I went to Martin's store, which he owns and where he does his computer repairs, on a Saturday afternoon in early March 2024 right before he was planning to close. I called first on the phone about my HP laptop computer not charging and I was down to 8% battery power. I was panicking because I work online and had projects to complete over the weekend and during the week. Martin said he'd wait for me to come in, so he delayed closing to look at my computer. Prior to calling his store, I contacted Geek Squad at Best Buy and was texted a link to make an appointment during the week. I never was able to talk with a live human at Geek Squad--outrageous and nothing was available until the end of the week, 5 days later! Mr. Martin saved the day for me by correcting the battery noncharging issue at an extremely reasonable price, PLUS he spoke with me in person beforehand AND texted me his address to make sure I found his shop. And, he stayed a little past his Saturday closing time just to be able to help me get my computer working again. He was professional, polite, and went out of his way to assist. I did not experience rudeness at all but a genuine willingness to help me above and beyond regular working hours at a nominal fee, so I certainly was NOT price gouged because of my Saturday emergency which most other businesses would have done. Being polite to a business proprietor goes a long way with him/her being the same with you, the customer, and I know that many customers come across in a demanding, rude way! read more
