One of the guys behind the window couldn't stop swearing, and the whole interaction felt needlessly hostile and unprofessional. These crooks work with the Newport Beach Police Department to rack up impound fees. They will hold your vehicle longer than necessary to add days if not weeks. Meanwhile everyday they are charging you fees. I wouldn't be surprised if some Newport Beach police officers or detectives get a kickback for this service. Garbage guys work here. read more

I am highly satisfied with my experience with G&W, specifically with Keith. I got a huge nail in my tire and was unable to drive to get my tire changed. Mercedes Roadside dispatched my tow to G&W and Keith was the one to take my case. He showed up much earlier than anticipated, was willing to wait while I packed up my breakfast to go, and got my car loaded and delivered to the dealership super quickly. He even let me tag along since I was in a rush to leave once my car was fixed. Super kind, super professional, and great at what he does! I called G &W Towing and requested a flatbed tow of my vintage Mercedes Benz. Less than 25 minutes later Max arrived and carefully loaded and safely transported the car to its destination a few miles away. Max was cleans and courteous and took great care in the handling if my car. I had been waiting for nearly 3 hours having called my Roadside Assistance Club for a tow only to have them call me 5 different times with revised ETA of a driver only to have them ultimately tell me they had to cancel the original dispatch and had ordered a new one and would call me with an ETA once received. I called G & W Towing and the dispatcher said confidently they could have someone to me within the hour. I called Roadside Assistance back and politely told them to cancel the request as I'd taken other measures! G & W will be my FIRST call next time I need a tow! read more

I had my mom's car towed due to a small accident(hit a curb). When I found out, I called immediately to take it out. When I arrived and paid, I noticed that my mom was concerned. When I asked her why she looks upset, she said that they went thru my stuff. I am mas that they went thru her stuff and in the trunk everything was moved. Why were they going thru her stuff? I asked my boyfriend and he said the drivers steal a lot. They also ruined her registration, it was in the middle and my mom found it on the floor car ripped and stepped on with grease. I told them that I needed to get items from the car but they did not allow me the opportunity nor did they allow me to step onto the tow truck to get all of my items. Then they sold it for the rock bottom price of $700, which left me with a bill for $2,300 that they are trying to collect as we speak. Sibling crashed into a wall near home. 4 airbags deployed and car totaled so we know probably won't repair. Irvine police called them. Somehow they convinced my elderly mother to tow it to their yard and pay the $50 daily storage fee instead of charging the (yikes!) $180 to tow it... 2 right turns and 1 minute drive away back home!! Then wouldn't let us take the car back on the weekend since they're closed and still charged us $50 a day even though we literally weren't allowed to claim the car! In the end we told them to just tow the car back to our house. Waste of time and money... This felt like a scam and we should have just called our own tow company instead of letting IPD do it.
