My review is for the bar. My coworker and I stopped by for a nightcap after having dinner at Cunninghams. We sat at the bar and ordered some cocktails. They have many options and have a nice curated cocktail menu as well. It has a nice, modern vibe but not too fancy. It was a Saturday night and wasn't too busy. I assume most people there are hotel guests. It was nice that they were open till midnight. One of the highlights of staying at the Crowne! read more

Fyre Modern Grill - Hotels Near Me - Kearney, Nebraska

Another sad breakfast at Fyre, Friday, July 3. No healthy offerings like oatmeal, fruits, yogurt or even cereal. If you're hankering for fried belly-fill, this is your place. French toast, eggs, pancakes, etc. It's a good thing Starbucks is next door in the hotel because Fyre coffee is weak and tasteless, too. I ate breakfast here only because we stayed in the hotel Fyre is in and had to get on the road as soon as possible. I complained to the management about their breakfast options before. Nothing changes so I'll continue to warn fellow yelpers unless someone takes notice and makes improvements to their weekly breakfast menu. read more

Very cool place for being in a hotel/conference room complex. Very large crowd but amazingly quiet. Lighting was perfect, music was low, hostess and waiter (Keegan P) both awesome. Food was perfect, wouldn't change anything. Very attentive and informative. Wish I found this restaurant earlier in the week. read more

Terrible Sunday brunch. Service was nice but food was subpar. Nothing special so go somewhere else unless you want packaged food

The food is simply amazing! Homemade sauces that wake the pallet up. We ordered 4 appetizers 3 mains and none disappointed! The short ribs are melt in your mouth! Rib eye steak my 13 yr old granddaughter ate all of it! She always gets steak this one is the best MiMI she said Had the orange vanilla Mule, wow!! Simple syrups made in house that go beyond any flavored vodka! $220 with tip for 4! Wow! read more

Very nice surprise. Most hotel restaurants are just adequate. This one was a true gem. Much higher quality than anticipated. Great service and reasonable prices. read more

Everything from the moment we walked in! We had a great waitress and her name was Emily! She always came back at the right time when we needed something whether it be taking dirty plates away or refilling our drinks we had! The buffet was amazing!! read more

I love the happy hour and the bartender who was a very nice guy and tended to our requests right away! Great apps and drinks

A beautiful restaurant in the Crown Plaza hotel. The decor is modern and appealing. Food was excellent. Our server was friendly, helpful & attentive. Though we didn't partake, they had a buffet that included crab legs & prime rib. Would highly recommend read more

Service was fantastic, and all the food we had was excellent - except the chicken fried steak we didnt care for (dry/overcooked). The buffet was stellar! I'm going back for this. The deserts were fantastic (they need to offer the coconut macaroons on the regular menu!) If we are as impressed next time I'll change this to 5 stars... loved our mean here the first time! read more

Asked if the steak frites were available with unseasoned fries, was told by the manager that they were. They came out seasoned (over salted) they were sent back and then they came out seasoned again. No apologies, no offer of recompense. The steak was super mid grade, over salted, Sysco's finest. :(. I pass through Kearney frequently for work and will take my dining elsewhere. read more

We were driving by Nebraska. Love the place, It's clean and we were surprise with food and service. Medicine was taking care of us. She was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend this place P.s. they also have a buffet from 5pm on Friday & Saturday and Sunday lunch read more

Service was fantastic. Our server tonight was Sophie, and she was friendly and attentive on a very busy night. Food was mediocre at best. I had the 8 oz filet, and it was not a great cut of meat. Seasoned okay, but I had to "saw" with my steak knife through most of it. The mashed potatoes aren't seasoned at all (not even salt) and are over-mixed, resulting in a glue-like texture. The beet hummus was good, but was an odd choice with the filet. Broccolini seasoned well, but a little greasy. Husband had chicken fried steak- way too much breading, seasoned okay, a little dry. Same issue with the mashed potatoes- unseasoned and gluey texture. Green beans were swimming in oil or butter. Really liked the atmosphere- probably won't come back for food though. read more

Amazing dinner! I was a bit hesitant, but I am so glad we went ...what a wonderful meal and great service! Food was so good I forgot to take pics! One of the guests had the lamb and he said it was delicious; another guest had the short rib Mac and cheese...out of this world tasty! I had the french onion soup and it was so flavorful! Next time I'm in Kearney, I will be back! read more

The food here is very solid though the menu is a bit limited. We had very good service for two breakfasts we ate here. The breakfast potatoes were the standout. The French toast was also quite good. If you're staying at the hotel purchase the breakfast voucher to save some money. There are dedicated parking spots and it's easily accessible. read more

It was very good and the ambiance was pretty cool too. Got the buffet. When you spend $50 on a buffet you feel you need to "get your monies worth" so I left stuffed :-) I might try something different the next time so I don't eat so much. The service was great too. read more

