LOL, my daughter chose a made-to-order restaurant, yet we had appointments to line dance at 7:30pm. Going to miss the first lessons, lol. Quality/Quantity - This place is known for their pizzas (so no really need to order anything else). Also, they were made-to-order, so you need to be VERY patient. Our two pizzas took approximately an hour, maybe over an hour... Greek Salad - Came out right away. Decent size, more than enough for the 4 of us to share. Mr T-Rex Pizza - This is like Little Caesars's 3 meat treat. Okay, but I actually like LC better. Willie, Cheech & Bob - I liked this also, but other than my wife, we all took the jalapeno off, for the safety of the people behind us when we go line dancing, lol. The Memphis - My favorite with the cole slaw. Very different and in a very positive way! Without the coleslaw, it is just a regular BBQ pork pizza. Happy hour available. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Halloween decorating contest, see pictures. Semi open kitchen, see picture. One outdoor table. Two floors, including the rooftop dining. Small parking lot, we got the second to last space. One men's (and one women's) stall - Clean and cool decor, see pictures. Service - Margaret was good, but the kitchen was slow and backed up. It was Friday prime dinner time. Good thing we are patient. Actually, if it was not for the 1.5 hour wait, this would have been a 5 star review. Price -$68, including the mandatory (I mean convenience) tip, lol. Still reasonably priced for what we got. We took half a pizza back to the hotel. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2015 and with your two locations.

The Memphis, no onion, no coleslaw, vodka sauce base. Perfection!!!

We absolutely LOVE Aldo's midtown!!! We get the Memphis pizza with a vodka base, no onion or coleslaw and it's SO GOOD!!! Also the garlic knots with vodka sauce and marinara are to die for!!! I could drink the vodka sauce omg

Fantastic experience. The ambiance, decor, and overall atmosphere were absolutely wonderful - definitely a place with a great vibe. The staff provided excellent customer service, and the selection of adult beverages was impressive. The food was a standout, particularly the pizza. The quality of the pizza was excellent in every aspect - taste, seasoning, quality ingredients, quantity, and presentation. The pizza dough was light, crispy, and had to have been hand-tossed by the bread lords themselves! Additionally, the finger licking dipping roasted red pepper garlic Hummus with lightly toasted Pita Bread and the Marinated Meatballs with Texas Toast were delicious, making for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Overall, I highly recommend Aldo's Pizza Pies - Midtown for its outstanding ambiance, excellent service, and top-notch food. It's a place where both the atmosphere and the cuisine are sure to leave a lasting impression.

What the heck! This was the best pizza I've ever had. I got oil and garlic in place of marinara. Topped with their signature cheese blend, pepperoni, onion, and green peppers The cheese is SO good and the crust is the best texture and flavor. It's buttery, flaky, and crispy like a biscuit almost (similar to fresh Pizza Hut breadsticks if I had to make a comparison to one of my guilty pleasures) I typically always leave the ends of the crust but I ate every piece of this one. The service was also great. I arrived before the quote time for my takeout order and the employee communicated updates and then walked over my pizza when it was finished. I'm traveling from Texas to Massachusetts and was excited to eat some pizza that I miss from my hometown but now I'm mad the best pizza was in Memphis the whole time

Aldo's has some of the best pizza in Memphis. Hands down. Very few rivals exist in the Memphis area for great pizza, upbeat positive customer care, and a super chill vibe. This place even has a sweet rooftop bar over looking beautiful crime free Midtown Memphis. I have enjoyed every whole pizza I've had here. I have had it catered at the office a bunch. I wish that I could come here more often and actually dine in, but my wife slings pizzas (kinda) for a living, and it's just not even able to be on my radar. She just doesn't dig pizza like I do any longer. I would come here at lunch but I am fucking anti social at work and can't even touch a whole pizza by myself. The slices are out for me as it was the only time I had bad pizza was "by the slice" at lunch 2076 days ago. Maybe I should try again. '24 - 15/100

Aldo's is one of our favorite pizza shops. Every time we order a side house salad with their excellent homemade ranch which is a must have for any pizza restaurant! After salads we are creatures of habit and always order the slice of the day. Todays slice was pepperoni pizza with red onions and spinach. The slices are large and come out quickly! Our server was kind and attentive and everything came out at the appropriate pace. The vibe is modern steampunk ish. Gratuity is automatically included in the bill at time of payment.

