Not enough people RSVP'd for an actual party that night so we all bought our own tickets (adult tickets are $15 Thursdays, $25 other days) and met up there. Street parking is available but watch for signs to make sure you aren't parking somewhere that needs a pass. If you can't parallel park, maybe have someone drive who is comfortable doing it. In total, 10 people showed up including a child in a wheelchair. Our tickets were for an hour but I believe we took about 2 hours; there were maybe 4 other people we saw during that time so the owner didn't rush us out. The business has around a dozen themes and several walls with fun graphics and lights. It was easy to start our way in the back and work towards the front. Or you could start on the left or right and work your way around the U shape. It was a really fun way for us to be silly, take photos, and make good memories.

This is an amazing look at the history of glass and the incredible run of the Heisey Glass Company. The collections are organized into various eras - clearly labled - that show the development of Heisey Glass over the years. Other collections are based on the type of glass - i.e. the introduction of different colors and styles. There are also exhibits illustrating Heisey's "animal glass". The staff is not only VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE but also EXTREMELY PRSONALBE and VERY WILLING (EAGER) to talk about the collections. There is a very informative (approximatley 20 minute) video that you shouldn't miss. Having spent 4 summers working in a glass plant while working my work through college, seeing and hearing the stories behind the Heisey glass was especailly fasicnating. The gift shop is loaded with pieces of "original Heisey glass" for sale at very resonable prices.

Some knockoffs and more recent production, especially in the basement under the historic house. Another basement room is for meetings but also has artifacts from the factory and explains the glassmaking process. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's a gift shop with actual Heisey glass for sale, plus souvenirs and books. Parking out front, with this in the middle of the museum complex and park. Well worth a visit for anyone interested in local history, industry, art, and decor.

The place is very cool - well taken place of - and totally not what I expected. The decor was very fitting. The owners are great folks. Event Source fulfills some kind of strange, sick need within my soul…read more I'm one of those people who daydreams about setting tables. Weird but true! In Event Source, I can play with the table settings to my heart's content. Whenever I have cause to be in here, I literally look at the options and try to dream up events where I can employ my fantasies. Those are some pretty strong feelings about tablecloths, eh?! Tablecloths, napkins, flatware, china, serving pieces, chairs, tables, the list goes on and on. You'd be really surprised what you can rent for your event! And boy, do I. For our wedding, I liked the linens that came with the venue, but we punched up the tables by adding a different napkin and a table runner. For the more "VIP" tables we changed out the tablecloth and napkin, and added chargers. Doing the whole room would've been a little too spendy, but with Event Source, we could very effectively make our wedding look above-ordinary. I also used Event Source when I hosted Thanksgiving for 22 people at my house. I ordered all the china (I have some nice china, but man, who has 22 place settings?), which was super fun because of course I went with something I wouldn't have BOUGHT in that kind of quantity. Gold filigree for everyone! (Also, bread plates, gold handled flatware, gold rimmed water goblet and wine glass.) Napkins and tablecloths, too. A plate is, like, less than $2 to rent. Totally worth it. The best part -- didn't have to wash dishes! Yep, ES asks that you return them "dirty" (we rinsed at least). Same goes for linens. Just put 'em in the provided laundry bags. Do you know how long it would've taken me to launder and iron all those table linens?! It may have never gotten done. You can rent things in sets of 10 (some other items may have different quantities... Ask!). Think beyond the wedding. ES is a lifesaver (and a dreamscape) for other events as well! Customer service is top notch. Next time you're headed to ES, can I come?

I only…read morehad 4 days to find a 20'x40' tent that had a cooling system (I didn't even know they had these, but we had planned an outdoor event for 65 people and the forecast was 96-degrees). I reached out to several companies early one morning, and Mike was the first one to call me back - it was within an hour or 2, not 24 hours like some other companies. He said he had everything we needed. And he was right! He and his awesome team showed up the evening before the event, put the big tent up, strung up some Edison lights, put on the side walls, and set up the evaporative cooling units. Mike even came back the next day, 2 hours before the party started to fill the coolers with water and ice and fire them up. The next day, his crew came by again to take everything down, just like they said they would. From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Mike and his Top Dog team! They really saved the (very hot) day!! I highly recommend them!
