Abe is a very reasonable man, who was very apologetic and wanted to find a way to remedy the situation. I didn't agree to the initial suggestion to cure the problem, but he agreed to resolve it in a manner that was acceptable to me. I would lease from this place again if dealing with Abe. Abe has been on my back to resolve the issue, understanding and has really made an effort to offer a white glove treatment.

Because I was always afraid that being a "one guy, guy" would limit me in terms of options etc...and I've always fancied myself as someone who likes knowing everything before choosing anything. The only exception to my self-imposed rule is when it comes to cars. Over the last 25+ years of family cars (as in leases, pre-owned purchases and bodywork/repairs) I thank the good lord for infesting my brain with enough common sense to admit we need a "car guy" and that no matter how we looked at it, we couldn't do better than Allstate. Why? Well for starters, they've talked me & the mrs OUT of cars when most would've gone for the easy close...especially when our other choices were less expensive and less profitable. The reason? Because they know their cars AND their customers and knew that on occasion, putting someone with our vehicular idiosyncrasies into the car of our choice would mean we'd spend the bulk of our lease looking to get out of it. Believe it or not, that's what you want from a car guy--the confidence that comes from knowing that it's ok to make your car related quests and questions "his problem" because you know that by doing so, it'll never actually turn INTO a problem. Remember they're in car leasing which means they're essentially offering the same deals as everyone else...what puts them miles ahead of everyone else is their integrity and the value-add of doing it all...which is my way of saying thank god for their collision shop Gratitude like that is almost inevitable when the DMV decides your 5 sons are roadworthy even tho they refuse to put away their laundry in baskets or remember to turn off the lights in rooms they're no longer inhabiting. Or to put it another way they've had their share of fender benders, T-bones, Deer-driven demolitions etc. As a parent my philosophy always was cars can be fixed way easier than kids, so as long as our boys emerged unscathed (probably because Allstate wouldn't allow me to get them anything close to the cool compacts/subcompacts their friends had)...I was ok making sure they knew to have AllState on their speed dial. In any case--and even when it meant covering part of the rental on their own as fixing it properly was talking longer than Geico allotted for...every car left their body shop looking and driving better than it did before the accident that got it there. Honest, ethical, flawless quality...these are just some of the reasons Allstate is my family's "car guy"...and you can't have him...

Less than a year after purchase, the check engine light came on, and after several visits, I was told there was carbon buildup on the intake valves -- a well-known issue in VW engines. What makes this worse is that when I first brought the car in, they cleared the warning light without doing any real repair, and told me everything was fine. The light came back the very next day. Then, instead of honoring their warranty or taking responsibility, they quoted me $1,400 + tax for a repair that should have been addressed during the warranty period. Communication with their staff was frustrating and inconsistent. Every time I tried to get straight answers, I got different excuses. The dealership seems more interested in pushing sales than standing behind the vehicles they sell. I've already filed a complaint with Volkswagen of America and the BBB because customers deserve honesty, not avoidance and blame-shifting. If you value transparency, accountability, and integrity -- please avoid this dealership. They treat customers like a problem, not a priority.
