I dropped my laptop off here in dec. 2024 when my laptop stopped working. The owner said I just needed a new battery and keyboard replacement. I Picked up the computer a week later. I placed a new battery (same exact specs as original but slightly different design) that i purchased, inside the laptop and the laptop shut off after 5 minutes. I brought the laptop back and the owner said that the battery fried my computer (another local shop says that did not happen). The owner said he would look it over and get back to me. Two weeks went by when I finally went to the store to pickup my laptop, only to find out the owner left town and won't be back for another 2 weeks. He messaged me, said once he got back on feb. 14 he would work on the laptop. I once again had to message him for an update on the 19th, he said there's nothing he can do and it's ready for pickup. 2 months & $200 later I'm left with a laptop that still doesn't work, and his keyboard replacement is very questionable. See photos to see how wavy the "new" keyboard is. He said "that's just how it is ". I asked for $100 back and he basically told me to kick rocks. This shop doesn't take their customers serious, why would any reputable shop stand behind a newly replaced keyboard that looks like this? Not only looks like that but makes weird clicking noises on certain keys. I will upload the video I took to YouTube just search "Kadi computers, Elk Grove CA. The photos may not do the terrible work justice, but basically some keys are raised all the way, up and some keys are totally sunken into the body of the laptop, while the escape key is half sunken and half risen. As a small business owner myself I would be completely embarrassed if I presented this work to a client. read more

My work desktop was down because I was migrating my two SSDs to it and I didn't have enough clearance in my case for a normal SATA cable (straight male to 90 degree male), I needed two straights. I called up a few places in the area, tried bestbuy and staples, nobody had what I needed in the same day it was all backorder, called up KADI Computers, spoke over the phone with a nice gentleman (didn't get name) and he had exactly what I was looking for and for cheap as well! Sold me not one but two straight to straight sata cables for 8 bucks. I dropped off my old laptop yesterday not even knowing what I needed done, just explaining how it seemed to be stuck at some automatic repair. I was so relieved that Hamza didn't seem phased by the issue, that I didn't even ask him what a diagnostic check and repair might cost! This morning I received a text saying my laptop was ready. I drove to the store, Hamza explained exactly what the problems were, answered all the random questions I came up with, gave me advice on how to properly shut it down, and the cost was VERY reasonable. I was just about to purchase a brand new laptop because I've been so frustrated with this one. Based on this experience and Hamza's professional opinion and advice, now I think this old machine will last if I properly take care of it. Brought a custom built PC in after it wouldn't boot at all, decided to bring it here to see what the issue was and if we could get it fixed. Brought it in on a Saturday and was told by Hamza we'd have an estimate and answer by the end of the day that day or by the following Monday at the latest. Monday afternoon rolls around, absolutely no call back from the store. We figured he was just busy and waited until Tuesday to give him a call back. He told us that he still wasn't sure what the issue was and that he'd need more time to look at it. Okay. We offered our thoughts that it was the motherboard causing the issue and asked for an estimate on what it would be to replace it. He said he'd give us a call back. A full WEEK goes by with again no communication from Hamza at the store. No updates, no estimates, no help. We call him back every few days to the same excuses of "I didn't have time" or "I'm busy with other projects." We understand that, but at this point its been two weeks and there's no excuse. When you promise efficient service and then ignore your customer for two weeks, all the while those customers are placing blind trust in you with their expensive electronics, you need to be responsible as a business owner and either do the job as you say you will, or admit that you don't know the answer so we can at least take it to someone more responsible and experienced. Our PC is used daily for work and entertainment and to have lost two weeks of progress on repairing it to a sleazy PC business is beyond infuriating. On top of all this, at some point during this pointless two week long endeavor, someone also put way too much thermal paste on the heat sync and processor and got it absolutely everywhere on both. Cleaning that off also wasted more of our time. Do yourself and your PC a huge favor and avoid bringing them here at all costs. Try Geek Squad at Best Buy or another PC repair in Elk Grove or Sac because this place apparently does not have the proper staffing, proper time, or proper experience to identify and repair simple PC problems. Absolutely would not reccomend. UPDATE!: The replacement motherboard we ordered arrived today and we were able to repair it ourselves in just a few hours after remounting it and it is now running smoothly again. We are both complete amateurs at this. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know, I don't know what will. read more

A few weeks ago the charging port on Dell laptop stopped working and it would no longer charge. During the pandemic it is critical to have this laptop working and charging for online coursework. I took it to two other computer repair shops in Elk Grove and neither had a replacement in stock and it was going take 2-3 days to have the part ordered and then installed. I traveled to Kadi Computers for laptop repair after the monitor went blank. According to the employee, an analysis revealed that the hard drive needed replacement. I paid Kadi one hundred and eighty dollars on October 9, 2021. Approximately, a month later, the screen once again becomes blank as it showed signs of the initial problem. The second repair supposedly replaced a loose laptop charger port, which had been loose previous to the first repair. I paid $120 on December 5, 2021. Over a month later, the screen becomes blank again and I returned to Kadi Computers for a third time. My expectations for Kadi's abilities were not equal to reality, as the laptop's monitor is still not repaired and is presently sitting on my bedroom floor collecting dust. read more

They have some great deals on refurbished computers and laptops... also some ipads at a fraction of the cost of a buying them brand new (they have Apple Mac too, which I think is cool). I stumbled on their ad in Craigslist and decided to give them a ring because I was in need of a screen replacement for my laptop. They gave me a ball park figure on what I could expect to pay over the phone. Plus they're in Elk Grove so it saved me a trip down to the Arden area. My laptop was not even functional. Neither the keyboard or the mouse were responsive and I was having graphics driver issues when trying to play games on my laptop. I took it to Kadi solely because they were open on Saturdays (which is the day I dropped my laptop off). The gentleman I spoke with was very professional, assured me that he could find the problem and that my laptop should be ready later that day, the latest would be the following day (which would be Monday as they are closed on Sunday). Here is where the problem begins. I waited until Tuesday afternoon to call the location in regards to the status of my laptop. I was told that they had still not located the problem and my laptop would not be ready that day, however it would be fixed by end of day (7pm) on Wednesday. So on Wednesday, I drive over to pick up my laptop on to be told that it was not ready yet. I was told to wait yet another day and that I would receive a phone call by 2pm letting me know whether my laptop was fixed or if there was a serious hardware issue. I did receive the call around 2:30 and my laptop was fixed! So I travel down to pick it up, keyboard and mouse work perfectly! However when I try to use the graphics card, I still get the same error messages that I was getting before. So when I point this out to the gentleman, he simply replies, "oh you just need to update your drivers to fix that." Needless to say that did not fix the problem, as I had already tried doing that before it was brought in. I ended up taking my laptop to Computer Booter in Carmichael and they were able to address the graphics issue (which ultimately had burnt out and needed to be replaced). The point of my review isn't to scare people away, the company does perform excellent work. However, their timeline and communication skills need to be improved as well as following through with their tasks. I ended up having to go to another location just to solve the overarching issue I was having with my laptop and had to pay 2 separate sets of fees just to figure out what was wrong. read more
