The wine tasting was 6 sweets and semi sweets. Very good time was had. Food was served here and I ordered chicken shredded nachos which was delicious and meaty. My friends ordered flat breads which in my opinion both tasted like cheese bread and lacked flavoring. Seating was available, live band played to groove too. Souvenir shop and wine slushes. No complaints, I really enjoyed it here. Kudus to friendly staff and a clean property.

You can choose between a tasting of all dry wines or all sweet wines, which makes it easy to pick what you prefer. There's also a restaurant on-site, The Bistro, where I ordered the pepperoni flatbread pizza, which was really good. I also tried the frozen blueberry and lemon margarita, and it was absolutely delicious! The friendliest of the staff was amazing. To make the experience even better, there was a live band playing, which created such a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Great wine, good food, a delicious frozen margarita, and live music made for a wonderful outing. I definitely enjoyed my visit and would love to come back!

"they charge you $10 per person just…read moreto get in the door" "there's no live music" "it's just not good, but the view is pretty" they were right 2 of the 3 points. there WAS live music; the most untalented, confused and awkward cover band I've ever seen. when we tried to order wine, the cashier argued with us and told us the wine they're selling "tastes like a moldy basement." that all said, we had a great time as we embraced how truly terrible this place was. the wine was bad, the food was bad (Aldi food marked up 2x or 3x, still in the Happy Farms wrapper). A group of 8 woo girls who had just paid $80 to enter were trying to convince themselves that they weren't just taken advantage of. they were - we all were. The staff all seemed very depressed or anxious - they all seem ashamed of themselves. the thing I liked most about this place was all the Pro freedom/USA signs mixed in with a bunch of signs very angrily telling you what not to do, what not to be, etc. if you like irony and can have fun in a TRULY crappy place, it is totally worth it to come to this place ONCE but I feel like the average person is just looking for good value and good food and good wine. this place has none of that. so please listen to your trolley drivers - they are NOT lying or embellishing

And this Barrel Room Tasting experience, on the very first wine expedition I've ever hosted, stole the show. The price? Unheard of. An amazing deal. We were welcomed with sparkling wine when we arrived, then whisked away to their private cellar room, where all the small bites we'd be trying with each wine were already laid out. Our sommelier for the day was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and he was great at teaching us about wine and the art of pairing. If you're looking for a unique wine experience in STL, you should absolutely visit.

I see they do have a shuttle but not sure how often it runs. Beautiful resturant with a nice selection of wine. We sat inside which was nice because it was humid outside. Unfortunately the flies were very worsom especially when trying to eat. That didn't stop us from having a good time though. Staff was very catering and attentive. I ordered a caesar salad with salmon which was cooked very well. The food was delicious as well as the wine. I ordered the wine flight with 3 pours. I will definitely return especially in the fall to see the beautiful colors.

Ok wines but if you found one you liked you could only get it if there was enough in the sample bottle unless you wanted to buy a full bottle. So we had to settle. We ordered a pizza. It was ok not anything special. The outside seating was nice with views of the lake and pretty sunset. They had entertainment which was a guy with a guitar and a gal singing. Mediocre at best. It is what it is. A mid Missouri winery. The owners were very pleasant and nice. It's a fine place to get away for a bit.

However you're in the middle of Missouri where grapes don't generate like traditional regions, and palettes are different. So if you're familiar with wineries and good wine this will be quaint but not your place. This is more of an event space with wine as an afterthought as evidenced by the gaggle of sororities and moms funneling in all day. Frankly, I was appalled at the event I attended for my daughters sorority. Everyone bought a $25 bottle of sweet or semi-sweet wine (that's this wineries specialty), dropped in a straw, and suckled their sippy cups. Their sweet wines are like wine coolers - and what college student doesn't like those? That should give context to the quality of wine and positioning of this space). Their traditional varietals all have sweet or fruit forward notes - Cabs are more like Pinots but lacking the depth and notes of a true spicy, bold cab. Past this, parking is like a festival, down a dirt road about a quarter mile walk from the front door. While I wouldn't return, it's a great place for an event and provides something unique to the area. And obviously the Greek system utilizes as a more sophisticated approach to the bars in Columbia.
