Swung in here for a quick bite while visiting my family in Fort Worth. All items were delicious. We had a variety of fixins all of which exceeded expectations. Think Taco Bell, but I would say better. Taco Casa is a flourishing chain in Texas; hopefully, they'll expand their operation to Lafayette , would go over well I believe. My first time trying Taco Casa and it was interesting. I went through the drive thru around 9pm with one car ahead of me. After placing my order at the thing I waited... and waited. The wait was kind of long considering the car ahead didn't really order that much but there were quite a bit of customers inside so that's okay. Overall the service was good. I ordered the Super Nachos with peppers and was confused when I was handed a bag with two boxes in it, and when I asked if it was just the nachos the employee confirmed. Okidoki, home I go. To my surprise the super nachos don't come assembled but rather everything is separate, explaining the two boxes. Although I noticed that I never recieved any peppers in my order. Overall an okay experience but I'd rather have nachos put together but I understand they wouldn't want the chips to get soggy. read more

Love Taco Casa, but this location is whack. I waited over 15 minutes for 1 bean burrito.

Ordered $35+ of food and forget to order jalapeños. Went back to the counter and was told there was a fee, which is fine but then I couldn't actually buy them because they don't take card under a certain dollar amount. I'm left without what I want without any attempt at resolution. Employee couldn't have cared less. read more

Stopped thru the drive-thru... just wanted a large Coke... I pull up and handed a medium cup... "your total is $2.32."... wait, what??? I asked for a large. The clerk proceeds to tell me that the "new" large drink is now actually the "old" medium drink but you are being charged as a large though the cup is medium.... So you mean to tell that I am getting a smaller cup but still being charged for the bigger cup??? She walked away and brought another clerk, assuming this was the manager on duty. This clerk proceeds to tell me that this was a "Corporate Office" decision... the "new" large is the "old" medium and the "old" medium does not exist anymore... just Kiddie, Small and Large. So I ask her why is the menu not reflecting this change... you still show Kiddie, Small, Medium AND Large... she blankly stared at me, took a deep breath and said "It's a Corporate Office decision.". So I kindly asked for a refund because apparently I didn't warrant any traction in getting a medium Coke for a medium price. She hands me a receipt and says it's taken care of. I drive off, since there was a vehicle behind me, and notice that the receipt she gave me was a reprint, NOT A REFUND!!! I park and go inside. Again, she walks to the register and tells me it's taken care of, yet NO REFUND RECEIPT!!! I have sent their "Corporate Office" a formal complaint but I doubt any response because I know they are not going to admit to the menu mistake, creating a classic Bait-n-Switch... you have lost a loyal customer. The food is always made fresh. The restaurant is clean and condiments well stocked. The staff are helpful, friendly, and prompt with customer service. It's great value for the money. The cup lids were recently changed and will sometimes come off when you pick up your drink, but that's a corporate problem. The staff is always willing to go above and beyond in customer service. The General Manager is top notch and stands behind his workers like a good manager should. It's a good place to stop & eat. Edit: FYI for the people who say they don't tell you about the 2.8% surcharge for using a card, it's been posted on menu board, drive thru window and at front counter for past 3 years so the only way to Not know about it is to not be able to read. Also, That's a corporate policy, not the franchise owner's, and Taco Casa is Not the only place doing it whether the other places tell you about it or not. read more

We make weekly trips to this location in Rhome to feed our family of 5. We usually get one of the 12 packs of burritos or tacos, and split them up between plain or mild, crunchy or soft. The quality is consistent with what you would expect from Taco Casa, which means lots of refried beans on the burritos and tons of cheese on everything! We occasionally get the 2/$5 Chiladas on Fridays, and they are delicious! We've been to this location dozens of times since they opened, and rarely have a bad experience. This is a good location with friendly service and tasty food. read more

