This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants here in San Antonio. My family and I love coming here, it's a buffet restaurant so we serve ourselves. I love trying a bit of all the food. The waiters are always nice and attentive. They have plenty of seating as well.

Went to this restaurant where they had buffet. I hadn't really ventured out in Indian food much besides tikka masala so it was a new culinary experience for me. Buffet was a good price at $15.99. I tried some of their dishes but really just served myself like 2 plates of tikka masala which is worth it for the price to be honest. The waiter was nice and in general they were really quick to pick up dirty plates and refill cups! Restaurant was quaint but busy! Seems like they get a lot of business.

This is the best place in Texas, don't know why people come in here saying the flavors are not there! Clearly they have not been to other locations around the State. I have all around and even overseas and this place inauthentic full of bold flavors and by far the Best out there! Every year I buy their chicken tikka masala for my home made tamales. Thank you very much for the great service and I always keep coming back! Love this place.

My go to Indian restaurant in San Antonio. A $15 buffet, with a wide range of options and fresh food? sign me up! I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience. If you go, I recommend trying a little of everything to find what you like most. To go through some of the dishes I like the most - - Saag paneer - The spinach and farmers cheese is fresh, and this is delicious to eat with naan or even samosas. - Channa Masala - A high protein vegetarian dish, featuring chickpeas along with a spicy flavored sauce. (not really hot in my opinion) - Cooked cabbage - I couldn't find the official name of this dish but GET IT !! The cooked cabbage with other vegetables is so simple but the seasonings they use with tender cabbage makes this addicting. - Chicken Tikka Masala - A creamy tomato based sauce covering rich flavored chicken that goes great eaten with naan. It really is a classic and they nail it. - Vegetable Samosas - I could come solely for these alone. I always have to limit myself because they are filling but taste so delicious. A crispy exterior with a soft inside filled with spiced potatoes and peas. - Eggs - Again, don't have the name and couldn't find it on the menu but the marinated eggs are delicious. These are just a few of my favorites. They also have desserts with the buffet too. The Mango Custard and Kheer are a great way to top off the meal. I like to mix them both so it feels like mango rice pudding. You really can't go wrong with anything at the buffet. Aside from the buffet, they have a wide menu. I personally have not ordered outside of the buffet but I would try other items based off what I have had. I enjoy coming here each time because of the great food for a good price, the staff is welcoming and the vibes are solid. I also appreciate how clean they are with the buffet, constantly wiping it down, keeping plates stocked and providing (and encouraging) hand sanitizer with each time you load a plate. A little side piece but its really neat they have glass windows where they cook the naan so you can see them make it on the huge tandoori ovens !

We love going to India Palace on the weekends for the buffet. Everything is delicious. The mushroom matar is my favorite! Great service as well. They stay on top of putting out fresh food

We love it here!!!!!! CLOSED ON MONDAYS. I have been coming here for years and I have NEVER caught them slacking. The buffet is always on point! Staff are quick to keep it stocked and the food hot. I mostly admire the passion and flavor put into every entree at the buffet. I feel like most buffets the food is made in a rush and sometimes can lack flavor, but not here. The food is always delicious!

My absolute FAVORITE place to have Indian Cuisine in San Antonio. We first visited in 2004, then frequented from 2006-2009 when we lived in San Antonio, and now live in Austin and visit any chance we get. The food has only gotten better. That says a lot. Chef Enrique is amazing and never ceases to amaze us. We always order tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, sag paneer, vegetable samosas, rice, nan, and end with some mango mawa! Highly recommend!!

I went for their lunch all you can eat special! After tax + tip, the total was around $18. I think this is a bit pricey for the value and selection. There are just two different stalls for the entrees + desserts. Since I don't often have Indian food, I thought it was pretty good. But I think compared to other Indian restaurants, this place is average. I did like the spinach paneer. They had this AMAZING rice pudding dessert and mango custard. The naan was pretty good. The samosa and chicken was dry and not that impressive flavor wise. I preferred the curries and saucier things. We were a larger group of 10+, and the servers looked a bit annoyed when seating us. Other than that, they were friendly. The seating area vibe is interesting, it's like what I would imagine an event room for a bar mitzvah would be like.

