And they charged $150 for this "diagnosis". They wanted thousands of dollars for a new transmission, and I was stuck because I couldn't take the emissions test to renew my plates with a check engine light on. Brought it to Tony's Transmissions, and he replaced the sensor in a few days for a few hundred dollars. I can't remember the exact amount because I paid cash and it was about a year ago, but I just saw his business pop up when I was doing a search and remembered that I should have left him a review back then. He really did great work. Check engine light was off, car passed emissions, and we drove it for another year before selling it a friend for his teenage son. Car is still running strong.

The transmission from the factory broke down after 100,000 miles. They have replaced water pumps on my cars. They have rebuilt a rear differential for me. Actually they have done more work for me on my cars and trucks than I can mention. Everyone that I have referred to them have raved about them too. Well, I called them and spoke to George. He was polite and understanding about my situation, he researched and answered all my questions, helping me for 30 minutes. I am now clear minded on my issue to pursue my repairs locally. If I had the time to get up to Joliet and felt the car could make it, I would seriously consider having them repair it. Throughout the years, I've used many different tire places, while feverishly looking for ads and coupons to save some money. That was, until the day I came across Tire Tracks. They had some kind of special going on that day that beat all of the competitors. And what I found out was, that they sell retail tires but at wholesale prices. I went in, and it wasn't some fancy shmansy place, it wasn't decked out or pretty. But what it was, was a local business, that was in the business of doing tires (they perform other services as well, but tires is their main business). I told them what I was looking for, and didn't have a whole lot of time to sit around. They asked me several questions about the type of driving I did, how long I expected them to last for, and the type of ride I was looking to get. They then explained to me about the different variations in tires, tread, and durability. What I liked, was that they did not try to upsell me on something I didn't want or need. Everyone there was down to earth, and spoke to me in a Friendly mannerism without the typical pushy salesman approach. They mentioned, that with their tires, I could get a lifetime tire rotation for Free! In doing so, it would increase the longevity of my tires, so they would wear evenly. And while doing so, they would check to make sure there was nothing wrong with them. I've been using Tire Tracks exclusively for at least the last 10 years with both mine & my wife's vehicles. There were a couple of times where we had hit some major potholes that caused damage to our tires, but we brought them in, and they were taken care of without any inconvenience to us. Any other issues throughout the years that came up, they were able to fix as well. You can use whoever you want to get your tires from, but I'm telling you, Tire Tracks Really does a Terrific Job!
