I used Yelp, rather than the 800 number (which reportedly is slow in responding). Well a Yelp inquiry wasn't much faster as I didn't get a response for a day and one half. The good news is that Ken got back to me and things went well after that. We set up a remote access day and time. The remote access works really well and he was able to figure out a couple of details that were blocking the connection (cached incorrect credentials, Google Access issue, Registry issue and 7 unneeded and worthless .OST files). He even suggested a better virus protection software product along with improved Ad Blocker software. I am very pleased with the knowledge and support of Ken. They charge for a minimum of one hour and he had me working in 40 minutes. He told me that if I have another issue, I can use the remaining 20 minutes of help.

I called Elk Grove Computers and was told to bring them in for a free diagnostic test. When I arrived at their location, I discussed the symptoms and was advised that the two computers could be repaired, and the Dell would be ready in a couple of days. The Dell was a very inexpensive computer to begin with, so I told them that I didn't want to pay a lot to repair it. We also discussed the fact that I had purchased the Dell because the computer that I had in my classroom was in such poor shape, that I decided to buy my own system rather than deal with the school district. The next day I received a text message saying my Dell was ready to be picked up. The owner of the company stayed late and repaired my computer just in case I needed it in my classroom. I was extremely impressed. About a week or so later, I received a call about the other computer, an iMac 27". Based on what was happening with that computer, I had been expecting to pay over $1000.00 to have it repaired. Elk Grove Computer Service made all need repairs, and installed updated software for less than half what I was expecting to pay.
