I stayed here in December for a conference. The staff was very nice, the room clean, but.... the bed was horribly uncomfortable. I decided to leave a day early and called down to the desk at 6pm the night before to ask if someone would be at the front desk early (6-7am) for me to checkout early. They just replied yes. The problem, they charged me for the room because I didn't give them 24 hours notice I was leaving early. I was not told this when I called down and their website under info does not say this. I have left early from hotels many times, and this is the first time I've been charged for it. When I booked the room, they spend a lot of time explaining no early check in, but not one mention that they charge if you leave a day early and don't give them 24 hour notice. read more

Stayed one night for work. Really nice newer clean place. Nice to see the workout area with treadmills, elliptical, dumbbells and a bike. Breakfast was ok, typical stuff, eggs, waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy pastries and coffee. Would stay again for sure. Reasonable prices. read more

This is one of the most beautiful Comfort Inns I've been to. The facility is clean, popular, and the staff kind. They're still not serving breakfast while other hotels are. That's a little annoying especially for the price... but I'm sure it's corporate policy. The staff was apologetic. read more

Stayed here in a trip from Iowa to southern Colorado. Price was $130 after taxes and fees. Beds were good. Complimentary breakfast. Very basic. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, Yogurt, cereal, waffles, coffee. Front desk help was very welcoming and hospitable. The showers had good water pressure. My wife complained about hard water. Not a big deal for me. Good stay for the money. Nearby restaurants. Very convenient. read more

Just visiting Kearney for a conference, but the folks here made me feel quite at-home. Super-friendly/helpful staff that made local recommendations for eating and entertainment. The rooms were well-kept, nice and quiet, and their downstairs lobby was really welcoming with side seating area super cozy, and probably more so during winter months. The room smelled clean, fresh clean sheets and just an overall comfortable place to sleep in! The continental breakfast was good as well.

Clean and beautiful. The beds are not soft but not too firm. Quiet on wed night. I searched the room, under the bed, mattress, etc and all places cleared. The room is clean! The price is a bit higher than average for this area but a clean bed it's worth the extra $40. read more

Large comfortable room with six pillows on the king bed, a whirlpool tub in the bath and a comfortable seating area with a sofa an ottoman and an armchair. Throw in a decent desk and a 42" color television and I'm all set. The entire place seems relatively new or at the very least remodeled. Air conditioner was powerful and felt great to be at 65* after 98* all day. Full hot breakfast included scrambled eggs , sausage, biscuits, gravy, made to order waffles, cold cereals, assorted breads to toast, bagels and juices. Best place to stay in Kearney???? read more

Friendly staff that go out of their way to be nice. Rooms are excellent and the bathrooms are spacious. Overall I was really impressed with everything. Will definitely stay at these again. So glad We chose this hotel! Registration was quick and easy and the clerk was knowledgeable and friendly! The room was clean and well stocked beds were comfortable! I stayed at the comfort inn on 11-7-18. The woman at the desk when I arrived was very nice. The next morning when I went to take a shower, is where the problem occurred. When I turn the water on, the tap came completely off. I had to basically take a bath in order to get ready. When I We not to check out, I mentioned it to the young man at the desk. His response was like he had a practiced answer. "Oh sorry, Hope you have a nice day". I even showed him the picture. Hotel is only a few months old. This shouldn't happen. How does it not get checked before hand? I wasn't expecting a big response, but I was expecting more than I got. His customer service skills really were lacking. It's as if there was no script, so he had no idea how to feel. Not sure I will go back for that very reason of poor customer service. read more

Comfort Inn Kearney I-80 - Hotels Near Me - Kearney, Nebraska

We stayed here last week when our car was hit by a deer on I-80, just west of Kearney. I called in advance, so they weren't surprised when we were dropped off by a big tow truck! The staff that night and the next day were so gracious. We had to wait an extra day for a rental car and they were able to accomodate us for the extra night. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was the usual Comfort Inn breakfast, but the breakfast area was pretty big compared to other Choice Hotels we have visited. We enjoyed the large "family room" just off the lobby. We expect to be back in Kearney again soon, and plan to stay at this Comfort Inn again. I hope I have the names correct, Maddy, Alexis, and Seth - all front desk people - were very gracious and sympathetic to our situation. Thank you all! read more

This place was absolutely incredible!!! Clean room, clean bathroom, GREAT WIFI!! Also had a full breakfast the next morning, and all for under $100 (I think it came to $95-and some change if I remember correctly). So, a great clean room with great WIFI @ a great price. 5 stars???? Hmmm I don't think so. First of all the rooms smell like cigarette smoke. The first one was bad so we asked for a different room and that one did too. We are pretty laid back people but my daughter has asthma and the front desk person insisted that they aren't smoking rooms. Regardless, by room #3 we decided to just open the windows and put on the fan. The other complaint is that I left my iPhone charger in the room, asked the front desk to hold it for me and we would come back for it. We were in the highway and it took awhile to get back but when we came back to the front desk no one knew where it was nor did they have my phone number to call and say they didn't have it. What a waste of $$ and time this hotel is. I should only give it 1 star but the breakfast people are nice. Don't go here!!! read more

I'm a little disappointed with some things. I work for choice rewards hotels so I know exactly what to expect in the rooms. I booked early and when I booked I chose a king bed room. We check in and get to our room and it's two queens. A little disappointing when you ask for something and you get something different. Then I go into the bathroom and the toilet paper was torn like the people that cleaned it ignored the toilet paper and left the torn toilet paper from the previous guests. Overall I am very pleased with the room and the hotel. The front desk was very nice and the modern look is very nice. I would definitely stay here again. read more

What a pleasant place to stop on a road trip. The hotel was very clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Every member of staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and truly treated us as guests - not just customers. There was a nice variety of items on the breakfast buffet. I love this place! I was recently passing through Nebraska a week ago Sunday when an ice storm hit. The closest town was Kearney so pulling off I-80 there were several choices of lodging. I chose Comfort Inn for no real reason and boy was I glad I did. Okay....it was a fast check in...they all kind of have that now...and I went to my room. It was clean, had a million towels, fridge, microwave, and a nice size TV to watch the playoffs (football). They had them on the TV in the common area too. No big deal, I watched TV, went out for dinner, hardly any place was open with the ice, went back to my room, netflixed on my phone (their wifi is fast) and slept. I loved their breakfast the next morning with the usual sweet rolls, cereal, waffles, etc. The cool thing were the omelets (scrambled eggs the next day) and sausage. Well everything was ice outside, all the restaurants were closed etc. so I decided to stay another day. Around 12:15 the hotel asked if I would like something to eat. This was very nice and I had a ham sandwich with chips etc. The hotel has a workout room, pool, and all the usuals so what makes them stand out? CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Everyone I met for the 2 days made eye contact, smiled, and said hello. Everyone. Maid staff too. Kudos to their staff for doing it right. read more

Well lit parking lot, fast friendly check in, $79.99 discounted from $109.99 made it a very good value, breakfast buffet at 6am very good with biscuits and gravy. Just a little noise from other patrons. Pillow smelled dusty.
