Really wanted to go with 3 stars. But, there are a lot of restaurants close, just a walk outside. My room, had a noisy fridge, that I finally had to unplug. The window shade was stuck and would not close all the way for lights out. And, the show was about 1/2 the pressure cause the tub lever wouldn't fully close. I am only giving 2 stars because the place was nice and clean. If you want a good night's sleep however, I would not recommend staying here. I've been to many hotels, and the beds here were the absolute worst. They were the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept on in a hotel. They were rock hard and lumpy and I laid awake all night listening to the traffic on I-80 because the walls are so paper thin. The breakfast was also disappointing. This place is WAY overpriced for the experience. I told the front desk how uncomfortable the bed was and she informed me, without apology, that "most" people like the beds. read more

My hotel preference when traveling is Hilton properties, which includes Hampton. It's a breeze to check in and pick your room number on their app, and you can use your phone as your digital room key. My room was spotless, with an easy-to-control thermostat. The bed was comfy and the shower and bathroom were clean. I stayed on the second floor and it was very quiet. As a female who often travels alone for work, I never felt unsafe at this hotel. There are beverages and snacks for purchase in the lobby. Your stay includes a complimentary hot breakfast buffet. I only grabbed yogurt and coffee due to being short on time, but all the food I saw looked good. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area. read more

Hotel was great! Room was clean and well kept. Hotel was last remodeled 4 years ago but looked brand new. Wasn't able to take advantage of the pool or workout room but when leaving in the morning, went to gym to fill up water bottles and notices they had a peloton!! Only negative was our tubs drain was clogged, so we had to keep turning off the shower to allow the tub to drain. read more

Hilton/Hampton hotels are my go to when traveling, and this hotel was on point with the company standards. I-80 closed as I was traveling across the country from Maine to Oregon, and I was essentially stuck here for 2 days. The front desk staff were all INCREDIBLE! Kind, understanding and accommodating when I walked in at 6am in need of a room. Laundry services were helpful, the pool and hot tub were great, and the gym was more than substantial. There are a few decent restaurants within walking distance (the burger spot next door was delicious). Breakfast was better than average for hotel grub. read more

As a Diamond member of Hilton Honors, I clearly love their properties but this place is amazing. I'm not sure if it is but it looks new, maybe it was renovated, and was a really comfortable home away from home while I was on tour this season. Beautiful lobby. The front desk was friendly. Clean room and bathroom. Bed comfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory. I would've loved to give this hotel 5 stars. What really concerned me was the extensive water damage I witnessed on our bathroom ceiling (room 227). There was a long stain (2 ft) above the shower that looked like it was painted over, but the stain seeped through. The other was above the toilet, about the same size. I let front desk know when we checked out. Hopefully repair will be done and not just a paint over. read more

Overall great experience. Pool was nice temp, my kids played for 3 hours down there. Only two small issues, #1, the toilet flush had VERY low pressure, so little that my 4 y/o clogged it and we had to have someone come up, still didnt flush well. #2, our phone in the room rang once and stopped like 4 times in the middle of the night before we finally took the cord off. I'm in town on a week long job assignment at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital and was very lucky to get a room here at the Hampton Inn. This week is Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island and most of the local hotels are booked. This hotel is a beautiful property with great service, comfortable rooms, and great breakfast which is free. This property and neighboring hotels and businesses all suffered major damage on 7/9/2019 due to the big flood that hit South Kearney. I stayed here for work when I was in Kearney. The facility is pretty nice and the location from where I had to work was good distance. I'd have to say the room was spacious and the bed was nice and comfy. It was clean and quiet. There's two well known restaurants that's just adjacent to the hotel. The Angus Burgers &Shake and Coppermill. Both were good places to eat. Remember to get the Angus Farmer when your there. read more

I don't usually rate hotels unless they are fabulous or really bad. I have to say, I've stayed in Kearney before and it's full of the run of the mill chains. You get what you pay for kind of thing. Candlewood is where I usually stay but they were booked and this is one of wow sister locations right behind Candlewood, so I gave it a try. It's not a 5-star Four Seasons, but this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at while in in Kearney. I will return to this hotel every trip, so I thought I would take the time to give it some hype. Very clean. It looks new. Service desk was great. Masks required in the lobby. The room is spacious and updated and clean. Lobby and dining area are open and nice with a TV. There was social distancing reminders and all employees are wearing masks. With the pandemic, their buffet breakfast is not open, but they have breakfast in a bag to go. Checkin process was great and the two agents at the front desk were very courteous. He asked me if I had a preferred room and I said "a quiet one." So he put me on the top 4th floor. There are at least two places to eat adjacent to the parking lot that are very good. There's a mini fridge and microwave. This may not be the cheapest in town, but the value is certainly worth the rate. read more

We had a very nice stay here. Quite, clean, renovated. Nice people, good service, comfortable beds, dogs welcome. They have a hot breakfast, but disappointing. There is a sign that says to ask about dietary restrictions, but they don't cater to them. All the egg dishes had cheese...no gluten free bread, no soy/almond/or oat milk (no non diary milk). No gluten-free bread. Fruit was older, it should definitely be the last day the bananas are out. Lots of brown spots. Suggest one egg dish be without cheese (they had two, both with cheese), and some gluten free bread for toast (they had normal bread, bagels, pastries, waffles, cereal....all with gluten. It wouldn't hurt them to put one gluten free selection out. And/or one diary free selection. Just something for the healthier eaters (or those with dietary restrictions) in the crowd (I know I am not the only healthy traveler) and super super close to bad fruit (May already have been bad, but I am cutting slack), doesn't cut it. If they don't have something healthy, I'd like to opt out of breakfast and have the value of it (in my opinion not much, but still), credited to my stay. Have plenty of parking. Easy location to get to off the highway. Would stay here again but hope they improve the breakfast. read more