This is the absolute worst Taco Casa. I was pretty excited to learn about the new franchise location in my home area but it has let me down time and time again. I have visited this store at many different hours and days of the week and am disappointed every time. The food is either cold, prepared incorrectly, I mean how hard is it to make a taco. This is the worst Taco Casa I have been in. I went in to purchase dinner last night. As we approached the counter, the cashier asked whether it is for dine in or take out. My response was take out. Then, I asked what do they have for family package? The cashier asked one of his colleagues and her response was, we do not have family deals however, you can get 6 tacos and 6 burritos for $17.00 and that is special #3. My response was I don't want burritos . I am only interested in tacos. Her response was then you must but it individually at $1.69 each. So I order 8 tacos. Then , I asked if they still have their tea on special at gallons for $5.00 the cashier then said no. All we have is for $3.49 per gallon. So I went ahead and place my order to include 3 orders of Super Nachos. While this food us being prepared we were standing by at the handicapped table across the register. Minutes later this server called my name to hand our orders. It was prepared for dine in do I simply told her oh, it was for take out. Her facial expression changed from looking upset to furious. Then she look at her colleagues to advise it is for take out. They all state at me as if I was causing a problem. Then , she took the food back to put in a container for take out. First, these people need to remember that paying customers keep them employed. Second, they work in a hospitality industry to where great customer service is a must! Third, your facial expression, tone of your voice and body language says it all. Basically , what I am saying is if you are having a bad day, you must take a deep breath and relax. People/ employee like you ruin a good business. Then she handed over the bags and it's messy! This attitude and service us unacceptable! I can understand you to be stress if you have a line if people ordering. Your restaurant only had 2 tables dining in and a car at the drive through. they make the food fresh, they make their meat and beans fresh and the employees are usually always nice and energetic. the restaurant is almost always tidy and stocked. i love the old taco bell vibes and the selection they have is different. sometimes i feel it's way better than taco bell. i've heard complaints about the surcharge on the card which is a corporate thing but they have it on the menu and so many other places do the same thing and don't tell you so i'm not understanding that too much but anyway. i personally love that the super nachos come separate when ordered in the drive thru because nothing gets soggy but if i don't want to build it then you just ask them to spread it out and they do it. considering it's off a freeway and gets lots of customers from town or travelers, i'd say my service has still been good. having worked in customer service i have realistic expectations and if i see that the drive thru has a long line and/or they have the lobby packed then i take that into consideration regardless of what i ordered and i give grace. i highly recommend coming here. read more

This taco casa is good considering it's fast food. The restaurant is clean unlike the Rhome Dairy Queen that's further on down the road. The staff is friendly and the food comes out fairly fast compared to other fast food restaurants ( Like the Dairy Queen where I waited 10 minutes for a drink that I watched a rude employee drop my cup on the floor and then fill it up instead of getting me a new cup ) The only things I would like to see change is the price of the tea and the fee for paying with cards. I liked when the tea was only a 1$ for any size. I also think it's ridiculous to charge a customer who's already paying for food, a fee for buying their food with a card. This place goes through people like nothing. I got sick here once eating a bad burrito. When the cheese looked bad I should have stopped eating it. And now today I got my order and they forget too give me stuff in the past and when I received my food and was making sure they got my order correct, the man at the window got irritated with me I guess for not trusting him too get my order right and yelled at me if I needed something too pull back around again because they want too get to the person behind me. I told him I was checking my order and left. I called the manager and she sounded like she didn't really care. She Sounded like a 16 yr old and told me, she was right there when he said that and that is normal how he talks and she said he has been there for 2 weeks. So, I then asked to speak with the general manager and it sounded like he just said some stuff too calm me down and sounded like he really did not care as well. One of the worst taco casa locations i have ever been to. I am signed up for the area wide texts and received a text for a new years special and decided to give it a shot. This location is the closest to my home and with the weather being cold and icy i didn't want to take my family further than necessary. We drove all the way there , during bussiness hours and when we got to the restaurant, there was only one employee who was locking up. When we asked her what was going on she told us that they were closed because the roads were bad and it wasn't fair to the employees. I agree, the road conditions were bad, the parking lot and side walk were awful, solid ice. But she was very rude about it and they could at least have sent out a message that they were closing some of the locations early.
