I was quoted a $ for the work to be done. Then before Bill left he presented me with a bill for $150 more. I was pressured to pay the higher amount. And, NO SENIOR DISCOUNT as advertised. I will never use Bill Gagnon ever again, his lack of honesty, his laziness, he just want to get by and do the minimum work possible and charge a lot but he doesn't solve the problem, so you call him again and he wants to charge again to correct his mistakes. Where can I start, a few weeks ago we lost power at our 5 unit private condo association on a Saturday.....of course. After a visit from a local electrician, we determined it was some bad fuses in our very old main breaker outside. To no fault of the first guy, he could not get the parts until Monday because no electric supply shop was open. That's when I made the best decision to call Gagnon Electric. After giving him the fuse information that we needed provided by the first electrician, Bill senior was able to call a supplier to open to get us the parts we needed and able to come right over to put them in and get us up. I wish could say that was the end of the story but sadly, due to the age of our electric stack it was not. While there, Bill stressed the poor shape of our whole stack using phrases like "borrowed time" and "real bad shape of it were to go completely". He did this with a friendly disposition all while stressing the urgency of the situation and I felt no pressure from him at all. I thought we'd have some time to weigh our options but I received a call from bill a couple days later reiterating his obvious valid concern of the state of our electric panel. We don't have a lot of money in our association and he very reasonably offered payment options for us. Ultimately I could have gone and looked at other quotes and options, but given his years of experience and straight shooting, and my basic understanding of the technical aspect, we decided to go with Gagnon for the work. From there bill went to bat for us with the electric company as they were trying to have us take on an unreasonable amount of additional work that we could not afford due to their "change in standards and requirements". After a couple weeks of seemingly insufferable back and forth with the electric company (and a few threats of going to the PCU), Bill was able to get them to cooperate and agree to a reasonable solution. From there it was scheduling a date which occurred as planned with no delay and a timeframe of when we'd be out of power for on that day which also couldn't have been more spot on. Although the work was extremely difficult and challenging (even the electric inspector asked him why he took on something so difficult) bill was able to complete this making it seem like just another day in the office. I can not express how highly I recommend Gagnon electric and I will use them again and continue to recommend them from here on out. read more

The office electrical panel was sparking and smoking and I had to call 911. After it was assessed and the firefighter were able to shut off power, I was told to call an electrician. The department could not recommend a company by law but once I mentioned "Bill Gagnon" I was told by the fire fighters that they can't recommend but could only say that I make a great choice using Gagnon. Gagnon came out within 15 minutes of my call and put his dinner and family time on hold to help a business in need. Eversource pulled the meter which created an additional obstacle but Bill Gagnon remained professional, confident and reliable through the entire process. He was out first thing the next morning with his son, also a licensed electrician. And the two of them spent a good 4 hours installing a new panel, Pulled a permit and assisted not only with the eversource work order but also gave us some much needed guidance in how the insurance claim process would work. Our business was able to be up and running within 24 hours of this unfortunate event and I know it wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the professional folks at Gagnon Electric led by Mr. Bill Gagnon. These guys are awesome! I had an issue with no power to any of my kitchen lights for a one-month period that Bill and team his easily fixed. They were very pleasant, extremely competent and professional. I initially thought that the problem was a burnt out wire within the walls that would require the walls to be torn up but Bill applied logical trouble methods and was able to identify/fix the problem with no intrusion. They even carved time out of their busy schedule to accommodate my no-notice request to install an additional electrical outlet. An overall, great value for your money--definitely recommend! P.S. Very impressed with the service. My mother needed some work done on her home. She called in the morning, and they came out that day for a service call. She had nothing but nice things to say about the gentleman who came. Very polite and professional. He checked out all her electrical and ended up replacing several problem outlets. I've lived here in this house since 1991 and I never had to call a electrician in my life and was seeking estimates. I wanted somebody local and independent. So I called these guys second and he said it's probably something easy and it was (I was imagining tearing up walls etc. )It wasn't an emergency and we could wait but they came right away anyway and fixed it quickly and it was very reasonable. I have used Bill Gagnon's services several times at my office and was always satisfied with his work, so I decided to use him on my home. Bill came out with his son and did a few ceiling fans and bathroom fan replacements for me. I never felt so unsatisfied with a job and felt my job was rushed through. He came in and put together all the ceiling fans and his son installed them. I found a total of 19 screws within my carpets in each room (brand new screws from the new ceiling fans) when I asked Bill about them he said they were "extra", and my first thought was 19 of them? Then I wondered to myself if you drop a screw, you just leave it there, you don't try to find it and pick it up? My ceiling on my porch is wooden planks, to replace the fan up there his son hacked away at a piece of strapping with I believe looked like a screwdriver to get the new fan to fix and left those pieces of broken wood all over my porch. The fan installed in my bedroom smelled like it was burning and the base was warm after running for about 1/2 hour. I called Bill and he said that the motor must be bad and I need another one. I went and purchased another one and Bill came out a couple days later and replaced the motor of the fan and then that one was still burning smelling and warm to touch. I called Bill and asked him about it and he said must be another bad motor? I said two bad motors in two brand new fans? So I asked him if it could possibly be the wires in my ceiling and he said no. I asked him what should I do I can't use my fan and his response, "I don't know what to tell you", really???? I texted him after stewing on this for a week or so and told him how disappointed I was with him and told him I had to hire someone to fix his work thinking maybe he would try to make good somewhere and his response? NOTHING, totally ignored my text. His work was awful and his policy for taking care of a job site is messy, I spent 3 hours cleaning up after they left between, lost screws and insulation from the ceiling throughout my house from him. I wish I didn't pay him cash because I would have stopped payment until he made good on his job. read more

We always use Gagnon's. They have replaced our power box, light fixtures, added new fixtures(which included cutting holes in our ceiling)installed and vented a bathroom fan. Their work is always fast and efficient and they clean up after themselves. We will only ever use their services for all our electrical needs. read more

I hired Bill Gagnon years ago for one of my buildings I had an account with. The Sun Plaza in Nashua NH. I called him Quite often, and gave him all the electrical work. This is a strip mall with about 28 stores. I hooked him up with a great account! He made a ton of money working there, and he is still working there to this day. About eight years after working there, I called him to wire two exterior light poles at my home. I had my guys dig the holes, concrete the poles and run the wire underground to the house foundation. All Bill had to do was wire two lights, drill the hole for the wires and wire them to the box in my home. oh, and pipe the exposed wire running up the foundation. I even gave him the extra wire I had left over. I thought I heard him wrong when he charged me $300.00. Of coursed I was pissed. Hell it was because of me he had that account!
