Generator Pro (Nashua) and NH Generator Installers (Concord) were the two companies that had the generator installation process down to a science as well as good reviews on other sites. We brought both companies out to give us quotes and the work came out to about the same price in both cases. We ended up choosing Generator Pro because (a) we didn't have to chase them down for the estimate after the visit, (b) the owner personally did the site visit for the estimate and seemed like a really good guy and (c) their communication skills were noticeably better than their competitor. Generator Pro ended up being great every step of the way to the finish line. The installation process is coordinated by Michelle, who is incredible at her job. When you undertake a complex job such as a generator installation, the person coordinating the work is just as important as the people actually performing the work. There are numerous steps along the way--choosing the right generator, getting it delivered and "set", gas hookup, electrical hookup, inspection, etc--and most of it has to happen in a certain order around the buyer's schedule. Some of the work needed to be outsourced to 3rd parties, such as gas work and electrical work. Generator Pro chose very friendly and competent workers for these tasks that we were happy to welcome into our home. When the generator process was complete, the owner (Doug) drove over to give us a personalized tutorial on usage. When you spend this amount of money on a purchase, you want to feel great about it every step of the way. Generator Pro gave us a level of service that never had us second guessing ourselves when we were writing large checks. We look forward to working with them going forward!

In the years since I've had them out for a few other lighting changes. My beautiful expensive dining room chandelier had some manufacturing issues. The hooks used to hold up the chandelier would break. Yeah always fun to look into the dining room and see the chandelier hanging by two out of three arms! Where can I start, a few weeks ago we lost power at our 5 unit private condo association on a…read moreSaturday.....of course. After a visit from a local electrician, we determined it was some bad fuses in our very old main breaker outside. To no fault of the first guy, he could not get the parts until Monday because no electric supply shop was open. That's when I made the best decision to call Gagnon Electric. After giving him the fuse information that we needed provided by the first electrician, Bill senior was able to call a supplier to open to get us the parts we needed and able to come right over to put them in and get us up. I wish could say that was the end of the story but sadly, due to the age of our electric stack it was not. While there, Bill stressed the poor shape of our whole stack using phrases like "borrowed time" and "real bad shape of it were to go completely". He did this with a friendly disposition all while stressing the urgency of the situation and I felt no pressure from him at all. I thought we'd have some time to weigh our options but I received a call from bill a couple days later reiterating his obvious valid concern of the state of our electric panel. We don't have a lot of money in our association and he very reasonably offered payment options for us. Ultimately I could have gone and looked at other quotes and options, but given his years of experience and straight shooting, and my basic understanding of the technical aspect, we decided to go with Gagnon for the work. From there bill went to bat for us with the electric company as they were trying to have us take on an unreasonable amount of additional work that we could not afford due to their "change in standards and requirements". After a couple weeks of seemingly insufferable back and forth with the electric company (and a few threats of going to the PCU), Bill was able to get them to cooperate and agree to a reasonable solution. From there it was scheduling a date which occurred as planned with no delay and a timeframe of when we'd be out of power for on that day which also couldn't have been more spot on. Although the work was extremely difficult and challenging (even the electric inspector asked him why he took on something so difficult) bill was able to complete this making it seem like just another day in the office. I can not express how highly I recommend Gagnon electric and I will use them again and continue to recommend them from here on out.

