I knew there were kind humans in this world but to find one that grooms my fuzzy baby, was a blessing! Jason interacted with me from the time I requested an appointment until he was 30 minutes from my home. When I saw the mobile spa it was impeccable, not only on the inside but on the outside. Jason welcomed Valentine & I and remembered that I had concerns about her not taking medication to calm her. Turns out she was a smitten kitten in his care. If I could give this groomer 0 stars I would. I 'm mortified and have never written a yelp review until now, but feel like I have to as I was completely duped by seemingly good reviews on here. How the owner cut my dog was atrocious!! Our previous groomer moved so I decided to give Fuzzy Friends a try. The price for a 6lb Yorkie groom is $85(more than I pay for my own haircut and almost double the price of most groomers in FTL). I opted to pay more thinking we'd be in good hands...couldn't have been more wrong!! Before he took her he kept saying "The first groom is always the hardest"...which I found weird, to say the least, since a pup cut for a yorkie is a fairly common groom. The first picture is what I asked for and how our previous groomer had cut her, the others are how she came back. I'm shocked that this guy has a business grooming dogs!! Her chest was bare in spots and her face and body completely uneven! His response was "we'll do better next time". I am not a professional and had to re cut her hair in order to even out this mess. And as someone who owns a business am shocked he doesn't take more pride in his work. If you're looking to give your dog an over priced bath- this is you guy! Showed me the mobile van and setup before taking my pup in - clean, great equipment and the groomer/owner was very nice. Wow, Jason does a great job! Our Australian Shepherd is extremely afraid of well, everything. Jason does such a great job and normally arrives on time. I'll sacrifice an extra half an hour as long as my dog is treated like a princess. Fuzzy Friends is also super convenient since they pull up right to your house and do the work right there. I'm very select about my groomers cause I've had BAD experiences in the past. My miniature poodle tends to get a lot of matting in his fur (puddle jumper) but I've had Jason of Fuzzy Friends come twice to straighten him out and he's been great. My pup was only in the van for about an hour --max. That's important to me because I don't want him sitting in a cage for four hours like he might have to at a salon. The cut came out good--he groomed him just the way I asked--including shaving (not plucking) his sensitive ears. Usually Happy comes back from the groomers shaking his head from agitated ears--but not this time! He will also give you a money off the groom if you donate pet food through him to the local animal shelter. Very cool. Mobile grooming is totally the way to go if you have an anxious dog--or if you're just an anxious owner who worries about him sitting in a cage for several unnecessary hours! read more
