Mac Electric - Lighting fixture project with another satisfied client!

Mac Electric

Seth and his helper wired a 4 season sunroom, added a new panel to support that room plus some…read moreother outdoor wiring. The quote was good and they showed up when they said they would. Issue 1: Without asking anyone, Seth drilled through a brand new flat rubber (EPDM) roof to install conduit. My builder was onsite and after was not happy. Then he improperly installed the rubber cup (aka witches hat) to seal. This was outside exposed to rain and ice and obviously would have filled. I had to ask Seth to remove that conduit. Then asked my roofing contractor to come back and repair the roof properly. Issue 2: Seth left an open panel inside an unfinished area of the basement with 15' of wiring exiting the panel and laying on the floor. The wiring used to run my 240VAC irrigation pump. I had to remind him (see pic) about this the day before the final building inspection. He fixed it. Issue 3: Seth added the new outside panel, but never added the 240 VAC breakers for the pump! Seth says I asked to have the original line removed but did not want a new line to my pump...somehow. Did he ask? Does that make any sense? The pump saver is 12" from the panel. Today I asked Seth about the missing 240VAC circuit. Seth "is too busy". This last bit is why I am writing a review today. Root cause: Making assumptions without asking.

Mac Electric was excellent in taking care of our needs. They were very courteous of our time as…read morewell as our house while performing their work. Everything was explained to us in great detail of how to swap over from commercial power to our generator in the event of a power loss. We had a plug installed for a portable generator, a dedicated outlet for a freezer, as well as a 240v outlet to charge our EV. We would recommend Mac Electric! Their prices were competitive and the quality of workmanship exceeded our expectations.

After the expansion tank was added and adjusted on the hot water tank my washer and dryer have to be squeezed back into place, pipes have to be pushed out of the way to make the washer and dryer to fit. I'm going back downstairs to attempt to rectify this situation. I'm not happy that I have to do anything at all. It cost me enough. Would I recommend Heritage Home Service? No is the short answer...

We are deeply dissatisfied re: the water heater replacement service provided to us by Heritage on…read moreAugust 13, 2026 when our previous water heater broke down flooding the basement. The company charged an eye-popping $8,000 for a conventional tanked (i.e., not a tankless) water heater and its installation. We felt that this probably is at least double the prevailing market rate, but had no choice but to pay up this huge amount to get us back in commission ASAP. We digitally signed a fixed, all inclusive contract price of $8,000, however, after installing the water heater unit, the technician retracted his stance on the "mandatory" town building code to have grilles installed to ensure air circulation. We had to call the Heritage office the next day and negotiate for the installation of the grilles, as originally paid for. All in all, as a consumer, we feel totally exploited by the exorbitant pricing and shifting terms practiced by this company during a home emergency situation, capitalizing on a homeowner's panic. To cap it all, the company has not cared to respond to our written complaint on the above, which we sent by Certified Mail. We will certainly not be a repeat customer of this company and for sure have also cautioned friends and family.
