This bakery is super cute! The space is clean and inviting. Quiet when I went on. Monday morning, if anyone wanted to just take a seat and work on a laptop, this place is perfect. The service was prompt, which I appreciated. They were also friendly, just ask for your utensils and napkins. The food looks great too! The crust on the tarts are not the shortbread or pie crust that I'm used to. I'm not sure how to describe it, but both the lemon tart and the mixed berries tart were good!

The following pastries that I tried were good. They're not too sweet which is good for me. Pear Pastry Pain Au Chocolat Pain Aux Raisin

Their pastries are superb. Their vanilla latte was strong and tasty and their mango smoothie was delicious. Very friendly customer service. Clean place and plenty of parking. I saw the owners kids behind the counter, which was really cute. I like supporting small family owned businesses :)

Doré is one of the first bakeries my husband and I went to when we moved to Brentwood. We have had the opportunity to try a variety of pastries and deli food since then and we have really enjoyed everything we've tried from the sandwiches to the desserts. The croissants are always very flaky and the apricot Danish actually has apricots on it rather than jam, which is lovely. My husband recently went to Doré to get me a variety of treats since I am recovering from surgery, and the staff were all very patient with him while he took photos of the case and texted them to me so I could pick from bed. He said they were very polite and never rushed him while he took time to do that. It's just a cute little family bakery and we love it.

Their raspberry cheese danish is so delicious. If I could eat it every day, I WOULD!!

Dore Bakery had a food stand at Danville's Farmers Market. name didn't ring a bell. Brentwood didn't register either, haven't been there in nearly a decade. offerings: the usual french pastries. . eats: ham & cheese croissant (5) -very buttery with dried cheese & savory ham present. one of the better versions ate. quiche slice(5) -very fresh tasting unlike others which tasted slightly cold. take outs: -all pastries had pricing & labels. most were nearly sold out. not surprising considering quality. -served in plastic shells, not bags, classy! -lots of parking in lot

I am so glad that we have this bakery in town. I had called to inquire on what kinds of cakes they had and holiday hours. The lady who had answered was friendly and helpful. I ended up purchasing the chocolate mousse cake. The cake was delicious! Not to sweet or bland. My kids gobbled it all up.

Never tasted such a sweet and hard to chew macaron in 27 years of my life in France. Sad... not even mentioning the look of it...
    Marine C.

As native French person, I missed my French pastries, and we found this bakery, so disappointing. Too sweet. Macarons were CRUNCHY, so sweet, and put in a plastic box like some random leftovers. The pastries were ok, although the one we took was not what they labeled it to be (a Clafoutis is NOT that, my friend). When we entered, no one even spoke French. And in our culture, we DON'T use plastic, and we recycle, they call their bakery " French ", that is not French. Just a regular pastry store. Let's not even mention a ternager coming in from the back in sweatshirt, grabbing a pastry with bare hands from the display thing, with costumers out front! Not hygienic AT ALL and so rude. Again, that's not my culture--French. Quel dommage, les macarons croquants et dans une boîte en plastique, NON MERCI.

The pastries are to die for. Royal pudding is the best bread pudding you've ever had. The Kouign-Amann melts in your mouth.

The place looks really nice now--such a pleasant spot to sit, enjoy your treats, and relax, especially with kids. The ice cream is always delicious, and we absolutely love their affogato. I was also amazed that they go by cups--we got a lot for the large cups, which felt like great value! I did want to share a small piece of feedback about our recent visit. In the past, water was available in small jars, but now it's set up in a larger dispenser. After ordering ice cream, we went to grab some water, but it had run out. I let the staff member in front know, and she kindly explained that they were out, which I completely understood. However, another staff member suddenly commented that there was no water and that if I wanted some, I should buy and pay for it. It was a bit surprising--not because of the policy, but because of the tone, which came across as a bit harsh. Maybe she was just having a bad day, which I can understand, but the delivery didn't feel very welcoming. I want to emphasize that I have no issue paying for water at all; in fact, I planned to go back to the car after ice cream to get water since we parked nearby. It was just the way it was said that didn't sit well. I didn't say anything at the moment since I understand everyone can have off days, but I do think consistency in how customers are spoken to is important--others might not take that tone as lightly. When I sat down, another staff member came over and offered my family water. If you happen to read this--thank you. Your kindness really meant a lot to us. Overall, we still enjoy coming here for the great ice cream, generous portions, and the cozy atmosphere. Sharing this as feedback because we enjoy this place and would love to keep having great experiences here.

I ordered the Joe's Scramble with hash browns and wheat toast. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict with country potatoes. We didn't have to wait long, and you definitely get your money's worth - the servings were quite large. We ate well, and had enough leftovers for dinner. This Hawaiian French restaurant is something out of LA, San Francisco, or even Honolulu/Waikiki. Such a great brunch spot! The interior decor is like a ruined old-French still quarter building with the visuals of balconies just like Paris. There are even classic vintage French poster prints on the wall with an island touch of plants hanging and the music of Polynesian reggae in the background. The menu is great with lots of items to choose from as well as a wine list. We started with a mimosa carafe with 5 different juice flavors to choose from like mango, strawberry, passionfruit, orange, etc. I ordered their Loco Moco which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I did love the way they cooked my burger patty (medium), so it had some nice char texture. My friend ordered the garlic shrimp with coconut fried rice. This tasted delicious and very authentic. It was better than some dishes I actually had in Hawaii. The French toast was regular and tasted nothing different than other's I've tried.
