Let's start here: I wanted to love Fyr & Ice. The name sounds fiery and cool -- like the kind of place where flavor meets flair. Instead, it felt like the kitchen and the dining room were in a long-term relationship that's stopped communicating. We began with the crispy tofu, which sounded promising -- I pictured something light, golden, and seasoned with purpose. What arrived was tofu on life support. Over-battered, under-seasoned, and fried like it had wronged somebody. I kept waiting for flavor to show up, but it must've taken the night off. Now the chili sauce the tofu was served with was very tasty, it was just that there was so little of it. Not enough to make up for the overpowering batter on the tofu. Then came my kimchee ramen -- a dish that started strong with that first bite of warm broth and tangy kick. But then, plot twist: the kimchee was cold, sitting inside the soup like it refused to participate. The beef had been cooked so long it could survive a hurricane, and the egg... well, let's just say it had passed "soft-boiled" about three minutes ago. My wife, however, lucked out with the udon and shrimp tempura -- nicely done, well-balanced, and clearly made by someone who still believes in flavor. Now, the atmosphere deserves its own mention. The main dining area has all the warmth of a tech startup break room -- clean but cold, not exactly cozy. Then there's the back room, which looks like someone's garage got repurposed into a hangout spot. There's a miniature pool table, an even smaller ping pong setup, and a couch that feels like it was borrowed from your cousin's first apartment. It's quirky, sure, but also kind of confusing -- like they couldn't decide if they were a restaurant, a boba lounge, or a college dorm common room. So yeah, three stars -- because Fyr & Ice isn't bad, it's just having an identity crisis. It used to be so much better and could be again if someone decides to care again. With a little care and a lot more seasoning, this place could go from "meh" to "must-try." Oh this poor place. It must have been adorable in its heyday, but it just looks run down and sad. I went there for their waffle and ice cream, but they did not have any. Just none of it on the menu was available. I asked when they might be getting it back in stock but they did not know. I really wish they had disclaimed that somewhere on their website or Facebook page or anything before driving out there. The food was obviously pre-made and warmed up, but it was not warmed up enough. It was all still very cold. The prices were luckily still very cheap, but I think it still was a reflection of you get what you pay for. It was completely dead on a Thursday prime dinnertime. Went after dinner for some milk tea cravings and what we got was delicious. Very good. Service was quick since no one was in there but it was also kinda late and I think it was just the owners. Place needs some love. It's a bit confusing about what it wants to be. Inside, a very large open space which might have had tables at one point but is now basically a waiting area for people standing only. A large costs $5.50 and if you want no ice that's an extra dollar, and if you want boba that's an extra $0.75. so before you even taste it it's $8 after tax. No option to do half sugar. The tea was one of the worst I've ever had. It tastes like over-watered tea with a little milk. Bubbles were a little chewy, but tasted of a weird slightly overburned sugar flavor, and were very inconsistent. Especially for what it cost, this was terrible. I was totally craving Ramen and I've always seen this place and they have a lot of reviews so I decided to give them a try. When I walked in there was barely anyone there so service was pretty fast I had the pork miso Ramen and the fried octopus balls. Was kind of hesitant to order the pork Ramen to be honest with you because I'm not a big pork eater, but it was actually very good especially when I added some Sriracha to it. As for the fried octopus balls, they were gooey inside and they were not for me so I Told person at the front counter and they were able to exchange it for something else for the same value price. I end up getting the pork dumplings which were so good. I took those home to go and I mix it with some of my sweet chili sauce that I bought from Walmart and it was just bussing. Picked up two passion fruit boba teas tonight. They are open till 10pm on Sundays when most boba places are closed. They are $5.50 here. Somewhat pricey for what it is, because we make it at home at times we know what goes into it.... However, cheaper than the farmers market by far where two were just shy of $20! There is parking available in the plaza that is usually easy and available. Well lit area. There food is tasty too, however tonight we didn't order food. This place inside is pretty cool they even have a little party area it look like to play games chill on the couch. The people working they need to have a little more energy and be talkative. Definitely one of my go to favorites in Broward County because of the variety of menu