Perfect course for beginners. Well kept course for how much you are paying. You don't need to call ahead. Just walk in and play

Champions review Rating 3.4/5…read more Value- 4 $50 for 18 holes on a Friday morning/afternoon. Experience- 3 Pace was slow for a Friday morning/afternoon. We had a group go around us and the 3some that was playing in front of us because they were playing so slow. Condition-3 grounds under repair on two holes. Some of the tee boxes were in need of some work. Greens were well maintained but not perfect. Some bunkers had small rocks in them. Facilities/Amenities-4 Practice range, chipping/ putting green Newer clubhouse with an outdoor patio And a small bar, minimal food and snacks. Older carts Challenge of course-3 Overall Play-Tough course There were 2 holes that I felt were unnecessarily difficult with the design. A par 3 that set upon a hill with a valley below and trees surrounding it. A 4 that could've easily been a par 5. Majority of the holes were doglegs so you really don't need to play driver off tee. Challenge came from hazards mainly all the trees. In depth review This course is one six public courses in Columbus. As someone from Northeast Ohio, Summit county specifically, I've realized just how spoiled we are with quality public courses. However, I will say, Champions gives some of the best courses in our area a run for their money. This course offers some significantly challenging holes while complementing the difficulty with some truly stunning views. While this course didn't have much water there were a fair amount of trees and sand bunkers. Most of the courses played on downhill slopes. There were also several doglegs that presented opportunities to go off the tee with clubs other than driver. On course play alone I would recommend champions but they also come equipped with a newly renovated clubhouse, patio, driving range, and chipping and putting green. The clubhouse staff were cordial but not overlay friendly. Thea starter gave great tips and explanations for the cart path rules. Recommendations to the course staff: The only issue I had with the course was that they had 2 holes with grounds under repair that took up about 30 yards of the fairway. But they did provide signs that let you know how far to get to that area and how far to clear. My issue was that they just hosted the USGA Junior tournament and that had to be an issue for those players. Also, I don't think that any course should be charging the full amount while there's major repairs going on. If I don't get the full experience then there should be some sort of discount. That's just my humble opinion. This is more common practice at courses in northeast Ohio. Overall: I would go back to see the course fully repaired and hope there isn't a ton wind.

Well, well well... I was the lucky recipient . Visiting…read morethis beautiful country club in New Albany.. Rich in history, Dripping in style. The Nicolas room was my favorite. (the bowl of warm nuts with my cocktail.) please We enjoyed the pool area and the wonderful menu. I had chicken fresh mango tacos. I was a little overwhelmed that it was just that fresh. Played nine holes of golf, gorgeous pristine course . All the golf carts have GPS fresh cold water in the cart and a cocktail gal coming around. I even hear that if you buy a home there's a waitlist for the club ... Don't quote me on that, but you would have to ask . Sign me up!

The outside of the country club has a beautiful double staircase that clearly lends itself perfectly to bridal party and prom photos. The upstairs rooms feature balconies that overlook the surrounding lawns. Both times I have been it was early in the year, but I imagine with summer flowers it looks really beautiful. The inside of the place is somewhere between totally dated and an episode of Bridgerton, depending on who you ask. Each room is filled with baroque décor, and one hallway even features a slough of old paintings of hunting dogs. On some level I guess it's all completely appropriate for a country club. The food yesterday was tasty, done buffet/catering style for our large family group. The chicken panini was delicious, as was the pasta salad. The food overall was pretty solid for our group and the buffet looked nice. I was pretty content with my experience and I would go back.

Fun visit to the CCC in very early May. We got to preview…read moretheir Cinco de Mayo menu, as well as check out their updated menu which is only a few weeks old. The offerings are quite impressive, and lots of things sounded great to us. We went for 2 apps from the regular menu - reuben eggrolls and a tuna and the fennel seared tuna, plus 2 things from the Cinco de Mayo menu- ceviche and Birria tacos. Our friend had the Thai tuna entree. I did like the eggrolls and those were great, but everything else was probably 3 stars for me. Our friend said the Thai tuna was amazing. I absolutely applaud them for the new menu and I recognize that it's all super new. Looking forward to seeing all the dishes even more fully realized as they launch into the busy season for the club, but love the ideas.

We joined as members last year and didn t have any previous experience at the club other then as a guest. Many of the established members have children whom are now members making it a tight community. This however, did not make our experience any different. We were welcomed to the club and met so many great people and continue to do so. Here are a list of reasons to join: -They have planned activities at the club that are communicated on an email newsletter. Such as labor day pool cookout, brunch with Santa, ladies and gentlemen golf leagues. They also have an evening tennis league that I can't wait to join and the list goes on and on. -18 hole Donald Ross design golf course that is undergoing a renovation as of 2017. They started on the front 9 and will accomplish the back this fall of 2017. Back to its original glory is the thought behind this project. -Pool is resort style service. Yes, grab a seat and await your service. Genius! Grab my cocktail, my snack and catch some rays all the while I don't have to get up. They have a bigger slide for adults and older children along with two smaller slides for the little ones. There is a section of the pool that is low enough for the little ones to walk in. They have a basketball hoop onside of the pool along with lounge chairs in the pool near the swallow end. -Staff is amazing here and eager to please. Chef Ray does amazing things in that kitchen. They change the menu often so you can get a few classic dishes or try some new adventures. No crappy country club food here making it easier to fulfill your food/beverage requirement. The bar inside the club is comfortable and always has a staff member pouring delicious hand crafted cocktails. Grab a seat at bar or head back to the patio with your drink and sit by the fire pit in a rocking chair. I literally could rock myself to sleep, especially after a few drinks. All the more reasons to join. Hope to see you there!
