Conveniently located next the convention center. I was upgraded to their Presidential suite. It was nice having the extra space even though I was traveling solo. I enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable sofa with a fireplace while watching TV. The suite has 1.5 baths, a separate shower and jet tub. The complimentary breakfast was average. Coffee and tea available all day. read more

Kearney is a convenient location when we are on a long road trip. This hotel can be hit or miss. The shower is slippery and the shower head is weak and very limited. You don't feel clean when you are done. The towels are not reachable from the shower so be careful not to slip on the floor. The room was clean and it has an elevated bed. No USB plugs any more; just outlets. Not a bad choice as long as your room is clean. Staff was friendly but we were only there for the night. Parking is free. read more

I had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Kearney. I booked a suite and it was really nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was excellent too. Breakfast had a good variety. The hotel was close to a conference center, restaurants and shops which made it easy to just walk there. I really enjoyed my time here, and I will definitely stay here again. read more

A lovely hotel in proximity to restaurants, a gas station, and easy highway access. The customer service was friendly, knowledges and quick to check us in. We got a double queen room. You could tell the hotel was renovated with a feel of transitional design. I spotted a touch of midcentury modern, contemporary, modern and a peek-a-boo of traditional. It was interesting. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well kept. It has a small pool, whorl pool, exercise facility and complimentary breakfast! I'd come back. read more

Hands down, Fairfield Inn & Suites is the best hotel in Kearney. Clean, new atmosphere, beds and pillows are super comfortable, nice gym to workout ‍, the pool is nice and has a jacuzzi. I needed to catch up on laundry and used the wash room. The washer and dryer are full size! Very clean hotel. Complementary breakfast is good too. Great service. read more

Spent one night while on a road trip. Check-in was simple and easy, went to my room. Standard Fairfield room layout, rooms were decent, the bed was bit soft for me, but wasn't an issue. Had a goodnight sleep and that's all that mattered. read more

Great hotel! I wish all the hotels we stay would be this nice. Clean and modern. Good breakfast. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. Nice fitness center. We definitely would stay here again. read more

Stayed here the night before the Great American Eclipse. Overall a really good stay. The layout of the lobby and ground floor area gives you the feeling of spaciousness that you find with nicer hotels. Overall things were clean. Loved that in the sitting area of the lobby they had games and books available. Morning breakfast was fine - lots of options and an attentive staff. They added an extra hour to their service because of the eclipse, which I think was appreciated by a lot of their customers. We headed out in the morning and noticed their parking lot was being set up as an eclipse viewing area in conjunction with the convention center next door. How fun! We'd stay there again if we needed a place in Kearney. read more

Spectacular. Quiet. Upgraded to presidential suite for free (granted, titanium member). Really next level hotel and suite, as the other reviewers suggest. Wish I'd had a chance to use the jetted tub but the multiple-shower-head shower was plenty good. Super clean, comfortable, accommodating. Just what the doctor ordered after my dog died. read more

Absolutely the most ridiculous and terrible hotel stay I have ever experienced. I travel quite a bit for work so I have stayed at multiple hotels and I have never experienced such rudeness as I have here. My Nintendo switch was stolen from our hotel room. I know it was stolen because I left it on the desk of the room and went out to the site to work. When I got back it was simply gone and the room was clean so I know it had to have been either the cleaning staff or other staff at the hotel. I have contacted the hotel over and over again via email and phone and they have refused to do anything about it. Do not stay here your items will be stolen you cannot trust this place. read more

Living in the country always has its challenges. This weekend our septic tank quit working. They will be out Monday, but it left us with no water or A/C. We checked into the Fairfield inn in Kearney Nebraska and we're immediately rated with smiles from a gentleman named Eric. He welcomed us to the hotel and asked us if we were having a good day. Probably a mistake knowing what had gone on earlier that day at our farm. He checked our reservations and informed us at the hotel was filled with a lot of teenagers but any kind of problems and he would be right on it. He told us to enjoy the stay and enjoy our room. Imagine our surprise when we came into our room and realized we've been upgraded from a standard room to a very nice room with a sitting area and a bedroom. What a lovely surprise and a fantastic thing for him to do. He was knowledgeable he gave us many suggestions for dinner and informed us of the full breakfast that we would be enjoying tomorrow morning. Although the hotel is local, I will encourage all my friends and family that come to visit to stay at the Fairfield inn read more