options. From a few tapas, ramen soup options, bubble tea and bubble waffles with ice cream. It's terrible to choose one or the other and sometimes end up trying everything. The wallpaper I find interesting and pretty cool as it adds character to the seating area. Came for a late dinner on a Saturday. I ordered for pick up and everything went pretty smoothly. I ordered 2 tonkatsu ramen and requested one of the broth to be spicy. Also ordered fish ball kebab and pork bao buns.I tried to order the baby octopus kebabs but they didn't have any. The tonkatsu broth was very flavorful we really enjoyed it. The "spicy" wasn't really spicy so we had to add hot sauce to it. It did seemed to lack toppings you have to pay extra to add corn and extra toppings. The fish balls were a bit char and didn't taste fresh. And the pork bao bun were good but I wish they made it with the chashu pork instead of whatever type pork was used. I need to highlight the most important reason for the low stars. I went months ago, and I asked the woman at the register if she received the credit tips (the screen prompts you to tip) she said no, the owners take it for themselves. they do get the cash tips so TIP CASH!! dont let business owners steal from young employees -- so unethical and wrong. The takoyaki and ramen however, were absolutely amazing. They bring your food to you and clean up after you (another reason to tip well). The place is very very dim inside and has a lot of loud decoration, so it's definitely more of a casual spot than anything. Everything was well priced and its located near a lot of other spots I'd like to try. Again -- it is not right to steal tips from the people who actually earned them. The food was delicious but no matter how delicious the food might be it does not warrant that and no 5 star business does something like this. Upon walking in, I expected a more formal setting but it reminded me of a more hole-in-the wall type of place. I know people rave out about the ramen here but I wasn't impressed. I got the mushroom ramen with tofu and it was good but not anything to rave about. The fyrball on the other hand though was DELISH! Super soft on the inside. Dissapointing! Unfortunately, the entire meal was tasteless: Ramen- the broth has no flavor, it taste like it's been watered down, had very little protein. Yakitori- Ordered beef and pork, the texture of the meats was cuestionable, it really felt chewy, and poor quality. I could not tell the pork from the beef. Buns and tacos: the same meat was used for both so i did not really like it as the texture was off, and again, I could not tell the beef from the pork- which is a huge red flag. I actually regret consuming those pork/beef dishes. I think everything must have been microwaved. The only thing I enjoyed was the dessert. The blue cookie monster ice cream was surprisingly tasty. Something is off at this restaurant, there is a negative vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff seems to not be happy to work there, they seem a bit mechanic and not friendly. Very weird as they seem young, you would expect young people to be energetic, happy, friendly. The restaurant is awkwardly quiet, there is no background music, all you hear is the boba tea machine running in the background. The takoyaki and taiyaki were solid, but the chicken karage was basically chicken katsu with the wrong sauce/no rice and the sweet potato fries were soggy and uncooked. I'm sad I didn't try this place sooner! I've driven past it so many times and today we finally went. We had the Shoyu Chicken Ramen, Spicy Kimchi Beef Ramen, the Honey Wings, and finished with the Egg Waffle Sunday. Holt crap, everything was so freaking good. The honey sauce on the wings was sticky but in the best way possible and didn't at all take away from the crunch. They were perfect! The kimchi in my ramen.. delicious! Hubby also enjoyed his chicken ramen. The waffle Sunday was bomb too. Ramen Tonkotsu Pork - flavorless broth with a hint of weird taste. Steak street tacos - huge tortilla with little meat and they were served cold. Busti Baos buns - ordered steak and pork. Buns were ok. I did not like the sauces, beef/pork flavor and texture was odd. Yakitori pork, shrimp and steak - very low quality meats - weird texture and tasted like Chinese buffet meats. Shrimps were overcooked. For dessert the egg waffle with cookie monster ice cream - was the only thing I enjoyed. The blue ice cream will stain you mouth blue. It was fun to eat it. I will definitely NoT recommend coming to this place. I won't come back. I hate writing negative reviews, it means I wasted my time, effort, and money. To be honest, my cousin and I had bad experience here. We wanted to grab dessert after dinner and the reviews and pictures here sold us into coming. Walking in, we had no idea whether to order at the counter because nobody was there or sit and wait for somebody. Once we stood in line at the register, there was a group that just walked around us and ordered insisting they were before us. Okay cool? After the cashier apologized, we ordered