Stumbled into Fuzzy's for the $1.70 Taco Tuesday and I must say- it's not worth it. I got four tacos. Total a mix of beef, chicken and shrimp. I would recommend sticking with the ground beef taco as that's worth $1.70, but the other tacos are an absolute mess especially the shrimp- that was yuck. Feeling disappointment with the tacos I got a house, margarita, and although it tasted watered down, it was fine for a light midday beverage. I will give a the deals another try, maybe the Thursday nachos + happy hour, to see if that's a good meal deal, but I would not recommend the tacos again. I've been in several Fuzzys around TX and this is the first one that has video arcades/ one of those claw grab games. It doesn't take away from the restaurant, but it is one of those things to be mindful of if you're traveling with children as they're sure to want to play and these extra money grabs add up. We haven't been to Fuzzys in forever! We grabbed a great dinner after my sons basketball game in Decatur. We had tacos both shrimp and shredded chicken, the shredded chicken nachos, shredded chicken salad, shrimp and a cheese enchilada platter and even more tacos. ALL our food was fresh, hot when served and so yummy! COVID not heavily enforced here but very safe. Will definitely be back at this location. We visited today and with our food we ordered two drinks. We went to the bar to get the drinks but there was no bartender. After about 10 minutes I asked the cashier and she said someone would be right there. After another 10 minutes another customer, who was there before us, went behind the bar and started making drinks! Finally someone came to make drinks, but she wasn't the bartender. Counter guy that took the order was dirty, nothing to indicate he worked there, strong body odor emanated from him. Took five minutes just to take the order. Had to go back twice to get items missing and once to tell them they forgot to cook the quesadilla, the tortilla was still sitting on the counter. Burrito was ice cold inside, potatoes on the fajitas were cold, queso cheese was cold, thick and nasty. They completely forgot the churro bits that came with the three kids meals, then said they were put when we asked about them. The only good thing was the beer; ice cold and hood. Never got our appetizers until the 3rd time i went to ask, then told "appetizers come out with your food" (thought the point of an appetizer was before a meal) after 25 minutes of waiting we finally revive our food. Let me start with I'm a huge fan of Fuzzy's. Food is always great!! Tonight was not the Decatur Fuzzy's shining moment. Granted I came in 25 min till close, which I try not to do but be assured the little curly darker haired girl taking my order made sure I knew they closed in 20 min. I did make the comment "do you close at 9:39 pm or 10:00pm?" She 10:00 but let me know not to sit there talking while I ate because they hate that people do that! Then at 9:58 pm some girl wearing a sports bra and daisy dukes walks in through the exit door and she starts helping clean the bar area but seems to be pissed off about it, I assumed due to her cussing! The bar girl is closing her register while vaping. Being in the medical field I have to rush to eat at odd hours. I left the place at 10:02. Wow. I loved the service we received from Emily at the Decatur location. She was really on the ball and did a great job of helping us with our dine-in and take-out orders. She got everything right and we got the correct food. To be honest, we hadn't eaten at any of the Fuzzy's locations in a long time after a couple of not so great experiences at the Argyle, Roanoke, and Denton locations back to back. We happened to be in Decatur on the square and tried to go to Rooster's first, but left there in search of food and adult beverages. (Reviewing them next. Be sure to check out my review.) We were totally surprised at how great the food was. I don't know if it's just this location that has raised the bar and improved the food and service , but they really hit a home run for us. The beer was cold, the chips were light and crispy, the salsa fresh, and the shrimp tacos were amazing. We also had a brisket taco each and they were perfect as well. (Seriously. It's tacos and this is Texas so how hard can it be? Apparently it is, because we have been disappointed with greasy and soggy tacos at other places, but the staff at this Fuzzy's nailed it.) So maybe you've never been a fan of Fuzzy's, or like us once were but are no longer fans ... take a chance and give this location a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I set up catering with this company for a new business meeting with 35 people, And they no showed. The catering was supposed to occur at 11:45 AM and I was notified at 12:11 PM that they were unable to deliver the food. Needless to say I lost my business due to not being able to get time with my providers due to the cancellation of my event. It's extremely unprofessional to Cancel a catering service 26 minutes after the scheduled delivery time. I have eaten at Fuzzy's locations all over the Metroplex, and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and service. This Fuzzy's location was an astounding disappointment. The service was especially bad. The kitchen staff screwed up our order in multiple ways, and when we asked about incorrect and missing items, were met with rudeness and indifference. Easy parking, historic view of the beautiful Wise County courthouses and unique local shops, friendly staff and good neighborly customers. I am a creature of habit at FTS, I go for the classic SHREDDED BRISKET BURRITO (a flour tortilla piled high with pulled brisket, guacamole, cheese, tomatoes, onions, garlic sauce, and beans), an order of the tasty LATIN FRIED POTATOES (diced potatoes cooked with onions and seasoned with special Fuzzy Dust). Pair this with a drink and I'm as happy as puppy with a new chew toy However no Fuzzy experience would be complete without SOPAPILLA CHIPS to finish off the meal. Went at about 1:30 pm, not busy at all, maybe 3-4 tables with people. Ordered our food, went to sit down tables were dirty. The ones that were clean smelled like old, musty mop water. Partner and I ordered two taco plates with rice & black beans...nothing complicated. After 35 mins our order was ready. My fajita steak taco was dried out and tough. Rice was old and parts were crunchy from sitting so long. When we went to leave the dish/trash area was overrun with plates and hadn't been bussed in awhile. Ticket number two... never arrived. They were moderately busy, but it was a Saturday night. I suspect that staffing and the Joe Biden free money for the non-working was a factor. Yep, its a Fuzzy's! If you like Fuzzy's, you'll LOVE this location. Why? #1: Its huge compared to most Fuzzy's. #2: Its empty compared to most Fuzzy's (note you're virtually in the middle of no-where. Decatur's claim to fame is a filming of Prison Break in which Prison Break pretended to be in Kansas instead of actually in Decatur, TX. This means quicker-than-usual service. #2b: If you order beef, chances are you passed a cow on the way to Fuzzy's who's mother is now inside your tortilla. #3: Holy crap they get my order right!! 1 out of 2 Fuzzy's gets it wrong (yeah, seriously), and I have to take it back. All I do is cut the garlic sauce on the tacos, I mean come on is it really that custom that half the time its wrong? #4: They have alcohol! Like real alcohol. If you live/work anywhere near Decatur you realize what a treat this is. And since 80% of the lawyers in Wise County are within 1 block of Fuzzy's on the Square, that tells me that #1 I should be a lawyer with an office on the Decatur Square and #2 Don't hire a lawyer that works on the Decatur Square next time! This is a nice, BIG Fuzzy's on the town square. We ate there twice while in town...and at a local Tex-Mex place. We might have a problem =/ So we ate here for breakfast one morning and then for dinner another day. For breakfast I got the chilaquiles. Delicious! It came with rice and potatoes. I kind of made little tacos with pieces of tortilla and then layered all the goodness with beans and salsa. Very good and very filling. So much food that I couldn't even finish half of it. I want to say that all of it was maybe $7? My husband got a trio of breakfast tacos, all of which were very good. Tons of food for little money = success. The two employees at the counter were super nice and professional. The restaurant is big and spacious. They have a great outdoor patio area in the front of the store. I love that they are in the town square in an old building. For dinner the other night my husband and I both had a variety of breakfast tacos. Both times we started with chips and salsa. As you pick up your food from the window, if you want your chips and salsa ahead of your food you need to go wait at the window. Otherwise it will all come out at the same time. Boo. read more