My friend and I decided to tried Aldo's on August 31st, 2024 and it definitely was worth it. When we walked inside the restaurant we were greeted immediately and waste no time getting in our seats. Our server Ashley made sure we didn't have to wait long for our order. Ashley kept checking on us to make sure everything look right with our order. My friend and I tried the garlic knots with the tomato sauce was a perfect appetizer before our pizzas. I decided to build my own pizza with pepperoni, caramelized onion, and bacon. The caramelized onion were a little too burnt for me, but the pepperoni, bacon, and the crust helped neutralize the burnt flavor of the onion. Definitely a place I will go again.

I usually order The Lombardi or The Memphian. I have never understood paying for gourmet (non fast food) pizza until Aldo's. It is savory and so much fun to eat. I really feel that this is the best pizza in Memphis and completely worth the price The ambiance is a bit loud and chaotic, which I enjoy on occasion. Service may be fast or slow depending on how many people are there.

Just a typical pizza joint. No bells and whistles. Just a casual and laid back atmosphere but I enjoyed. We were a large group but service was very good. The servers were attentive and brought out orders out fairly fast. Firstly we tried the meatballs and hummus for an appetizer. They both were pretty good. There are quite a few selections of pizza to choose from including options to fit all dietary needs. Someone in my party was gluten free so they made a pizza to accommodate her. The rest of us enjoyed the Memphis (pulled bbq pork topping), chicken pizza, cheese pizza, and a meat lovers. They are not stingy with the toppings at all and the slices were huge. Oh yea, if you're feeling fun & free as I did, be sure to try a delicious cocktail. I had the Nutella martini and it was delicious and gave me the bite I was seeking. Midtown parking can be challenging but they had a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. If you're craving some hearty, good pizza this place is worth a try.

Literally had the best time of my life there last night! Grayson was the most attentive bartender I have experienced in Memphis! If you go for the drinks I suggest the cucumber jalapeño tequila! The pizza was superb and the whole place is just a vibe!

The service was a bit of an issue with how to work the monitor and a coupon code. The one employee I asked didn't know how to help. After a while the young man on the register came over to help and explained everything. (Thanks!) It was a cool little spot. The music was good and so was the food. They are individual pizzas so we were all able to get what we wanted. I couldn't finish mine. The crust is good and so was the garlic butter they gave me for dipping. We are adding this to our Memphis list. My husband who doesn't eat pork loved the beef pepperoni and chicken sausage on his pizza. It was a great touch.

I was sort of confused on what to do when I walked in. I may be aging more than I want to let on. I was lost for at least 2 mins. Hell, I even went in the wrong entrance at first. Old ass... The crust is different than most pizza places, and reminds me a little bit of Memphis Pizza Cafe's crust but a bit better. The biggest difference is the shape. I don't know why it's oval. I am curious now though. I walked the line and built my own. I got regular marinara with some pesto drizzle on top. She sauced it perfectly! I added italian sausage and pepperoni to it. Regular cheese for me! You can choose a drizzle flavor at the end. I got garden garlic butter. It's ok, but I'll try something else next time. You pay then they call your name to come get it at the counter. Me and another old man both wondered around a bit trying to figure out our next moves after paying. LOL. Old asses... It's loud and pretty hectic inside with all of the kitchen action happening inside out in the open. So if you are bothered by that, I'd stay away. It's communal seating for the most part so pull up and get ready to sit with strangers. Pizza tasted great and was way more than I could eat in one setting. I'll be back pretty regularly now that I have figured it out. Tehehe. They have a $10 special on Tuesdays. I am a sucker for any kind of food deal. I eat out 15-20 a week, so any relief is welcome. Solid concept. You should try it if you haven't, and are younger than 48 yrs old! Good move downtown! '25 - 103/111
