G & W Towing - this is he's truck number 100 - Towing Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

I would not recommend this company. Poor customer service, poor communication skills, and poor people skills overall.

My son was in a car accident, and unfortunately the city of Fountain Valley uses this company for towing. Just as the other reviewers stated, the individuals who work here are the worst. These people are beyond rude and I'm honestly shocked this place is still in business. I would highly recommend NOT using this towing company if you have a choice. Not only are they overpriced but they are rude and clearly do not want to help their customers. Not worth it. read more

They impound my van stole my registration and title and every time I'd try and get my van they would put up one road block after a other. They sold my van and then tried to come after me for money. I told the collection guy what happened and he agreed with me they stole my van. Then I find it on offer up with a different vin number. Run as fast as you can from this company read more

My cousin picked up his vehicle in the first 12 hours and they charged him like $600 freaking dollars. Oh and they stole some of the property in his car. He has cameras live monitoring in the vehicle so this will now be a court matter between him and GW read more

G & W Towing showed up fast after my accident, but the experience went downhill immediately. One of the guys behind the window couldn't stop swearing, and the whole interaction felt needlessly hostile and unprofessional. What bothers me most is that this company doesn't operate in a normal competitive market--they're propped up by a city contract funded by taxpayers who have no real choice in the matter. I'd strongly support Newport Beach choosing a different towing provider, ideally one that earns business through service rather than guaranteed government backing. read more

Miserable people working. My friend called on 12/6 evening and gave his license plate number and the guy said "ok what about it" in a rude tone as if he wasn't calling to understand if it was there and if he could pick it up. Then when we came to pick it up, we tried to be lighthearted and make a joke and they were the most miserable people working. Hope your lives get better read more

These crooks work with the Newport Beach Police Department to rack up impound fees. They will hold your vehicle longer than necessary to add days if not weeks. Meanwhile everyday they are charging you fees. I wouldn't be surprised if some Newport Beach police officers or detectives get a kickback for this service. Garbage guys work here. read more

Rude and disrespectful. Charged 3 days storage on a car kept for less than 48 hours.. they know they can get away with it so they do. They know you don't wanna waste your time looking up the legal stuff that you could probably use to get charged properly and it's not worth it, but I definitely forewarn you .. read more

Terrible company, service and drivers. They need to teach their drivers how to drive, park and operate a vehicle cause they clearly don't know how to do that at all... morons. read more

The staff are very rude, I got my car back and half of my things are stolen. They stole over 300 dollars worth.

This Company sucks. I got a DUI on April 13th and they towed my car and stold my battery and stuck a old non working one in. Unbelievable. The Costa Mesa Police uses them. I tell everyone About this company. read more

They're rude, they could care less about Ur car or anything in it. People steal from vehicles in their tow yard almost every night. They are basically a tow company for the police. If they mess up Ur car they'll never admit it. Worst tow company I've ever dealt with! read more

They are crazy rude there. Especially the owner. Lack customer service skills. Doesn't support veterans and those who fight for our country. He said his brother is a veteran and he doesn't even give him a discount. Poor experience, pricey and stressful. read more

Never call them, slow and expensive as hell, place is trash, super dirty, overcharged, the worst customer service I ever seen!

Onsite staff is super rude. When I try to bring jumper to the site, they wouldn't let me. Fine, then I asked them to open all the doors for me since it's tesla. The staff only tried one door and ask me to crawl in to get my staff. I asked him if he can try the jumper. Every request is a NO in this premise. Really bad experience for this place and the staff seems don't care about their work. read more

My vehicle burned down and was stuck on the side of the road and this tow company came to the rescue within minutes. I asked them to take it to my destination and they only charge me $200. Most companies would rip you off and charge you 500+ dollars I really appreciate the genuine customer service Will be recommending you to everybody. Thank you so much. God bless. read more

