Really enjoyed my experience here at G Nails Spa. I saw some mixed reviews so I made sure to call ahead of time and make an appointment. Since I was going over my lunch break I wanted to make sure I could get in and out on time. And sure enough it was not busy and was able to be seated right away. Loved the finished look

This is the best kept secret of Brighton Park. The ladies here take their time with a pedicure, whether basic (classic sea salt $26) or spa. This place is CLEAN-CLEAN and there was no wait time. Other places in the area are very unsanitary so I value this. If it's gel, add 15$ extra. I paid 41$ for a gel pedicure. Prices are comparable to the area and I firmly believe this place was worth it.

I've been a client for years now, getting pedicures and manicures every month. My last visit was so disappointing, the fact that it lasted 3 hours wasn't even the worst part. For context my regular services are a gel x manicure / fill in and no chip pedicure. They seem to have hired a new lady, she asked me multiple times what services I wanted, she was on the phone the entire time. She began to soak off my gel x - I asked for a fill in not a new set. Then she proceeded to put acrylic on my nails - I asked for gel x. I ask that she remove the acrylic from my nails and she was unable to do so fully. She would buff it down and tell me it was gone, it wasn't, she would buff it down a little bit more and say that now it was gone, it wasn't. I was able to scrape a portion off myself w her tool to show her, she said it was "my nail". Well the nail where the acrylic "was gone" from according to her, began to hurt 2 weeks later. It was a throbbing pain, worse with touch, as if I had dropped something heavy on it. As I looked at it closer I noticed some discoloration coming from underneath the gel. I was able to remove the gel only to find the horrible sight you see in the pictures. I had to seek medical attention to address the infection acquired. I returned to the salon to make them aware of the situation but they said they couldn't contact the owner or the manager. They said it looked "fine", "if you want to do gel X again today it will be ok". I will keep that in mind if I ever get tired of having 10 fingers.

The man who did my nails was very sweet and tested some of the colors on his own nails so I could see them. He also recommended the color changing polish which I've never seen before!!

Wont be back. Paid 50 for very, very poorly shaped nails. Charged extra because I chose white.

I do not recommend anyone to go here after my experience. Wont be back and will make sure everyone I know is aware. God forbid you get something you don't like, prepare for some unprofessional attitude. Yes you will be charged and not told about the charge until payment. I came in and asked for a replication of the picture below. I was given a white pudgy, over-coated gel on top of acrylic. I requested almond shape before even being filed and received the complete opposite. I was trying to be nice and work with the tech since I didn't like the shape so I requested a coat of glitter on the pinkies and if it were to cost anything, she said no. I figured I'd wear this for the trip, and then come back and pay to have it removed and try dip powder since the sole purpose of these nails was just for a weekend trip. Upon payment she charged me $50, versus the discussed price $35. I asked here where the additional 15 came from and she said because I chose the color white. That upset me because those things should be communicated. She had a careless attitude about it, and to be pushed into a corner to pay like that is unethical. I called after I left and requested to have the nails thinned out a bit because they look over coated and unnatural. I initially rated 2 stars. Below is the update of the next encounter which really set me off and is the reason I will make sure this business understands the weight of my experience to a full effect. *Update* down a star for poor customer service Went back, try to resolve, got treated kindly at first until I asked for a breakdown of what I was initially charged for versus what I asked for. I asked for acrylic nails with regular polish which was 35. They gave me gel nail polish, charged extra for the color white, and charged for one coat of the glitter on both pinkies totaling $50. I was upset because they didn't tell me these charges were being made. I would have been okay if those things were communicated. I requested I get what I ask for and the tech can keep the rest of my refund as a tip...until they actually started fixing my nails. The lady who initially my nails did not look at me, speak to me, and was only speaking in a different language to her coworkers. A different coworker did my nails and handled me roughly and with an unprofessional demeanor. I tried to converse and ask what the cross streets were and they both ignored me, so I asked two more times and again ignored; a client sitting next to me was uncomfortable and answered the question for them. After that, I decided on getting my refund which should equate to $15. The manager? i spoke to who was initially very kind and willing to find a solution gave me my $10 back after I requested, to which I corrected him and said it was $15. He rolled his eyes and didn't even hand me the $5. What kind of business operates like this? I'm all for supporting local, small, companies, but it's just very difficult to when there's a problem and an ego/attitude interrupts the solution. Ill make sure everyone I know stays clear of this place. And I hope everyone who does come here has a way better experience than me. But seriously, go anywhere else.

It was ok over all I liked it it was 85 dollars which was good and there cute I would recommend good quality

Everyone was nice but I was very unhappy with the nails I got. I'm not someone to write reviews but I really was disappointed with the service. I was not told that there were extra charges for things that are normally included in the manicure price. I asked for short French tip nails and was charged $90. I will not be returning...

Did a good job..! They treated my daughter like a princess too. Not too expensive either.

My heart is jumping out of my chest, i went to a local nail shop having low expectations and my expectations were met and much more. it's not a luxury salon but for what i paid i feel i got my moneys worth. i got a full acrylic set for $90 and a basic pedi with no chip for $41. i was a walk in, there was like a 5 min wait before they sat me. took care or me, paid attention to detail. the young lady why took care of me is mai, cannot say enough how happy i am with the service i received.

Bad customer service, they are only in it for the money and techs will be talking on the phone the whole time they serve you.

Absolutely loved my experience here will definitely be coming back! My pedicure was so relaxingread more

I can't get a regular pedicure because I am doing chemotherapy and I'm immunocompromised. I came in…read moreand the only thing they did that was kind as well as correct was just offer me a polish change. I wanted French but they said they couldn't do French unless the base was clear because they use nail polish remover to make the French design. That seems like inexperience to me. I've been to places where they do French over a pink base with regular polish but this is not the spot for that. So we pivoted because I didn't want gel polish. I said I'd go to the car and get the regular color I had on my fingernails. The woman started putting clear polish on my toes so I couldn't put on shoes and go get it. Since I was in a rush we just decided on a pink dnd color with funny bunny on top to make it more white. The joke was on me trying to be in and out. I showed up at 2 and didn't leave until 3:30. It should not have taken an hour and a half for a polish change. The original woman made the funny bunny coat on top too thick and lumpy. So I asked her if she could remove it and I could redo it. I repainted my big toe correctly and then another nail tech came and touched my toenail to see if it was dry and ended up smudging the polish. We had to take it off again. The nail tech that had messed up my nail repainted it but did the same mistake as the first tech. The polish is old and lumpy and unless you put it on thinly, it is going to be lumpy on the toe. So she removed it and said a other tech would try to paint it. When that nail tech finally did come over 20 minutes later, she was able to fix the issue because she found a bottle of funny bunny that wasn't dried out. But most importantly, she listened to what I had been saying from the start. My original nail tech never came back out. And I'm annoyed that I had done it correctly and then they messed it up. I would avoid this place unless you're getting gel. Even the last nail tech said it would have turned out better if I had gotten gel. They seem not to be able to do the basic regular polish well. Just do your own nails at home if you want regular polish. I know I will be. There was also a man on FaceTime on speakerphone in the shop and we were forced to hear his conversation for the entirety of his pedicure. They did not ask him to get off of speaker. It was really annoying and not a relaxing environment.
