08/30/3025 WOW!!! This place has gone down hill with the quality of their food since they first opened. We have been coming here for years and its very sad as we were big fans of this place . Last nite we had the worst meal ever from here . Especially since we used to LOVE their Spicy Wings . We had : *Spicy Wings - Terrible way undercooked *Waffle Rice - Not a good flavor combination *Spicy Pork Belly - tasted like spoiled meat , we almost got sick, it's a good thing we didn't eat it all. We will not be back.

Doshirak - increased in price, but the portion is the same and it's still just as tasty

Wow, what a drop off. Gabose Pocha used to be one of my favorite food spots in South Florida, but something has changed for the worse since their remodel. I stopped by last week after not having been since before their renovations, and not only is the place totally different inside (not necessarily in a bad way, just not as cozy and authentic-feeling), but the prices on the menu have gone up slightly and the portion sizes have gone down pretty significantly. The portions for the Doshirak and Corn Cheese were about the same as they were previously, but the Cream Tteokbokki and Spicy Pork Belly were ridiculous. The pan of pork belly looked like it had been half eaten when it reached my table! You can see the before and after in my pictures. The food at this place is excellent - like, seriously good. However, I can no longer justify driving 45 minutes to pay more for less food. One shout-out I will give is for the waitress the day I went. Despite sporting a boot from an ankle injury or surgery and being the only waitress in the place, she was very attentive and made sure my table had everything we needed.

The ambiance made me feel like I was actually in South Korea from the music to the decor, I loved my experience here. My friends and I had a few apps and drinks while we waited for our table at their sister location next door. We tried some of their Soju 소주, Jumuk Bab 주먹밥, and Gamja 감자. My favorite was the Gamja Fries they were so おいしい tasty!

The food was phenomenal. All of the side dishes were spectacular, the appetizer of fresh oyster was amazing. The service was amazing, the server check up multiple times to ensure that was amazing. The ambiance, is a nice and chilling environment. Great and amazing place to have Korean food!

Delicious food, great ambiance, top tier service. Bulgogi rice - 8/10. Delicious! The pieces of beef in the rice were very tender. The rice was flavorful. The cheese added an interesting layer to it. I asked for light cheese but ended up picking off most of it off. But overall it was really good. Goon Mandu - dumplings - 7/10 these were not the texture I expected. It tasted a lil breaded. But the gravy on top was thick and a little sweet Wings 6/10 - I'm not sure what the sauce was but I wasn't a huge fan. It was sweet and savory but the sweetness was definitely a sauce I had before but still tasted a little off on the wings. The wings were fried to perfection though. I would definitely come back!

Karaoke and Korean food/drinks? What better plans for a Friday night than this! Finally popped my Gabose Pocha cherry after hearing about it so many times! Contrary to what I originally thought, Gabose Pocha is separate from Gabose Korean BBQ... although they are in the same plaza. If you're looking for a good meal with quality KBBQ meats, opt for Gabose BBQ. But if you're looking for some casual bites, drinks, and a fun time- head over to Gabose Pocha! We ended up eating at Gabose BBQ and got drinks at Pocha after. We had a large group of 7 but were able to share the long table in the center with another large group. If you stay further into the night, they start their karaoke sessions which I definitely recommend! We ordered a round of drinks and some bites including their bulgogi ramen nachos- a must! This consists of the fried ramen topped with marinated rib eye, pico de gallo and sriracha! Of course, we also got a round of sake bombs.. or were they soju bombs? Whatever it was, they were the liquid courage some folks needed to take the mic for karaoke. The ambiance is chill although it can get a bit rowdy when the singing starts. A great spot for a night out with friends! I'm planning on coming back for that watermelon soju punch bowl... that comes in an actual watermelon!

Went here for dinner with friends of 5 and the food was great. Server was a little rude to us probably cause she knew she could add the 18% gratuity to our check but so kind to the table of 4 next to us. Food was still delicious. It takes a while for each entree or app to be made but they probably make it per order

Geonbae! That's how you say Cheers in Korean, and I want to start with a huge shoutout to my friend Cecilia for getting me to expand my palate beyond burgers and chicken parm. Granted, she did help to find "safe" plates for me:) We stopped by this past Saturday for a dinner, drinks & a night out. The ambiance is dim lights but not in a dressy sort of way, with KPop and Korean EDM in the background. Cool art too! Now in times of Rona, our temperatures were taken coming in & we had to sanitize our hands. Staff was masked, and we had to remask even just walking to the bathroom. As usual, I tried to start with their Sesame Leaf mojito, while she ordered their strawberry basil shrub. Our tastes in alcohol vary slightly so I ended up with this before switching to Hite beer (wheaten and an overall smooth sip). My mojito was more like drinking a salad so I'll pass on that. Foodwise, my favorites were the chicken wings with a yummy, sticky sweet & spicy Pocha sauce. The flavor combination was perfect and the wings were pretty meaty. The pork belly, with a similar sauce but slightly more heat was another close favorite. Ramen nachos were decent, like but not love the dry noodles. Tater tots were also yummy.

I first tried the Cajun + garlic edamame, which was so good, then ordered gyoza - also really good! Then I moved to sushi rolls, which were very filling. We ordered the Salmon Tataki, Gillebu, dumplings, scallops, chicken fried rice, and Kanisu. The food was good overall, but the portions were super light. We understood it was tapas-style, but it just wasn't enough considering the price. The Salmon Tataki was good, and the dumplings were fire. The chicken fried rice was okay. The scallops were juicy and well-cooked. The hardest part was the wait. It took at least 45 minutes to get our food. They brought out a roll to make up for it, which we appreciated, but we were still disappointed. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. I might come back because there's a part of me that thinks they were just having an off night. I will say the ambiance was nice--it could be a good spot for a meetup with friends.

Sat in front of the Whiskey Neat windows on the patio and ordered a slab of ribs. The bar is lit up with red lighting, a red brick back drop and some cool artwork against the warm wood panel walls. The front area had some basic sofas kinda a cigar bar theme. The ambiance is not even close to the sultry sexy vibe at their Sunrise location, although the open courtyard here with the coconut trees make up for the shortcomings. The gender neutral bathroom had cool brick wrap around walls and withered black tile flooring but needed some TLC, obviously no bathroom checklists enforced here.

The drinks were absolutely on point and I walked away with a much better appreciation for whiskey than I came in with. The prices were surprisingly decent for what you're getting, which made the whole experience feel even better. But what really got me was the ambience. Inside and out, this place just hits different. There's a vibe here that's hard to put into words -- it feels elevated but not pretentious. They had a DJ going and it perfectly complemented the energy without being overwhelming. It just all came together in the best way. Strongly recommend. Whether you're a whiskey veteran or just starting to explore it like me, this is a must-visit in Fort Lauderdale. Do yourself a favor and go.
