    Pepperoni and sausage

A classic pizza place. They offer Italian-American staples like pizza by the slice, strombolis, pasta dishes, and sandwiches. They also have lovely desserts in their bakery case! They have daily lunch specials that are very reasonable and service is quick! For the family they offer a huge pizza and the kids love the big slices!

Cheese pizza slice, see where my finger points into the sludgy dough.

Greek salad had 2 types of olives, onions, tomatoes. Came with 4 knots and 2 dressings. Dressing wasn't bad. Cheese pizza still has raw dough in middle.

It sure looked good, but it really wasn't.

My Stromboli sure looked good, but it wasn't. Just a few bites of it was all I could eat. The dough tasted burned even though it wasn't. The whole thing got watery like spaghetti if it isn't drained well. I'm not sure if the water came from the two sauces I put in it, but either way, it got soggy. Then that sausage just was awful. The pepperonis and cheese were fine. It wasn't super hot inside, but it was about 80*. Not sure if there's a temporary problem, but not a good place to escape the heat. On the bright side, they do have several lunch specials.

    Meat stuffed slice. Heavenly!

Milano's has been my family's favorite pizza place since I was a kid. (At least 20 years) We love them. The brothers that opened the original location are still there and this location is no different. They are experts at their craft of perfecting New York style pizza. If you enjoy big slices, cold beer and good people, you cannot go wrong here. They are local and the furthest location from Memphis they have is in Somerville, TN (Fayette County). There are several locations around town. My favorites are this one and the Bartlett location near the $2 movie theater. Suggested order: Meat stuffed pizza or stromboli. The pepperoni breadsticks are great too!

I love Pizza ... especially NY style pizza since I'm from NYC. In this case, Milano serves just that. Huge slices of pizza slices NY style. A second item on the menu is their Sausage roll. Delicious buttery crust outside stuffed with parmesan cheese, sausage, onions and green peppers on the inside. It is a delicious combination that will truly satisfy your (my) taste buds. Beer and fountain drinks are served here so just in case you want some alcoholic beverages, it is available. The guys behind the counter are a master pizzaiolos. Come in and try a slice and rate it yourself. You just don't compare this type of pizza to papa johns, pizza hut, etc.

One of my fave pizza places in Memphis!! Bartlett location for sure

I love the pizza and the casual atmosphere. They have lots of pasta and side options not just pizza! Prices are good and staff very friendly. Love their food!!!

Delicious Pizza by The Slice at a resonable price.

The Italian bread with herbs was delicious, and every appetizer we tried -- from the cheese fritters to the calamari -- was excellent. I chose the smoked chicken ravioli for my entrée, and it was truly delectable. We finished dinner with key lime pie for dessert, and it was mmm good. Overall, the meal was fabulous. My only complaint was the air-conditioning, which felt brutally cold at times. Thankfully it wasn't on continuously, but I couldn't help wondering -- why is the AC blasting on a cold January night? Our server was excellent as well. A+!

Our waiter, Jason, was very attentive throughout the evening and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with drinks, and I ordered the blueberry tequila sour -- twice! They were very good. I ended the night with a French 75, which was also delicious. For appetizers, our table ordered a wide variety including cheese fritters, calamari, crab cakes, artichoke dip, and mussels. Most of the appetizers were enjoyable, especially the crab cakes, which were my personal favorite. The only disappointment was the calamari, which lacked flavor, had a rubbery texture, and even the marinara sauce was bland. After filling up on appetizers, I skipped an entrée and ordered another round of crab cakes instead. While they were excellent, they were served over a bed of pinto beans mixed with salad, which felt like an odd pairing. There are definitely better side options that could complement the dish. Overall, the food was about a 7/10, service was a solid 9/10 (though drinks took a little longer than expected), and the ambiance was pleasantly low-lit without feeling overly formal. It's a family-friendly spot with a welcoming atmosphere, and I'd definitely consider returning for future special occasions.

Overall it was a bit of a mixed bag, but ultimately it was mostly a good experience. The room was nice - open space, dimly lit, enough for a cool spot for a date night. Our waitress was also the hostess - not sure if they were understaffed or that's just how it goes there. But for the most part she was fine. Had a bit of a "whatever" attitude but was nice. There were times where we couldn't track her down so we needed to ask other staff for things. The main "negative" aspect of our night (to jump ahead a bit) was when we got the check. It was noticeably more expensive than expected. I typically do a good job having a roundabout idea of what we're spending when we order, so I knew something was up. It wasn't until after we asked for an itemized copy of the receipt (that we had to ask someone else for), that we saw that she included gratuity in the total without saying anything about it. I'm glad I noticed because I could have easily given double gratuity without even knowing I was doing so. I was a bit frustrated with that aspect of the experience. The food was mostly good. We ordered the bbq shrimp as an appetizer - their creole bbq sauce was AMAZING! I couldn't get enough. I got their smash burger as an entree. Not the best burger I've ever had but it was definitely pretty good. My wife got the bolognese which had absolutely too much pepper. It was mostly all you could taste in each bite. All in all, it was a decent experience. I think I'll head back the next time I'm in the area for some more bbq shrimp... maybe get a couple orders to go :)