Not impressed. We stayed to build our Bonvoy points as we love the Marriots we have stayed in here and in Canada. The doors, I am sure for weather security are so heavy I, a horsewoman, had trouble opening and holding open. Got the luggage cart stuck in the doorway. No onsight restaurant, probably because so many great places across the street. Walls are thin. I think someone was bouncing a ball next door for about an hour this morning. Huge room. We got one of the last and it was handicap accessible. Door previously mentioned would be a challenge. Saw a sign "no dogs allowed on premesis" bit harsh, especially since so many of their high end hotels welcome dogs and even supply them beds and bowls. Not even a please, or an exception for service dogs. Will be rethinking Fairfield inns and Marriots in the future. Perhaps back to dog friendly Holiday Inn. Glad to see hotels filling up. Wonder what the drought stricken farmers think of all the water being used. read more

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling along I-80 in Nebraska. The staff was warm, friendly and welcoming; the common areas spacious and well decorated; and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Social distancing practices were in place for using the pool, whirlpool and gym, so I was comfortable using those amenities. There were numerous dining options within walking distance of the hotel. The grab and go breakfast was top notch and included a breakfast sandwich that could be warmed up in the room microwave, yogurt, fruit cup, muffin and bottle of chilled water. Overall a GREAT stay! Will certainly make this an overnight stop the next time we are traveling this area. read more

Excellent, excellent hotel. Quiet, clean, and every employee was so nice and helpful. The breakfast attendant this morning kept the whole area in tip top shape, refilling things and cleaning and even asking if I was finding everything I needed. I haven't had this level of customer service in years. I was just blown away. read more

I've stayed at this hotel twice now, and both times were great. It's a fairly new property (about 4 years old) and you can tell. The decor is nice both in the lobby and rooms. The rooms are huge! I might have been upgraded to a larger suite this last visit, so I'm not sure. The bathroom was spacious, there was a small bar area with a fridge and microwave, seating area with a couch, tv and desk, then bedroom with another tv and king bed. Everything was really clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Shower also had good pressure and the blow dryer was great (two things I always appreciate). Service was also outstanding. Both girls that checked me in and out were very friendly and accommodating (I asked for a room on the top floor, as well as copies, and both requests were done without hesitation). Overall a great property, and if you stay at Marriott's a lot like I do, you will not be disappointed. read more

Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. This property is doing it right! Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Very nice lobby and comp breakfast area. Our room was super clean with good amenities and nice decor. Very comfortable, nice hotel. We were woken up by a loud group of people in the hallway (not the hotel's fault). We waited several minutes and when the noise didn't die down we called the front desk and they took care of it immediately. We will definitely stay her on our next trip to Kearney. read more

Excellent and friendly service. Beautiful, clean, well designed, and quiet rooms. Our 18-month-old was able to sleep comfortably all night. (Our room was located on the top floor, towards the end of the hallway.) In the morning we enjoyed a well spread breakfast; as we ate, an employee was greeting and cleaning tables. We personally did not have time to enjoy the outside fire pit next to the pool and hot tub but many families appeared to be out enjoying themselves. Will recommend to all friends and family; we will be returning. read more

Great hotel, makes you feel like you arrived at a relative's home, happy to see you, willing to let you relax, no stress "moving in", great food (albeit a recommendation for take out), clean comfortable private room and an awesome breakfast in the morning! Joanne at the front desk is your relative! She is the best! To top this off, I just received a thank you note from the front desk staff, for my selection and stay! My stay was 7 days ago, very prompt and unexpected. I believe Roger Y is the manager. Kudos to you, Sir, for your leadership and obvious engagement with your team read more

The lady at the front desk was so rude that I cancel my reservation and went to a different hotel. I don't know what was going on but she was in some extremely foul mood and didn't even believe that I was the one who made the reservation when I was trying to check in she kept telling me that I was not me like I don't know who I am she wouldn't even look at my ID to let me check in for my own reservation. So they got fired and I went somewhere else. Guess they don't like earning money. Never had that problem at a hotel before. read more

words cannot even describe how terrible the service is. shitty food, shitty prices, shitty PEOPLE. I went out and got taco bell since the food was so bad and I put my leftovers in the fridge and when I got back later on that night some bitch ate it read more