The air conditioning in our room was not kind to a good nights sleep for us. We had the temperature set down to 66 and still experienced a warm room then then cold. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns around the country and not encounter this issue. Decided last minute to take a trip here and check out the sights around Kearney, NE. Being a Hilton Honors member, we of course chose this place. The Good: The hotel is very clean, and he staff is friendly. They seem to take all the precautions for the Covid stuff going on The Bad: Sadly we were not greeted and welcomed as Hilton Honors Members and did not get our complimentary refreshment. This may not be a big deal to some, yet the Hilton family of brands is proud of heir members and I am proud to be a Hilton member for many years now. So certain things that you really appreciate and enjoy make the welcome a bit disappointing when you are not appreciated to be there as much and wonder if you should try a different brand at some point. The other issue was that the outdoor gas fireplace was out of propane... Ok now you think I'm a total crazy guy for complaining about that but hear me out. I spoke to the gentleman at the front desk, asking for another propane bottle to exchange. He did not have and and said they are unable to get another one due to staffing shortage. Perfect I said, comp my room and I'll get one and pay for it out of pocket. He laughed and said for sure we'll do that. So I did my deed and we enjoyed our evening on the terrace by the fire. He helped to make sure the new bottle worked and we had the fire. He was very nice about everything and thanked me for helping out. Upon checkout I asked about the comp or anything equivalent they had done. She said she doesn't see anything and since we paid with points it would be hard to do anything. Since she was unable to get the manager up front, and we had to leave; she assured me to take care of it and call me with any questions or problems. No call, no email, and no response at all from the hotel staff - yes we were charged for our whole stay - don't offer to comp or things similar to those and just ignore the next day as if nothing happened leaving me wonder why they changed their mind The Ugly Truth: We love staying at any and all Hilton Brand hotels!!! You should yourself become a Honors member, get yourself and Amex cars and rack up the points for free stays. 99% of our experience with the Hilton Brand is absolutely amazing and wonderful. It is just circumstances like these that make you wonder where things fell apart. Back the this hotel - we would definitely come back here as it was a very clean, newer hotel with a nice fitness area, smaller pool, and beautiful terrace to enjoy your evening. We stayed in this Hampton Inn for a night only a week or two after it had opened. The hotel is located across the street from the old Hampton Inn and is very close to I-80. As you walk-in, the hotel looks nothing like a typical Hampton Inn. The design looks more like a W hotel...lots of different colors and designs in the paint and wallpaper. The room locks are different...you touch the door card to the lock instead of inserting it into the lock. We had a room with 2 queens...the room was big and comfy. The shower was a small tub shower, but overall a nice room and a great night's sleep. I used the gym the next morning. The gym has a full set of dumbbells (up to 50lb), and 3 or 4 machines: two treadmills, a stationary bike, and an elliptical. You can see the pool area from the gym: an indoor pool and big hottub. This was an impressive gym for a small hotel. The hotel had a nice breakfast area, and the food was hot and good. The food area had standard Hampton Inn food items and even some fresh cut fruit. The front desk was friendly and helpful. No problems. Many different conference rooms are available, and I believe this hotel may book quickly as nice as it is. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. read more

Room was not quiet--didn't sleep well even with earplugs--it sounded like a dryer was going all night. I got a weird vibe from The customer service desk Upon check in and I could not shake it. Not professional--it really bugged me. He was all over the place and didn't seem to know what he was doing. Get your act together and be respectful to everyone! Paid 135 which is on the high end of what we prefer to pay for a roadside stay but appreciate the new build out and memory foam mattress. Hotel was quiet but still had the loud door closures prevalent in all hotels. Rooms also had microwave and fridge to go with a big screen tv. Standard HI bathrooms with roomy showers. Again the beds. So comfy and with very soft memory foam and not featuring paper thin pillows older than I am, but something on the softer and fluffy side. Breakfast until 10 am with a full slew of continental options both hot and cold. We had fresh scrambled eggs and bacon. All staff was great and we interacted with front desk cleaning and food preparation staff at various times throughout the stay. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel especially for those who value soft bedding. Nice and roomy common area with games and books available. Great spot for family gatherings. read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL THEY STOLE MY MONEY OUT OF MY DEBIT CARD! I stayed at this hotel with my girl friend who worked there, which meant that she gets a discount from them. I decided to pay for the night as a nice gesture. The total for the night was $40. When we checked in I payed a deposit of $42, an additional $40 when we checked out. When we left I checked my bank account and they made a third transaction of $229 a minute after I walked out of the hotel!!!!!! They did not tell me anything about this at the front desk, I called the hotel and asked to speak with the manager and he responded in a very disrespectful tone when I was just trying to know why they charged me that amount (which anyone would be upset about this). He did not want to respond to my questions AND HUNG UP THE PHONE INSTEAD!! I'm currently in the process of making a dispute for a hotel chargeback but this is totally unacceptable! read more

The staff were all very friendly. The pool was AMAZING, and my kids had a blast playing in it! We couldn't believe how big it was! Our room was great!
