Fuzzy's Taco Shop - Cold meal. Worthless - Mexican Near Me - Decatur, Texas

Stumbled into Fuzzy's for the $1.70 Taco Tuesday and I must say- it's not worth it. I got four tacos. Total a mix of beef, chicken and shrimp. I would recommend sticking with the ground beef taco as that's worth $1.70, but the other tacos are an absolute mess especially the shrimp- that was yuck. Feeling disappointment with the tacos I got a house, margarita, and although it tasted watered down, it was fine for a light midday beverage. I will give a the deals another try, maybe the Thursday nachos + happy hour, to see if that's a good meal deal, but I would not recommend the tacos again. I've been in several Fuzzys around TX and this is the first one that has video arcades/ one of those claw grab games. It doesn't take away from the restaurant, but it is one of those things to be mindful of if you're traveling with children as they're sure to want to play and these extra money grabs add up. There is indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating with parking around the adorable town Square. read more

Food and service was good, however a week later I saw were my cc info was used to make a charge, despite the fact I wasn't there. Had to be an inside job, in other words one of their employees is a thief and a fraudster. Won't ever go back read more

The restaurant at first glance is beautiful. 20 minutes in line with 4 people in front of us. 40 minutes to get food. The food was good but the appetizers are a waist of money. I had no expectations walking in and some how was let down. The staff is rude. I only eat local I don't eat chain restaurants and I will assure I will give my business to another small business but it won't be this one. read more

Dirty tables, floors, bathrooms, patio. No one was cleaning. All employees were either grumpy or just plain rude when approached (bartender) another employee at the bar was just sitting on the counter yacking to a friend/employee. Great service. Kyla was great! Good food, fast service. Nice ambience! Will come back again

We haven't been to Fuzzys in forever! We grabbed a great dinner after my sons basketball game in Decatur. We had tacos both shrimp and shredded chicken, the shredded chicken nachos, shredded chicken salad, shrimp and a cheese enchilada platter and even more tacos. ALL our food was fresh, hot when served and so yummy! COVID not heavily enforced here but very safe. Will definitely be back at this location. Such a chill and relaxing environment and amazing food with great prices! read more

Big car show downtown so we went to Fuzzy's for dinner. Been there a few times and food was usually good but service was so-so, it has only gotten worse. Counter guy that took the order was dirty, nothing to indicate he worked there, strong body odor emanated from him. Took five minutes just to take the order. Had to go back twice to get items missing and once to tell them they forgot to cook the quesadilla, the tortilla was still sitting on the counter. Burrito was ice cold inside, potatoes on the fajitas were cold, queso cheese was cold, thick and nasty. They completely forgot the churro bits that came with the three kids meals, then said they were put when we asked about them. The only good thing was the beer; ice cold and hood. I spent $88 for a dinner that no one liked, I learned my lesson, Fuzxys is off my list. read more

We visited today and with our food we ordered two drinks. We went to the bar to get the drinks but there was no bartender. After about 10 minutes I asked the cashier and she said someone would be right there. After another 10 minutes another customer, who was there before us, went behind the bar and started making drinks! Finally someone came to make drinks, but she wasn't the bartender. When the actual bartender emerged from the back, he looked like he just woke up from a nap. He then stood behind the bar vaping. read more

Completely disappointed. Cashiers carelessly stare at you standing without help and continue talking to one another. Never got our appetizers until the 3rd time i went to ask, then told "appetizers come out with your food" (thought the point of an appetizer was before a meal) after 25 minutes of waiting we finally revive our food. Beef fajitas were cold, absolutely no flavor, and had a horrible taste. Ordered the chicken fajita nachos, both queso and chicken was cold to the touch. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Surprised this establishment is still running. read more

Let me start with I'm a huge fan of Fuzzy's. Food is always great!! Tonight was not the Decatur Fuzzy's shining moment. Granted I came in 25 min till close, which I try not to do but be assured the little curly darker haired girl taking my order made sure I knew they closed in 20 min. I did make the comment "do you close at 9:39 pm or 10:00pm?" She 10:00 but let me know not to sit there talking while I ate because they hate that people do that! Then at 9:58 pm some girl wearing a sports bra and daisy dukes walks in through the exit door and she starts helping clean the bar area but seems to be pissed off about it, I assumed due to her cussing! The bar girl is closing her register while vaping. Being in the medical field I have to rush to eat at odd hours. I left the place at 10:02. I usually love this place but not sure what the hell was going on tonight! read more