BILL IS WAY TOO OLD OR LAZY TO CARE FOR CUSTOMERS AND REALLY SHOULD JUST RETIRE/QUIT/END. UNSAFE TO HAVE A GUY LIKE THAT WORK FOR YOUR ELECTRIC. Listen to this true story: I had the absolute worst experience, first phone call I called them with full confidence if they could help make an estimate to install my Tesla Y. He hurriedly says to me on the phone when I ask if he's sure he can make it: "Listen maam, if I SAY I'm gonna be there, I'm gonna be there! That's my WORD." Hangs up. On the day of the appointment, he is supposed to arrive between 10-1 that time I took off from work for the appointment. Not only does he never show up, when I call at about 2pm asking what happened, he make some fake excuse IN HIS VOICE that "this isn't bill, he isn't here right now and can't make the appointment because something came up suddenly", then when I ask to reschedule or why they didn't tell me in advance, they YELL "we can't come today! go to another person! " and HANG UP, noted again on me. Without rescheduling or anything, so I think that's that and I book with someone else and forget them. Then in the morning TWO DAYS AFTER their missed appointment and getting hung up on when following up, they randomly call and leave a message at 8am saying "We will be there in about 15 minutes" WHAT??!?!?! My appointment was TWO DAYS AGO and they just decided to schedule me in whenever they felt like it without telling me, or even knowing if I was available or interested still. Mind you, this is MULTIPLE DAYS CALLED OFF OF WORK TO WAIT FOR THEM. Thousands of dollars stolen by these days. No regard whatsoever to other people's schedules and lives and literally assume they can CHANGE THE TIME of the appointment to whatever THEY PLEASE without even CONFIRMING with the customer. Then when I called them that morning, they IMMEDIATELY started talking over me while I started speaking my issue, and CUT ME OFF MULTIPLE TIMES and when I asked why can you listen to your customer speak they literally said "Fine we're waiting for you hurry up" when I was voicing my complaint ABOUT BEING TWO DAYS LATE WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING ME OR RESCHEDULING. Not only did these guys cost me my days off time of thousands of dollars, they lied multiple times on the phone, made multiple calls to the WRONG CUSTOMER, mixed up peoples appointments, then didn't even apologize and HUNG UP multiple times when I confronted them about it. There is no slander here but THE TRUTH, the business is foul and the bill gagnon guy is WAYYYY TOO OLD to be working in business or electric. He FORGOT my appointment I called out of work for, didn't reschedule, then had the nerve to randomly show up mornings after without confirming anything or even seeing if I have availability. RUDE, DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMERS IF ITS A FREE ESTIMATE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR TIME AND THINK THEY CAN ARRIVE WHENEVER THEY PLEASE WITHOUT CHECKING THE CUSTOMERS SCHEDULE AND CONFIRMING, AND TREAT REAL SUPPORTIVE TESLA CUSTOMERS LIKE CRAP. Even after all that; no responsibility, no accountability, constant lies and excuses to make up for their failures. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND WANT GOOD WORK. THEY WILL FAIL PEOPLE THEY MAKE PROMISES TO THE DAY BEFORE, without even letting them know! They are quick to make excuses or blame the customer and don't try to make things right and will try to RANDOMLY show up at your house completely not acknowledging missing your appointment and the customer being upset!

This happened over a week ago. But imagine (if you will): awaking in the early morning attempting to get ready for work on a typical New England wintry day, when you notice the hot water is gone. As my heart sank to my nether regions, I feared the worst. Upon reaching the basement, my greatest anxieties were quickly realized as I witnessed what can only be described as a literal geyser erupting from my now dilapidated excuse of a water heater. In short, ladies and gentlemen, this thing was toast. With my basement partially flooded and my family potentially facing frigid showers, there was only one thing to do: contact the heating company who would quickest solve this dilemma for us. After scouring the four corners of Yelp for a little under an hour, A.J. LeBlanc was the first to respond. Due to it being incredibly snowy and dangerous out there (not mention having 3 other jobs earlier that same day), it took them a while to arrive. Once they did though, they were extremely accommodating, professional, and precise with their installation. After working out the quote and payment details, they were able to arrive with the necessary parts THE VERY SAME DAY! I don't think I need to tell you how important this point was for us, considering not all companies in the area can necessarily pull this off on such short notice. I won't tell you how much we spent that day. But let's just say it was just shy of a king's ransom. Nevertheless, it was quite worth every penny. They say you can't buy peace of mind, but Leblanc's prompt service comes damn close. What impressed me the most was not only the superb install job (which you can clearly see in the photos I posted); but also their brief yet thorough instruction on how everything works on the brand spanking new heater. It's worth noting that they made a big deal about making sure everything was done strictly to code. And we are eternally grateful, especially after learning the former water heater (which I *think* was around 8 years old) was severely outdated. I mean, the thing didn't even have a drain pan. Imagine having just a water heater sitting on the ground with nothing to catch any leaks. *sigh* Anyway.. The new water heater comes with a 6 year warranty. So, should anything unexpected happen before 2029, we'll know who to call. These guys probably saved our lives that day. Because I know I certainly didn't feel like catching hypothermia via shower due to an out-of-date, busted ass water heater from 2015. As such, I'm giving A.J. LeBlanc Heating, Inc. 5 state of the art water heaters out of 5.

I tried to fix it myself but wasn't able to, so I searched for electricians in our area. This was the only company that took my call that day. My initial impression was good. The service provider came when he said he would (Tuesday) and was able to partially fix the problem but not finish it completely. I paid him for his time that day and we agreed to be in contact about setting up a follow-up visit to finish the work. I emailed, as he asked, then sent a text which was how we had communicated before that, then finally after several days without a response I called. Long story short, after two weeks of spotty communication and non-committing responses, he ghosted us. If he didn't want to finish the project, I would have appreciated and respected him saying so. Rather, he just kept putting it off, saying he was busy but check back later, and offering no remedy while we were without power to several outlets in our bedrooms. We had our regular electrician come over and finish the work in about an hour and a half along with some other projects we needed done. I was hoping to have someone to call when our regular electrician is unavailable, but Aries won't be on that list.
