I also took one home to hubby. My fav was the Taco Everyday. I have no idea what they put on top, maybe queso? It was strange looking but tasted great! I also liked the Buffalo Soldier which surprised me because I usually hate buffalo stuff. But this one had a buffalo drizzle instead of drowning the pizza in buffalo sauce so it tasted great! Honestly, both pizzas were pretty good. I was so happy the Hawaiian pizza had jalapeños on it for that spice factor. It wasn't overly spicy and I love how the flavors meshed. I guess I'm a fan of Hawaiian pizza now lol. The pepperoni pizza was basic, but still flavorful. I will likely be returning to try other flavors of pizza or to create my own.

Ambiance is casual, making it a good spot for the entire family, no pretense required. The service at this particular location is fantastic! Despite being busy, these girls' girls are super helpful (and even complimentary--just the hype I needed today!). After dealing with rude customer service all morning, they turned my mood around and made lunch an enjoyable experience. Support local!

When I opened the box, the disappointment was instantaneous. Despite my picking as it was coming right out of the oven, and driving the 10 mins home, the pizza was cold and slices had separated from each other, looking as if it had been sitting around all day long. The crust was clearly not made from fresh and looked as if it were either machine pressed into shape, or thawed from frozen... either way, it clearly looked as if it was never let to rise. An inspection of the undercarriage of the pizza revealed a very dry and cracked crust... not a good thing in a quality slice. The taste...well, the pizza tasted like it was sauce and cheese on unleavened / matzah bread... just no... I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was hungry, but could only manage three slices and they were sitting like a rock in my stomach... In sum, I just cannot recommend Memphis Pizza Cafe. There are other options and I suggest you make use of them.

Listen... If you're looking for real NY style pizza, near the Mississippi, in Western Tennessee…read more.. this is the place. FOR REALS. Their plain cheese, and their pepperoni is absolute perfection. Slices had no slop jalop, but I'd say it varies depending on if it's been sitting. The sauce, the cheese, it all came together. The pepperoni pie is just as incredible, loaded with pepperoni and made right. The crust? Oh yeah. It's got that signature NYC touch. Maybe it's the water? It tastes right. The real deal is how it holds up later, and this crust is just as good sitting on the counter just as it is piping hot fresh out of the oven. It doesn't turn into teeth shattering leather as I've had the pleasure of experiencing with other places. Super friendly folks behind the counter. Fast service, and easily my favorite pizza spot in town. Worth it every time.

I wouldn't say the flavor is exactly what pizza tastes like in NY (needs…read moremore sauce and the crust felt too thin and didn't taste the same but it's probably the difference in water used) but it's probably the best pizza I've had in all of Memphis and the surrounding areas. My husband and I grabbed a couple of plain slices, a buffalo chicken slice (the buffalo sauce was too runny but not bad taste wise) and some knots for the toad and were overall happy with the quality and service. This place has a couple of tables to sit down and eat at just like at a typical NY pizza joint. Next time, I'll be trying the chicken roll and seeing if it's similar to the ones in Brooklyn. If you're looking for a traditional NY type place, this will be your best bet but the taste of the crust is completely different than back home, just keep that in mind. Still good though.

Very little lettuce (about 1/4 full) and what looked to be a few leftover toppings, even the croutons were awful. Only 2 of the salad dressing bottles were full. What started out as high hopes for the buffet was a big disappointment from what they advertised - burnt Pizza, chicken and garlic bread. All of each came long after we got there. To no fault of the person working, but literally, she was the only person working. Pizza tasted like I don't know what. Chicken was good. Garlic bread was disgusting! There was one other guy there and one couple came in and said it was their first time there. They ordered a pizza and left a good 75% of it. Was a big bummer. Oh the root beer was good! Always wanted to use one of their fish dry coupons, but now I won't. Facebook states thd buffet is $7, but was actually $9. Wonder what keeps them in business.

Excellent Draft Beer Menu and ABV choices, you can know why Ma and Pa like it so much wink wink! Round out the menu with wings, pastas, salads, sammies, calzone and 5 Pizza styles, and it fits the bill for everyone, even GF Cauliflower Crust and TVs around walls to catch games and golf if you must, snooze lol. Excellent concept in selection of Pizzas, yes but what type do you ask? They don't make it easy..Detroit 10x8, 10" Deep Dish (NB only 35.made.daily??), Calzones, 13" Classic, GF Cauliflower Crust, and a 18" Chicago Cracker thin--say wh@t? Never heard of this, all more reason to return! All cooked in an Italian stone deck oven 600° not quite the leopard spotting of neopolitans but it's pretty decent having just tried the Detroit Pepperoni and Deep Dish $22 and $28 Deep Dish Big Apple. Oven rendered crispy lil pepperoni cups and a decent crusty cheese edge on the Detroit, and a puffy pillow crust on the Deep Dish. Latter misses the buttery yellow cornmeal firmness of signature Chicago Deep Dishes though, and the puffy dough does get a little dry and more chewy less crisp as you get to the end of your slice and as time outta the oven ticks on. Rotolo's spicy sausage are thin slices not crumbled that I was expecting and sure bang a bite, it's very good. Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad $14 with pesto honey mustard, not too sweet was the most inventive salad that I've never seen before. Gave the pepperoni to my guest and still delish with crispy romaine and grape tomatoes, parm & bright zesty banana peppers. It's huge and enough for 3 of us. Didn't add but Chix was only $3 to add or $5 for fried /grilled shrimp! Hubby's real IPA 4/5* and Wisconsin N/A Untitled Art Juicy IPA $6 were very flavorful. Both a cloudy lemonade color, good hoppy bite, clean finish though the real IPA's is short not lingering, it's better on the NA actually, and prefer over more commonly found Athletic IPA 5/5* Waitress was a young student, attentive and lots of them running around, she did a great job, refills, order, checking in, out. Next time bringing my woolies to tame RC&C's arctic chill and appetite for that Cracker crust stuff haha but sticking with that killer Brussels salad and NA Juicy IPA.