Ordered 4 Mahi Taco's, quite possibly the worst I've eaten. Garnish was old, fish was super dry and the corn tortillas were stale. Pretty tasteless. Definitely the bottom on the list, of all the other Fuzzys, we've tried. read more

I set up catering with this company for a new business meeting with 35 people, And they no showed. The catering was supposed to occur at 11:45 AM and I was notified at 12:11 PM that they were unable to deliver the food. Wow. I loved the service we received from Emily at the Decatur location. She was really on the ball and did a great job of helping us with our dine-in and take-out orders. She got everything right and we got the correct food. To be honest, we hadn't eaten at any of the Fuzzy's locations in a long time after a couple of not so great experiences at the Argyle, Roanoke, and Denton locations back to back. We happened to be in Decatur on the square and tried to go to Rooster's first, but left there in search of food and adult beverages. (Reviewing them next. Be sure to check out my review.) We were totally surprised at how great the food was. I don't know if it's just this location that has raised the bar and improved the food and service , but they really hit a home run for us. The beer was cold, the chips were light and crispy, the salsa fresh, and the shrimp tacos were amazing. We also had a brisket taco each and they were perfect as well. (Seriously. It's tacos and this is Texas so how hard can it be? Apparently it is, because we have been disappointed with greasy and soggy tacos at other places, but the staff at this Fuzzy's nailed it.) So maybe you've never been a fan of Fuzzy's, or like us once were but are no longer fans ... take a chance and give this location a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. In fact, ask for Emily and tell we said she was awesome. read more

Great service and attitude from the awesome bartender/server Blanca!! Definitely will be back!

I have eaten at Fuzzy's locations all over the Metroplex, and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and service. This Fuzzy's location was an astounding disappointment. The service was especially bad. The kitchen staff screwed up our order in multiple ways, and when we asked about incorrect and missing items, were met with rudeness and indifference. The food was hardly edible. The meat and sides were lukewarm, and not the quality I have come to expect from Fuzzy's I absolutely would not recommend this place unless you want to experience subpar food and incredibly rude service. read more

Emily could try smiling! No greeting at the counter, just a blank stare. Perhaps a "Welcome to Fuzzy's Tacos! How can I help you?" , would be nice. Attitude doesn't make customers feel welcome. Ordered two tacos and the chips and queso. Queso & chips were very good! The vegetable taco was good. It would have been better had the tortillas been warmed up. Both were cold which made the tacos less than superb. Not from here but wouldn't return based on today's experience. read more

My new favorite bartender!!! Her name was Blanca, and she was on fire behind the bar. Shes able to mix up some seriously delicious drinks. Not only that, but she had this amazing ability to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of. She was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. It was clear that she genuinely enjoyed her job and she creates a memorable experience for her customers. If you're looking for a top-notch bartender who knows how to make your night unforgettable, Blanca is the one to go to. Cheers to a fantastic night out! read more

I was in Decatur the other day and made a stop to Fuzzy's Taco Shop on the square. This is a great location! Easy parking, historic view of the beautiful Wise County courthouses and unique local shops, friendly staff and good neighborly customers. I am a creature of habit at FTS, I go for the classic SHREDDED BRISKET BURRITO (a flour tortilla piled high with pulled brisket, guacamole, cheese, tomatoes, onions, garlic sauce, and beans), an order of the tasty LATIN FRIED POTATOES (diced potatoes cooked with onions and seasoned with special Fuzzy Dust). Pair this with a drink and I'm as happy as puppy with a new chew toy However no Fuzzy experience would be complete without SOPAPILLA CHIPS to finish off the meal. How does a business say it's open at 10am then you call and nobody answers they finally answer 10 min later and say they just walked through the door. And the kitchen is nowhere near ready so orders can't be placed. There's always problems at this location. read more

Went at about 1:30 pm, not busy at all, maybe 3-4 tables with people. Ordered our food, went to sit down tables were dirty. The ones that were clean smelled like old, musty mop water. Partner and I ordered two taco plates with rice & black beans...nothing complicated. After 35 mins our order was ready. My fajita steak taco was dried out and tough. Rice was old and parts were crunchy from sitting so long. When we went to leave the dish/trash area was overrun with plates and hadn't been bussed in awhile. For a chain restaurant this place is dirty and ran poorly. Wouldn't recommend read more

My wife told me I wouldn't like it and man was she right. First off it took a long while to get our food after ordering. When we did get it the food was bland and barely better than room temperature. Chips were cold and looked like bagged chips. I will say the lime rice was pretty good but that was about it. I was excited for the food when I arrived but was very disappointed when I received it. We actually gave the food away and went to another establishment to have our meal. read more

We visited Fuzzy's yesterday and did not have a good experience. Our party was on two tickets, ordered back to back. Ticket number one took about 20-25 minutes to arrive. Ticket number two... never arrived. They were moderately busy, but it was a Saturday night. I suspect that staffing and the Joe Biden free money for the non-working was a factor. Yet, even for the food that was served... it wasn't overly good. The chips were stale. The beans tasted canned. The nachos were served cold and left uneaten. It took at least 20 minutes to get my money back for order two. The manager didn't know how to use the cash register. Additionally, the marg WW did get was only mediocre. I will not be back. read more

Zero stars. Cold food. Slow orders. Crappy flavor. Hard rice. Don't waste your time or money.