Well this place was awesome. We had a sort of weird circumstance because we rented the room for 2 night so we could stay one night and then my sister and her husband could stay the other night. This hotel was SO NICE about all the concussion because at first I was a huge idiot and had the wrong nights. The person at the front desk was so nice and quickly fixed my huge mistake without making me feel dumb even though I was. I made the reservation online and there is a calender and they ask for confirmation before you hit submit but I STILL managed to mess it up. Then we kept changing who was gonna be at the hotel each night. The hotel just made a note in the system and everything went so smooth. They didn't even bar an eye when we showed up on the different days. The pool is AWESOME. Towels were provided, people asked if we were doing ok, room was really neat and comfortable. The free breakfast was so good. Lots of variety and nice hot eggs. We even are there before easter brunch because it looked so good. Coffee, cereal, juice, toast, Everything! Again the room was really nixe. I had a suite so there was a little sitting area off to the side. 2 tv's, DVD player, pull out bed in the couch and a wonderful view. I got a down free room on a higher level. The Marriott rewards is nice. I signed up and just started earning points. But their website you can make requests. Parking was great, location was right by a NEW steakhouse and a wine bar. They had free coffee all day and they sold good snacks at the front desk. I can't say enough about this hotel. It was great. An employee told my nephew to stop running on her freshly mopped floor when I wasn't looking. Then she apologized to me for saying something and I was like "don't ever apologize for telling a kid to behave". She was very nice to him, he needed to be told and I had 3 other kids getting snacks so it was my fault for not watching and his fault for running. She was very professional and kind. I was very impressed she said something. I was extremely grateful to her. read more

Stayed there about 2 months ago with my spouse for 3 nights while house hunting. Our shower was extremely dirty. I had to take a wash rag and disinfectant wipes to wipe down the shower before I would shower in it. It was covered in a thick tan slime. I did notify the front desk when checking out but all he told me was "I will notify housekeeping". That was it. I don't think the bath tub in the room we were given had been cleaned in a very long time. Very disappointed and we will not stay there again. read more

Lovely clean hotel, lobby, rooms, everything. Quiet and new. Rates aren't bad - just an easy place to stay. Steve is awesome. Do it.

On arrival tonight, two or more guests (younger - in late 20s-30s) were allowed to check in without masks. They were then waiting for the elevators without masks. I asked the staff - shared I'd been in many Marriott's this summer/last night and all were enforcing the rule- they said they couldn't enforce the mask rule/it is just a suggestion. That's not Marriott's policy. I expressed frustration. I'm traveling with my two 79 year old immune compromised parents - returning from treatment at Mayo Clinic and I picked this hotel chain because they have been maintaining covid rules. There were not nearly as many signs in this hotel reminding of the marriott requirement to wear masks. No signs at the elevators -for example or on the front door of building reminding folks they must wear masks. Here is Marriott's own language:" To promote the health and safety of our communities, face coverings are required for guests and associates in all indoor public areas in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America." This is September 2020- not March. Masks. Are. Critical! read more

We were traveling as a family of four westbound on a 16 hour one way road trip. We frequent hotels regularly for business trips. This hotel was a very satisfying and a wonderfully delightful surprise. Check-in staff: Friendly and welcoming no matter the hour. Efficient, pleasant and cared about their responses and your experience. Knowledgeable and worked to give you the best with extra effort. Housekeeping and breakfast staff: Amazing. In the hallway genuinely cordial, asked if there was anything you needed that they could assist you with for your stay with them. At breakfast asked if you needed more of any of the food items from the kitchen so you had enough fresh made on the buffet. Decor/size/atmosphere of the room: we had a suite (2 queens, 1 pull out sofa bed, 2 TV's) It was pleasantly decorated and fresh feeling, very clean. Large spacious bathroom (the biggest we have ever experienced), clean mini refrig and microwave. Beds were medium firm and plenty of pillows to go around. Room temperature was adjustable and AC kept the air smelling fresh. We didn't hear any other visitors in the other rooms even though the parking lot was mostly full. Nice large TV screens. Plenty of outlets throughout the room. Adjustable lighting over the beds. Complimentary Breakfast: Oatmeal with assorted toppings, yogurts, u-make waffles, assorted cereals, fresh fruit and variety of juices, toast, bagels with cream cheese, muffins, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy (August of 2014) all very well made and hot when it should be hot and cold when it needed to be cold. We stayed on the way west and made sure we stayed a second time on our way back to the east. Both stays were the same 5 star experience. In good conscience, this particular Marriott Inn and Suites should be a model by which other Marriott Inn and Suites should portray themselves after. Appreciated our stay and at a reasonable value. From Marriott website: "The four-story Fairfield Inn & Suites provides 105 non-smoking rooms that feature free Wi-Fi, 42-inch flat-panel LCD TVs, DVD players, microwaves, mini-fridges and coffeemakers. A complimentary breakfast buffet is served daily. Keep up with your exercise routine in the fitness room and enjoy a dip year-round in the indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel offers the added on-site convenience of a business center and a coin-operated guest laundry. Parking is free. Hotel Location The Fairfield Inn & Suites is off I-80, 60 miles north of the Kansas state line. Downtown Kearney, home of the Museum of Nebraska Art and the Merryman Performing Arts Center, is two miles away. The University of Nebraska's Kearney campus is five minutes away. The hotel is also within 10 minutes of the Meadowlark Hills Golf Course. Kearney Regional Airport is less than seven miles northeast. " read more
