This Fuzzy's Taco Shop location is unfortunately pretty mediocre compared to others. The food almost always comes out nearly cold, which is disappointing because I know how good Fuzzy's can be at different locations. There's usually hardly anyone there, so it's not a crowd or rush issue, the overall vibe is just weird. I don't really blame the front-line staff as much as I do the management or ownership, because the inconsistency feels like it comes from higher up. I still stop in every now and then when I'm driving by, mostly hoping it'll be better this time, since other Fuzzy's locations are genuinely solid. They stood there staring at me, but didn't say anything until about 2 minutes of me standing there waiting to order even though they weren't busy and there was no one behind me. I am new to Texas , and Fuzzys back home in Colorado was one of my favorite places to go. Always got good food, amazing drinks, the staff was always attentive and nice and i can confidently say the same about this location. While i couldn't stay for drinks, im sure they slap just like home :) I have had a hard time adjusting to Texas life as a lotttt of people are not kind . And some of those experiences have been from restaurant staff at other places . So it's refreshing to see Fuzzys doing good in Texas . Keep up the good work and thanks for amazing food! So, I tried their nachos & it sounded so good on the menu; aesthetically. However, at first bite I was disappointed. It's the same water cheese they serve with the chips and queso appetizer. Not a tench of garlic was detected in the sauce and/or other toppings. The seasoned beef was the protein I selected and it was very underwhelming. I don't understand the low reviews for this Fuzzy's location considering this is one of the better ones I've been to! We went in during the lunch service and even with only one girl working the ordering counter, to include the take out orders in the separate line, we were moved through to order in a reasonable amount of time. Our order was also ready in a reasonable amount of time and the portions were more than we expected based on experiences at other locations. My husband got the Smothered Carnitas Burrito and it was huge and he said the taste was amazing! I ordered my usual - two taco plate with the tempura shrimp California heat tacos with cilantro lime rice and refried beans. The shrimp was definitely done in a traditional fried batter rather than a tempura batter but still very delicious and the sauce was amazing. For being a counter ordering restaurant I was impressed that an employee (maybe manager) was still going around to tables and making sure the customers were satisfied with their orders. My knowledge of Fuzzy's Taco goes as far as lunch being brought in by reps for the office every now and then. It is usually a build your own tacos event and was tasty but nothing spectacular that made me want to visit the restaurant. Also, I'm actually not a big fan of the chips either. I know, gasp! So when I heard they were building a new location in Lake Worth, I didn't exactly jump for joy at the prospect of a new addition to our lunch rotation. It wasn't until maybe 7 months later that I actually found myself there for an office birthday lunch. And that's when I began my relationship with Fuzzy's. It's a casual counter service type of establishment. You order and pay at the counter where you're given a buzzer to notify you when you can go up to the kitchen counter to pick up your food. There you will also get your own silverware and condiments. Soda and tea drinks are self serve and there's a bar for your adult beverages. I've only been in during lunch and while they are definitely busy, we usually get in and out of there fairly quickly. Service has never been a problem for me. I don't expect much from this kind of establishment but find everyone here to be friendly enough. There is a young man that comes by and takes our trays and plates away. He is always pleasant and definitely worth mentioning. As for the food, I'm usually there for the tacos but they also serve breakfast all day, burritos, quesadillas, salads, and nachos. The Baja tacos are loaded with lettuce which I don't mind too much. There is a good amount of meat so it's actually quite filling. My favorite is the spicy pork and brisket, which I generally don't like in tacos. I find other places serve shredded brisket tacos that are too stringy but not here. And you're not doing it right if you don't get it with the garlic sauce! The nachos are tasty but huge. Too huge. So much that I don't get it anymore, because I cannot finish it and leftover nachos is no bueno. I tried their chilaquiles during lunch on my last visit and it was delicious! I love breakfast food and can eat it any time. The Latin potatoes are my favorite side item. It's cooked with onions and flavored nicely. I come here often for lunch now and look forward to future visits. I even came here for National Taco Day for their $1 tacos. That was an adventure, but they handled the crowd well. We waited over 5 minutes for anyone to even come to the front to take our order and they came as we were about to leave the establishment. We ordered our tacos and it was $18 for 4 breakfast tacos that were the size of a granola bar. Not to mention our whole order was wrong. I have a dairy allergy and every taco we ordered came with cheese on it when we didn't ask for it for a reason. The AC was leaking all over the floors in different spots making puddles. Besides my cold enchiladas and my husbands stale chips with his nacho plate the music was completely inappropriate.. we are in our late 30's and definitely can listen to our fair share of loud music but the lyrics of what was playing and how loud it was will detour us from eating at this location again . Where to start.... Floor is slick and greasy, especially at the entrance. Tables, floors and seats are dirty. The 3 teenagers stood at cashier area and never moved until I told them their tables are dirty-then one of the girls wiped off 1 table and went back to visiting. How does Fuzzy's work? Order at the counter. Receive a buzzer. Pick a seat to sit down. Once the buzzer goes off, take it to the kitchen counter. Place the buzzer in the designated buzzer spot (looks like a metal rack). Take your tray(s) of food back to your chosen spot of sit. Once you're done and ready to exit the building, throw away your trash in the garbage can. Place your basket, silverware, and/or plate in and around the trash bins. Don't worry, you'll see where they go. A bit more... Okay, prices are cheap. The staff is friendly. The restaurant itself is relatively clean and parking is convenient. So, why only 2 out of 5 stars?! Here's why: I simply don't like the food. and I REALLY don't like the fountain drinks. It's very forgettable and definitely nothing I'm going to crave. read more

I would personally never go back there based on my experience. I came in there to order two avocados, tacos and no one was at the register. I went over to where the cooks were and I asked If they can bring someone to the register so that I could order. I'm only bringing up race to show you what I experienced. There was an Hispanic guy there that practically ignored me. When he finally came to the register A white lady came in to pick up her food. I was there first he ignored me and immediately started helping her. There were no apologies from either parties. I looked at them both and totally discussed and walked out never to return. I wondered why there were no black people in there at all. I will not say this was the organization's fault. We moved to Lake Worth a year ago and were happy to see there was a Fuzzy's close by. Unfortunately, we just haven't had good experiences there. The bartenders are nice but service is usually slow. Sometimes, we get to listen to intra-employee drama which isn't too bad, but when I leave work, I don't want to hear about yours. Tonight, we walked in and were greeted with "we don't have cold glasses for beer." Oh well, after probably ten times at bat, I think we're done trying. The other Fuzzy's around town are great - try them. Portion sizes are terrible. Seems like almost every time I go in the people at the counter or in kitchen have an attitude. Pay extra to add meat, guac, avocado, etc and you get minuscule portions. We paid extra for avocado and kid you not it was a sliver as thick as a quarter. Ridiculous. We add extra meat to nearly everything and even with two servings it is still less than other places.