Turning into my favorite Tex-AmEx restaurant. Tacos are spectacular and queso on point. The whole family enjoys this place!

Would have been 3 stars but for the puddle of urine in the men's room. I have a lot of suggestions: quest needs flavor, fuzzy dust is too salty and harsh, fish tacos are mostly fried bread crumbles, and the grilled veggie has nothing grilled in it and very little veggie. Keep driving. read more

Fuzzy's Taco Shop - The grilled veggie is really just shredded steamed carrots. Beware. - Mexican Near Me - Decatur, Texas

I was not impressed. The place was run down and filthy. Whoever owns this one must not care. Tables were being held up by a load of now filthy napkins. The bathroom looked like...well... disgusting. Then there was trash everywhere on the patio. The fish and shrimp on my tacos was cold. I am pretty sure they weren't fully cooked, as the fish was still chewy. I will update if I get sick. Just go somewhere else. FYI... the steak joint on the opposite corner had a line of people waiting to get in. I guess I should have waited there too, The town was cute though. I would come back to the town. read more

1:08 pm order placed. 1 party in front of us in line, maybe 4 people. 5 of us, we didn't order anything unusual. Restaurant was maybe 60-70% full. 2:15 pm the food emerges. Missing 2 items. I mean...I'm not tryin to be a pushy dude. I asked the kitchen lady at 1:55 if maybe they lost our order or something. Reasonable? I got snapped at and told it was 5 more minutes. It was 20 more, but whatever. This place was clearly understaffed or undertrained or something. I don't know how many people you need back there to make a taco in under an hour. They had what looked like 4 peeps in the kitchen. She said they were really busy - at just over half full and no one in line. Im wondering if maybe this business of to go orders and food delivery is part of the problem. It didn't look like it, but I wasn't watching super closely. Anyway, the food was ok. Nothing special. The wait was atrocious, and you either need to pack your patience or order lunch at 10 am. read more

Yep, its a Fuzzy's! If you like Fuzzy's, you'll LOVE this location. Why? #1: Its huge compared to most Fuzzy's. #2: Its empty compared to most Fuzzy's (note you're virtually in the middle of no-where. Decatur's claim to fame is a filming of Prison Break in which Prison Break pretended to be in Kansas instead of actually in Decatur, TX. This means quicker-than-usual service. #2b: If you order beef, chances are you passed a cow on the way to Fuzzy's who's mother is now inside your tortilla. #3: Holy crap they get my order right!! 1 out of 2 Fuzzy's gets it wrong (yeah, seriously), and I have to take it back. All I do is cut the garlic sauce on the tacos, I mean come on is it really that custom that half the time its wrong? #4: They have alcohol! Like real alcohol. If you live/work anywhere near Decatur you realize what a treat this is. And since 80% of the lawyers in Wise County are within 1 block of Fuzzy's on the Square, that tells me that #1 I should be a lawyer with an office on the Decatur Square and #2 Don't hire a lawyer that works on the Decatur Square next time! This is a nice, BIG Fuzzy's on the town square. We ate there twice while in town...and at a local Tex-Mex place. We might have a problem =/ So we ate here for breakfast one morning and then for dinner another day. For breakfast I got the chilaquiles. Delicious! It came with rice and potatoes. I kind of made little tacos with pieces of tortilla and then layered all the goodness with beans and salsa. Very good and very filling. So much food that I couldn't even finish half of it. I want to say that all of it was maybe $7? My husband got a trio of breakfast tacos, all of which were very good. Tons of food for little money = success. The two employees at the counter were super nice and professional. The restaurant is big and spacious. They have a great outdoor patio area in the front of the store. I love that they are in the town square in an old building. For dinner the other night my husband and I both had a variety of breakfast tacos. Both times we started with chips and salsa. As you pick up your food from the window, if you want your chips and salsa ahead of your food you need to go wait at the window. Otherwise it will all come out at the same time. Boo. read more
