I told her I don't like shiny nails and she proceeded to buff my nails with some concoction that she applied to my nails and buffed away. I was serviced as soon as I walked in. I was only getting a pedicure. Not sure her name but I sat in the 1st pedicure chair and she asked me 5 times if I wanted gel. I told her no each time. She then went on to tell me that everyone does it and that if I don't it's going to take 30mins for my toes to dry. I sat quietly because at this point I'm annoyed. She decided to start rushing. I received three different types of service at the Futuristic Nails salon from Cindy. She did my nails, eyebrows, and lashes. It went DOWNHILL with the results of the lashes because I noticed after a week that this was a botched job (my first time installing lashes). It resulted into ripping my natural lashes in chunks. She unprofessionally installed them and was reckless with the type of glue used and the amount applied. My lashes had clusters of glue which also penetrated my skin (heavy and painful). I returned to the salon respectfully to inquire about Cindy's license because there is no way she was licensed to perform such services (pure greed). They refused to provide valid proof that she was licensed to install lashes, and lied about her being licensed to do every service provided at the salon. I have a right to know as the service she performed was damaging. The male manager didn't like that I requested a refund and requested to speak with the owner, so he called the police on me to flip the circumstances to portray that I stole services from them removing the lashes after THEY OFFERED FREE REMOVAL of the lashes because they were installed poorly (damage control failure). Really?! You need to call the police on a black woman who is requesting a refund and to speak with the owner. I am not sure if he thought that was supposed to scare me but I was highly offended. I spoke with the police to explain the circumstances and they supported the idea of reporting this incident to the city. They had the nerve to provide false information to the police to create escalation (INSANE). Cindy didn't even bother to apologize and dismissed the issue because she could careless. They refuse to give me a refund and provide me with the owner's contact information. You must be careful with this salon as they are unprofessional and simply con artists. They perform services under unsanitary conditions and I had to address that during my service. They need to be investigated. Honestly not worth sacrificing your HEALTH or time. This place really needs to be properly cleaned. I have witnessed what looks like mildew in the foot baths and their air vents need to be cleaned. It is not properly ventilated either. When you walk in you can immediately smell the strong scent of nail polish. They really need to improve these conditions. It's really sad because they are in a convenient location, but I would rather travel 10 miles if it means getting better. Being a last minute thing and the only open nail salon on Christmas day in the area, my mother and I went to get pedicures. I've never felt so rushed and forced in my life. Everything that came out Coco's mouth was a question about an add on. I know it's their job but at least be through with the cleaning in the first place so that the add on will be a pleasure to get. Tools are not sterilized. Foot tubs are not properly cleaned. The place is unsightly. Filthy, filthy, filthy. Came for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Pedicure came out nicely, although not in the shape I want. Gel manicure? Horrendous mess. Gel polish clumped towards the front of my nail. I suggested individual nail soak for previous gel set, the technician used a drill to file off the gel. Which can be proper technique if done correctly, she did not. Left with paper thin nails and when asked to correct I was told to come back later. Will never again return here and never recommend anyone else come here. read more

Beware of this salon!!!! I regret not saving the lashes to show the true extent of damage but they put entirely too much glue . I lost 3/4 of my natural lashes and no one seemed to care in the salon. When brought to their attention they simple chuckled and said "yea,too much glue". That being said I also got a swollen eyelid because of it.