a taro slush bubble tea (free large upgrade with yelp check in) and two egg waffles with ice cream. They told us to have a seat at any table and that they would bring our order out to us. The bubble tea was terrible. It tasted chalky and overly and artificially sweet. The tapioca pearls were overcooked because they were like rocks and inedible. One of the staffers came over and we told him why we didn't like the drink and he just responded with "oh" and walked away. After a few minutes, he brought out the egg waffles with a scoop of ice cream each. I chose red bean ice cream and my cousin chose the blue cookie monster ice cream. The waffles were the highlight because they were perfectly made and served fresh and warm. I love hot and cold combination desserts and while the waffles were good, the ice cream was disappointing. The red bean scoop had no red bean flavor and I think the cookie monster is just for the 'gram with is blue color. I just left disappointed with our visit, but they have a huge menu of unique snacks and dishes. Although this isn't really my style of eating, I was very impressed with Fyr & Ice. It's an Asian street food style of restaurant. The krab Rangoon were fantastic, flavor was awesome and perfectly cooked. We also had pan fried pork dumplings which were excellent, the sauce was very good for those. The Ramen was the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Although it was good, it wasn't great. I've had far better Ramen in other places. That being said, everything can't be perfect here. We also had wings, which I got the spicy, and they really are spicy! They tasted like they had a strong siracha flavor to them, which I don't mind I like siracha. But for those who don't like something with a serious heat, don't get them. The street tacos were excellent as well. Overall this is a must try if you are in the neighborhood. I love takoyaki balls and the presentation of this was very disappointing. You have to have the bonito flakes... the taste was underwhelming. Mostly just bland flour throughout with a piece of octopus inside and a couple pieces of green onion. The ramen is good to mediocre. The meat is a bit tough. Noodles are al dente. Nothing too special but good if you just want to have some casual ramen. The egg waffle is subtlely sweet. It's nice to snack on but I suggest a different oil because it leaves a tiny bitter aftertaste. I came to F&I because I craved some decent ramen. They have a spacious seating area where you don't feel too cramped and somewhat cheesy cartoons plastered on the wall. We ordered the following; Tonkatsu Ramen - 4/5 - ramen was just soft enough and the chasu and toppings were well done. I like my broth a little richer, but it was still good. Pork gyoza - 3/5 - ok, they tasted like the ones I could make out of a bag Fyr balls (takoyaki) - 4/5 - liked these even though they were slightly over fried. The middle was still soft and the sauce was nice. Taro bubble tea - 3/5 - pretty standard bubble tea. The bobas were slightly hard which makes me think they were sitting for a while. Extra $0.50 for boba. CHECK IN for a free large upgrade. bubble egg with "Cookie Monster" ice cream - the bubble egg ice cream is what saved this place from a 3 Star. I've had bubble egg once in Houston, but wasn't impressed. The Cookie Monster ice cream came out blue! (It will stain your teeth) and with two pocky and a mini-Oreo. The best part was the waffle as it had that egg flavor with a crispy outside. Totally with the $8! And it was easy to eat because they put it on a plate vs. a cup. It's quite spacious inside and has a back section tucked away. The staff was very nice. It takes about 10 minutes from the time you ordered for them to deliver the masterpiece they build. I chose red bean ice cream to top the egg waffle. It comes with these slightly weird mint flavors marshmallows on top and white chocolate swirls for decor. You can also opt for sprinkles, peanuts, powder sugar and m&ms. The red bean is semi sweet and paired very well with the crispy, crunchy waffle. It was just enough of a portion to share but I really wanted to keep it all to myself. I highly recommend it to everyone who has a sweet tooth and craving a refreshing new dessert! read more

Shoutout to Julie for doing a UYE here. There were about 14-15 of us. We ordered at the counter and waited for them to deliver the food. I got my food pretty fast but it was chaotic; got my noodles before my bao buns which were my appetizers. The place is pretty big and open; love their decor. I ordered the chicken bao buns; definitely my favorite of the night. It was so flavorful! I also ordered the spicy beef kimchi ramen which were alright; it was a little flavorless given that it's spicy kimchi flavor. The portions were huge though, I couldn't finish it which was very unlike me. (I got a big appetite). I ordered a light Japanese beer which was okay. I was too full but the boba teas and waffle ice creams looked amazing. I will have to come back for that! We had a great time hanging out and eating! I'll definitely be back!