Very unprofessional and lack of experience, talk with a receptionist their and told them i wanted to pick up a vehicle that was unregistered. He said it had to be registered with no options. But with a power of attorney notarizing someone on ur behalf to pick up the vehicle is possible. But his dumbass doesnt understand the law which is annoying. read more

I'm not sure how this place gets anything above a 1 star review. I would leave a negative review if that's possible, the men working there were extremely rude and condescending. They run kind of a scammy business-but I'm assuming legal. They drive around looking for cars with expired tags and they will just tow it on the spot. Beware if u have an expired tag in Newport or Costa Mesa area. read more

I am highly satisfied with my experience with G&W, specifically with Keith. I got a huge nail in my tire and was unable to drive to get my tire changed. Mercedes Roadside dispatched my tow to G&W and Keith was the one to take my case. He showed up much earlier than anticipated, was willing to wait while I packed up my breakfast to go, and got my car loaded and delivered to the dealership super quickly. He even let me tag along since I was in a rush to leave once my car was fixed. Super kind, super professional, and great at what he does! Thank you, Keith, for making a not-so-great situation so much better! :) read more

Today I got my very first flat tire ever and on the freeway. Not to mention I had a full car of Groceries, and my Father, who was just released from the Hospital. When it rains it pours! I called G &W Towing and requested a flatbed tow of my vintage Mercedes Benz. Less than 25 minutes later Max arrived and carefully loaded and safely transported the car to its destination a few miles away. Max was cleans and courteous and took great care in the handling if my car. I had been waiting for nearly 3 hours having called my Roadside Assistance Club for a tow only to have them call me 5 different times with revised ETA of a driver only to have them ultimately tell me they had to cancel the original dispatch and had ordered a new one and would call me with an ETA once received. I called G & W Towing and the dispatcher said confidently they could have someone to me within the hour. I called Roadside Assistance back and politely told them to cancel the request as I'd taken other measures! G & W will be my FIRST call next time I need a tow! read more

Hard to believe bad reviews here. I had Nick today, 100% took care of my car. I only had it 3 days, brand new. EQS 580 - I was really nervous but Nick worked his butt off doing everything Sea Country Towing said they could not do. I am extremely grateful. Mercedes recommended them. Very happy and saved the day. read more

they're deadass so rude and inconsiderate to anyone that walks in. they speak as if we're bothering them for no reason, like bruh there is a reason it's our car. then they have the audacity to falsely up charge you. they probably don't have wife's which is why they are that way and they definitely all do stuff with each other from sitting in that damn chair so much and getting chair sores. they are ridiculous, rude, and sassy. they're not men they're straight females on my momma. read more

I had my mom's car towed due to a small accident(hit a curb). When I found out, I called immediately to take it out. When I arrived and paid, I noticed that my mom was concerned. When I asked her why she looks upset, she said that they went thru my stuff. I am mas that they went thru her stuff and in the trunk everything was moved. Why were they going thru her stuff? I asked my boyfriend and he said the drivers steal a lot. They also ruined her registration, it was in the middle and my mom found it on the floor car ripped and stepped on with grease. Shady place. read more

Car was in an accident on Friday and this company was called by the Newport Beach police. I told them that I needed to get items from the car but they did not allow me the opportunity nor did they allow me to step onto the tow truck to get all of my items. A garage door opener as well as an envelope of receipts needed as evidence for a lawsuit were missing when I went to the pound on the next business day, Monday. Service was rude and process of getting items was not helpful to a customer in shock from a car accident with air bag deployed. read more

Worse towing company in the area. Save your time and call someone else if in need. They will screw you over and damage your car. They're also so rude. This comment isn't surprising with their already terrible ratings. read more

They picked up my car after the police had found it and they held it for 30 days, racking up charges along the way. Then they sold it for the rock bottom price of $700, which left me with a bill for $2,300 that they are trying to collect as we speak. I would have accepted better and will follow up with this review if I get better treatment moving forward. Thank you and have a good day! read more