Thought I found a nice place we'd go to when we stay/pass through Kearney. I thought the chicken parmesan would be good. Tried to order by phone--got recording "no one is available to take calls--goodbye." My husband went in and ordered for me and is was ready in the time promised. Got back to the hotel--the chicken wasn't breaded there was no cheese melted on top nor any parmesan to sprinkle on it, no roll and good thing I had other utensils as the ones provided were not adequate for the weight of the chicken or the pasta. Pasta was done nicely, sauce a little spicy but okay. It was 100 degrees outside so after an 8 hour drive we weren't going out anymore so I ate what we bought. Really thought they had yummy things to offer and was looking forward to trying other things. Will go somewhere else instead. read more

We had 2 awful meals there. We were seated for dinner, and our waitress took our order. A short time later we see the table next to us with prime rib and crab legs. No one mentioned a buffet. Our meal was awful, and my son-in-law was food poisoned!! The next morning our breakfast must of sat under a heat lamp for too long as our pancakes were crunchy and cost us over $100! Avoid at all costs!! read more

All you can eat Prime Rib & Crab Leg Buffet on Friday & Saturday evenings was good. Granted we got there right at 5:00 & were seated right away. Separate area for Salad Bar & the Dessert Bar. Salad bar isn't big but we didn't want to fill up on salad. Buffet was ready to go at 5:00. Crab legs hot, as w/most places the shells get soft from warmers, still easy enough to get meat out. Prime Rib piece was large, asked for medium rare & was delicious, tender & flavorful. Vegetables & Mushroom Risotto were good, skipped the different potatoes. Perfect sized dessert portions in my opinion so you could try as many different ones as you wanted. Also a Happy Hour Special that ends at 6:00. Took advantage of the Holiday Cosmopolitan, can't remember actual name of it but was tasty. We want to go back sometime and order off the menu. Beautiful restaurant read more

We were in town visiting family from the Las Vegas area when we found this gem. It is a modern restaurant that is up to par with restaurants that we are accustomed to. We were actually staying in a hotel next door but ate there twice during our short stay. The food is well prepared and the menu is sophisticated. You won't be disappointed. The Thai ribs were excellent and so were the flatbreads. When we go back we will just book at that hotel. read more

Food was good, service was excellent! Menu has a lot of options. Recommended by my cousin.

Pot pie was doughy. steak was tough. Grilled shrimp was fishy (old as if it were in their freezer too long) and had shells all over it. Croquettes were bland. Waitress was great but hadn't had any of the food when asked for a recommendation. We paid $100 for bad food. read more

It's never super busy during lunch, so you don't have to worry about waiting. I got the Nashville fyre chicken sandwich. Asian slaw, bacon jam, aoli-- on point! However the chicken itself tasted like it came frozen, like a fast food chicken. Fries were good. read more

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at the Fyre Grill. Everyone in the party had the Saturday night buffet. The waiter never refilled the glasses and only took the dirty plates away once. I'm sure he was busy with other customers. Then there was an issue with the bill. The bill came with a tip spot, total spot and signature line. I filled it out and we left. My son received a threatening call later saying we hadn't paid the bill. The billing problem was a mistake on my part but the threats were a mistake on the staff's part. I felt bad only leaving a 9+% tip but I believe the tip needs to be earned not just given. Hopefully the next visit will be more successful! read more

Great service at this restaurant! Every server looks so well put together and they are so nice. I got the chicken pot pie and a raspberry mojito and it filled me up I had to save some for later. Well worth the money for both of them! The mojito was so cold and had a hint of mint flavor in it which made it that much better. Then the chicken pot pie was so hot and smelled amazing when it came out. read more

Kearney is a nice town with nice people, however, the food in this town is not good when it comes to fine dining. I'll start with the good: the brussel sprout appetizer was the best food we've had ever at this place, the drinks were good, loved the rolls, and the manager Aaron was kind and responsive. However... The bad: the service was the worst we've had in a long time. Super nice server, apparently just not having a good night (hope this was the exception rather than the rule). Our drink order took 30 min and had to be verified more than once (there was 2 of us). Our appetizer order was wrong 3 times! And the steak was still mooing when it came out of the kitchen "medium rare." So I sent it back (end up being twice) and still wasn't right- rare again and then medium well. I just want to say for fine dining in Kearney there is nothing. The worst part of our whole dining experience is that this restaurant puts on a fine dining atmosphere but does not deliver when it comes to food or service. The place is gorgeous, but is subpar when it comes to the rest. It's totally disappointing. We are fine getting bar food at a bar, but when we want a nice dinner in town there is no where to go. The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating vs a 1 star was how understanding the manager was when he came by to check on our table. Also this was my second visit, my husband has been here many times for lunches. He's never had good food here. My first visit was also disappointing. Don't order the croquettes-they're bland. I want there to be better for Kearney because honestly it's worth the drive to another town for a good meal anymore. read more

Very nice atmosphere with a great selection of beer. We didn't have a meal just a couple of beers and the fried mozzarella appetizer. I think the mozzarella should be sliced a little thicker because the crust overpowered the cheese. But I loved that they were homemade. Will be back to try other things again. Service was good. Star deducted for bar logistics and setup. Initially inviting but had to ask for drink and food menus and the beer taps are hidden on the sides of the walls. The bartender did have the taps memorized which was helpful. read more

It was ok for a place in a hotel. The prices were a little high. The food was good and the service was great.
