A year and a half in San Antonio and after so many "no, not today" I finally gave in to trying Fusion Food for a necessary Sunday Brunch and YOWZA, what a scrumptious SURPRISE. You'd think that this is a smaller restaurant if you were just passing the plaza, but you'd be just as wrong as I was. This place is spacious and you could bring your entire khandaan and still find a place to sit comfortably. This was a S U N D A Y brunch and the price reflected that. At around $18 per person, there were a few vegetarian dishes and a LOT of meat dishes -- which means I actually got my money's worth. Nihari, Paya, Chicken Karahi, Chole, Halwa, Beef biryani were some of the name worthy ones. They also had puris & naan made to order. The meats were tender and I felt like I was sitting in a Dhaba fam style in Pakistan. It was just TOO GOOD. I also absolutely fell in love with the decor which included monuments of must see places in Pakistan. The women who were working were also quite pleasant and asked us a few times whether we needed anything. For newbies, I'd recommend calling in and asking what dishes are in their daily buffet (from 11-3pm). I hope to visit again when I'm craving a variety of dishes that taste like "ammi's cooking". Oooo, they also have a menu for hours outside of the buffet. I look forward to trying pizza next time InshaAllah.

This is a large place that would be good for groups. We got her close to open so it wasn't busy yet. They were setup for a weekend buffet which my group of 4 wasn't into so we asked to order off the menu. We ordered burgers and loaded fries. The loaded fries were awesome. It was like eating a pizza off fries. The burgers were good as well. Heavy on the pepper, not something i mind but worth mentioning. They had a great crust giving it a nice bite. We washed it down with some stellar tea. Downsides were the salad one of us ordered. Not so great. Also it took a while, a long while for the food to get to us. The service was minimal but polite. Would i come back if i was in the area? You bet!

While cleaning out this week, I found a San Antonio unused gift card we bought from Costco and decided to use it. We thought to try @fusionfoodsa which was Pakistani/Indian restaurant in the Fredericksburg North plaza. They had a buffet for about $17. My husband and I did the buffet since we can eat some spicy food. We ordered Butter Chicken and Samosas for Dad for the non-spicy option. My husband and I both had the Mango Lassi. For the thumbs up, the food with the buffet was very good. Not sure what all the names of the dishes were. There was tendon that was very tender. Might have been goat. The Mango Delight dessert was yummy and Mohammed said it was ok for Dad to have some even though he didn't get the buffet. The thumbs down part is that they didn't end up having the Samosas which we found out 30 minutes later and the Butter Chicken came out as we were done eating. Mixed review really. Can't tell you if the chicken was good or not since we took it home. If it says anything about authenticity though, we were the only non-Pakistani/Indian patron there.

Try this place for a fusion. Burperiod took a long time to receive it and the place was kind of emperiod. A little on the chargbut decent flavor period the hostess was very friendly and there was a lot of seating.. I don't think burgers is one of their specialties. But I hear the buffet. Is good I may have to try that the next time.

We stopped by here after 6 flags and cannot recommend it enough!! My husband tried the buffet which had a great variety but did not sacrifice quality. They had beef biryani, chicken boti, chili chicken and chicken fried rice. He especially loved the chicken karahi. My friend got the veggie pizza while I got the supreme, the portion size was huge, not greasy and had flavorful toppings. It was great to be able to have halal beef sausage among other meat toppings. The ambience was great, not noisy and a great place to relax after a tiring day. The customer service was the highlight, they're super kind, attentive and Faisal even let us try the Falooda shots with homemade ice creams! We got the mango, pistachio and rose and would come back just for that!

Honestly I'm not sure what some of the negative reviews are on about. This has to be some of the best Pakistani food I've had in Texas! Everything about the food feels so authentic and comes out really fresh. Not pictured is the haleem and nihari that was also amazing! Anytime we crave Pakistani food or have family visiting we always bring them here and are never disappointed. 5/5 well deserved!

The food was fresh and the hostess explained each dish and how it should be eaten. They knew it was our 1st time eating Mediterranean food.

Buffet was not good at all. Very few items and overpriced for nothing. There are much better desi buffets in the market.

I was in San Antonio for a work conference and somehow ended up at Dough two nights in a row…read more Honestly, after the first meal there was no way I wasn't coming back. The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

I can see a child burning their hand terribly on this! What did the restaurant do? Nothing... several times we suggested something be done and not until the manager realized that yes, this is a problem did he do something remotely responsible. I couldn't enjoy the food! I was upset? Hurting and taken back by the terrible way they handled the situation. For reference, I'll show you the picture with the barrier.

The food feels like the chefs were given good quality materials, but had no idea what to do with them. We ordered a funghi pizza to share then a cinghiale, a costine (short ribs), and a dentice (bass). Funghi pizza was the only dish that made coming worth it at all. It had a nice flavor, but if you're expecting the notes of an earthy mushroom flavor, don't. It's just a nicer version of a standard cheese pizza topped with some onions and mushroom. The cinghiale was just stunningly mediocre. The meat was flavorful, but the pasta itself was shockingly bland. It was just so... ok. The dentice was the best of the 3 individual dishes, but it is just what you would expect some average short ribs with random sauce to taste. The costine was just terrible. Salty on the outside, yet flavorless on the inside. Avoid at all costs. The service was passable, but they clearly overwork their servers as one server just handles an entire section and is too overwhelmed to be timely. I came to cheer myself up, but honestly it only made dinner comically worse. I seriously can't imagine what would cause someone to rate this as 5 stars. Maybe if they thought Olive Garden was 4.5, then I guess this would barely be a 5 in comparison? Either way, if you're looking for good food for your dinner, keep looking. You won't find it here.

Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.
