is how a business responds. I ended up going to my regular nail salon, and the difference was night and day. As soon as I walked in, they asked, "Oh no, did we do this?" When I explained what had happened, they fixed my nails with care, kindness, and without making me feel like I had done something wrong. I believe good customer service is about listening to your customers and standing behind your work. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here, and because of that, my friend my daughter and I, won't be returning. My friends nail was also damaged and her finger nicked at this appointment but I will let her write her own review. UPDATE: THanks for the response again this confirms that they are blaming the client and lying. No apology about how I was treated. Your response speaks volumes. If you did stand to your 7 day policy I would have been treated differently from the start and this review would never have happened. Not the clients fault that you use cheap material.

I have visited plenty of nails salons before and I absolutely love this place the most!!! My nails look so good all the time I come in galaxy nails (I have solar nails on)! They last forever compared to the other places I went to! This was supposed to be a relaxing experience but turned out to disrupt my next few days. Unbelievable $80 for this is absolutely insane. Got a pedicure here and the lady cut the side of my toenail down all the way to the cuticle. I can't walk on my foot because my big toe hurts so bad. I screamed when she did it and couldn't believe how much of my toe nail she cut off. When I got home, examined all my toes and she cut all of my toe nails at an angle and ruined the shape of my nail? I have no idea why. She did not paint my full toe nail. She painted about 70% of my nail and didn't paint any of the sides, got tons of polish all over my skin. Had to take today off because my toe hurts so had. I'm praying it's not infected. It's going to take forever for my nail to grow back and probably be an ingrown. Not to mention the entire time this lady was trying to up sale me on getting a more expensive pedicure and I kept refusing. It was exhausting. I am beyond pissed at how much my toe hurts. I can't believe it. Do not come here if you value walking. My friend came here and had the exact same experience. Except both of her toes are in serious pain. Go to lavish nails instead.

I go once a month to have a deluxe manicure and a deluxe pedicure. Tina is my nail technician. I pay more for gel, because it lasts all month long. What really impressed me most was their safety protocols during COVID. Even before then, and now, it is a clean place with sterilized nail tools. There is no nail salon odor, as is typical in other salons. For the past 15+ years, I've had no issues with my nails. In fact, I get compliments frequently. I choose a pink-nude color for my nails, because it looks more natural and professional. I keep my nails short, because I use the computer a lot with my job. I also have a 2 year old granddaughter, so I don't want to accidentally scratch her with longer nails. I use a darker taupe color for my toe nails. Matches everything. My daughters love receiving gift certificates from Natural Nails for birthday gifts. If you love having soft and beautiful hands and feet, visit Natural Nails and they will pamper you. Their prices are reasonable for what you get. I love their massage chairs, when I get pedicures. Tina always asks me what I would like to drink. I prefer water. I've seen others having mimosas. She only goes once every few months because she's married, works, and has three young children. My youngest daughter goes every other month. However, when I went to pay he told me $69 instead of the normal $50. I realized he was charging me for services I didn't ask for (oil mask and hot stone massage + who knows what else) that he choose to perform on his own. At this point I didn't argue because I don't like to create a scene and it is pointless to argue with someone this appalling and I will never go back. While I was receiving my service I heard another client arguing with him at checkout but thought nothing of it but now suspect maybe the same was done to her. By doing this you get more $ from customers for that day but if you are now wondering why they don't return this is it. Sad because the technicians themselves are nice and do good work. Not their fault at all. I rated 2 stars because the quality of the work is 5 stars however the dishonesty is negative stars and a total deal breaker.
