This was the most amazing cake! Not only was it beautifully decorated but it tasted delicious as well! It was the most perfect cake to celebrate our grandson turning "The Big ONE!"

Gaby did an awesome job on my granddaughters 4th birthday cake! I showed her what I wanted and she delivered on everything. Not only did it look awesome, it tasted moist and yummy. My granddaughter was thrilled. She is definitely our go to cake person from now on.

We are extremely happy with the services provided by Gaby's Cakes. We met with her back in February 2015 put a deposit for our wedding date of 9/2015. Everything we wanted she provided. We ordered a 3 tier chocolate with chocolate fudge cake and red velvet with raspberry and cream cheese frosting. Our design was spot on with the picture we provided to her. The cake was delicious and our guests were very impressed with it. Gaby was in and out and complete professional and punctual. Love love loved our wedding cake!!!

I have used Gaby for a few special cakes. Not only do they look amazing but the taste is fantastic. Many fondant cakes just do not taste good. Not only is the cake amazing but the fondant is delicious. I have personally seen many of Gaby's Cakes and honestly nothing compares. I would say her attention to detail is spot on. Her dessert tables are far and above anyone else in the area. Let's just say, she's the best!

The cake looked beautiful and was exactly how I wanted it to look. She made a 3 tier cake for my daughters 1st b day The fondant was very thick and chewy. There was a smash cake that also was covered in fondant and it was too hard so my daughter couldn't smash it. Just dented it. So that was a bit disappointing. Overall very nice just not a fan of the thick fondant.

This post is long overdue, Gaby is truly amazing. She made cakes for my sisters babyshower and made my sisters vision come to life. The cakes were delicious and everyone wanted a second piece, it's the first time we were not left with any cake. Gaby responded promptly when I contacted her and she was very helpful and easy to book. Her customer service was above and beyond and never said she couldn't do anything I wanted. Highly recommend!! Gaby made cupcakes and candy apples for my son's birthday and she did not disappoint. They were truly amazing! I'm new here in east bay i didn't know any place that has good cakes. so i yelped places and see which one has good reviews, and cake that look nice for picture as well. i really have high expectation to her because of the reviews and pics. and they all look nice on yelp. so u know what i give her a shot. but it was a mistake my daughter's cake is not that good. the top cake is dry. the cake has no design just plain pink. i mean really? i gave her a pic at least make it look the same or similar to it. specially i spend $300 for this cake. I wouldn't come back here. i learned my lesson. Foodco cake is waaaaay better. good thing i asked for my bf sister to bring some cake just incase no one would like the cake. its just a disappointment. no design no windows cake look so dead i wished i paid card so i can just dispute what i paid. Gaby did my husbands 25th beer cake and it blew my mind. I came to her with just the idea and she was able to make it better! Everyone was amazed by it, it was too amazing to eat! I don't understand all these bakers in Brentwood area that are booked months in advance. How can a business run this way? I found Sassy Sweets out of Pittsburg that made a beautiful delicious cake and will take my business there from now on. Sadly, I would love to spend money in Brentwood but these businesses make it difficult. Even though there is no cake to review, this is just for customer service. GABY YOU ARE AMAZING!! I held surprise 50th for my husband last Saturday and Gaby and her husband delivered two cakes; one a red velvet, chocolate mousse filling sheet cake and the other, a incredibly beautiful pirates chest specialty cake (white with cream cheese/strawberry jam filling!! Everyone took pictures and they all took the cards I put out (25 cards). Cameras were clicking everywhere. Almost everyone had seconds of both cakes; (unheard of people). In the past, water was available in small jars, but now it's set up in a larger dispenser. After ordering ice cream, we went to grab some water, but it had run out. I let the staff member in front know, and she kindly explained that they were out, which I completely understood. However, another staff member suddenly commented that there was no water and that if I wanted some, I should buy and pay for it. It was a bit surprising--not because of the policy, but because of the tone, which came across as a bit harsh. Maybe she was just having a bad day, which I can understand, but the delivery didn't feel very welcoming. I want to emphasize that I have no issue paying for water at all; in fact, I planned to go back to the car after ice cream to get water since we parked nearby. It was just the way it was said that didn't sit well. I didn't say anything at the moment since I understand everyone can have off days, but I do think consistency in how customers are spoken to is important--others might not take that tone as lightly. When I sat down, another staff member came over and offered my family water. If you happen to read this--thank you. Your kindness really meant a lot to us. Overall, we still enjoy coming here for the great ice cream, generous portions, and the cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable temperature made it difficult to enjoy our time there, especially during a meeting. Based on this experience, I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

It's a small but gorgeous tearoom that seats about 26ish people total. We opted for their cream tea option which is a personal pot of tea and 2 scones per person. My spouse is a pretty picky so unfortunately they dislike most tea sandwiches but loves scones so it's the perfect option for us. We also grabbed a couple counter desserts to try. My spouse got the blueberry darjeeling and I got the rose chai. Both were delicious but we liked the blueberry better if we had to pick one. We got a strawberry eclaire and a duck egg creme brulee as our counter desserts. The creme brulee was to die for and we found out that duck eggs were from the owners personal ducks do they agree as fresh and healthy as you can get knowing exactly what the ducks are fed. They had actually run out of scones when we got there and were very apologetic and transparent on the bake time needed. They offered to remove the scones from our bill if we didn't want to wait but we gladly waited and enjoyed our desserts first. The scones came out maybe 5 minutes after we finished the desserts and they checked in with us again. They were fresh out of the oven and served with faux Devonshire cream and a housemade cherry compote from local cherries. They were well worth the wait. If I had any suggestions it would be to make a reservation option for cream tea on their website as I totally would have made a reservation but it only had the option for afternoon tea reservations.

I contacted Gaby's Cakes hoping that they could help with my obsession of having running n-gauge trains on my kids' birthday cake... they delivered! Quite literally, I mean, they really did deliver the cake! They showed up right on time on the day of our event (which is awesome because I have no idea how I would have gotten a cake that large anywhere in my little Prius). The cake was beautiful... a double loop of N-Gauge train track going around a (chocolate covered rice crispy treat) mountain and lake with bits of landscape detail here and there. The cake itself was a super moist chocolate with raspberry filling all wrapped in fondant. Good fondant! Gaby's Cakes adds a bit of flavoring to the fondant... even my wife liked it, and she hasn't been a fan of fondant at all until now. read more

Gaby made my daughter's dream birthday cake. We met with her and showed her a few different pictures we had found on-line that we liked. She was able to capture what we liked best from each picture. She was also able to add a personalized chocolate tree with a possum hanging in it and an owl that my daughter specifically requested. (We had her party at the Lindsey Wildlife Museum.) Gaby, did an amazing job with my birthday cake. I love the princess jasmine from Disney and she did such a fantastic job. The taste was to die for, it was so rich and not dry at all.