Food was delicious. All of it. My favorite is the chicken Marsala. They have fresh naan coming out to the buffet often. Service was great. Continued to fill our drinks as they got low. The music was nice too. The buffet is small but the dishes are pact with flavor. You'll definitely leave full. It's definitely worth the price. At $14.99 a person for lunch and dinner . And my little girl who's 4 was free which was nice cause she eats like a little bird which isn't much haha.

First I feel I should explain that I live in the total opposite area and outside the city so this place is quite a long voyage. Nonetheless, I feel as if I have to say, I love this restaurant. This new building location is way better than the last. No more random pot holes everywhere and no more worry of your entire car getting stuck in the parking lot because you happen to drive over a hole that's somehow three feet wide. I am such a big fan of this place infact when they closed to relocate I got depressed knowing I couldn't have their food for the time being. Now for the actual review. Walking into this restaurant you wouldn't expect much from it. A small buffet stand and a normal seating arrangement. They sat me down quite hastily and the waitress came immediately to pour water for you to quench any thirst you may have had before entering. Before I got my food I took a sip of the water she just poured and instantly the veil of the tandoor palace was lifted and it revealed its true nature. This place is a sanctuary run by the divines, the waitress a goddess. The water was the most refreshing water man could ever have. I felt like I was drinking tears that a god had cried over its subjects that just so happen to also land in the fountain of youth and this waitress is the only inhabitant in the mortal realm that has access to the said fountain. and she blessed you with this holy water by pouring it inside a piece of the holy grail. After experiencing pure ecstasy from the divine hostess I finally walked up to the small buffet to grab the same thing I have always gotten. Rice, with their chicken tiki masala. Shaking from the previous experiences I've had with this divine food I could hardly hold my excitement. Sitting down to finally have a bite, I felt a calling from heaven and the need to pray to god for blessing me with a sanctuary and meal such as this. With the first bite I am instantly face to face with the vision of this chicken I have swirling in my mouth. I've never seen such a chicken. He tells me that even though he has died, he is happy to have ended up in the hands of a chef that personally cooks for the gods on his free time and that the chef treated him such care he didn't even notice himself pass over to the afterlife and to be added to such an exquisite dish such as this and that he is happy to have brought someone like me such a feeling of immense joy. Hearing this from the sacred chicken I begin to cry tears of happiness. Pulses of oxytocin, dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin surge through my body and with every bite I experience pure heaven. I can't explain to you enough how I feel about this food more than what I am typing right now at this very moment. Then finally the Naan shows up, maybe a little late but just in time for me to experience a new joy of just having the chicken tikimasala and rice alone. Placing my fork down, I grab the piping hot naan and notice the slight glisten of butter over the surface of the Naan like a bar of pure gold, with pieces of what seems to be garlic and maybe cilantro and parsley. I continue to use its garlic buttery goodness to scoop the food on my plate and proceed to shove it into my mouth. I full heartedly believe an old man would say, "My stomach is jealous of my mouth for being able to have its way with it first." Plate after plate you would want to devour even if you would taint this holy sanctuary with the sin of gluttony, maybe try to hide your sin under the napkin they provide to you like the French do for ortolan bunting. Slowly I became full and still had some food on my plate. One shouldn't waste food here or more like who would want to. You'd rather sit there for an extra couple minutes so your stomach could settle and let the food get cold because you'd still wish to eat it. At this restaurant if one should find a hair in their food (not saying you will or i did im exaggerating!) you'd take it as a blessing from the divine in the kitchen and still continue to eat it. (Around it of course.) Meat balls were also pretty good.

Every South Asian restaurant I've loved in my life has been a health inspector's nightmare…read more In Berkeley, I used to frequent Kabana, where the bathrooms were disgustingly filthy, and the only source of light was my phone. Best food ever. Here in SATX, for years, I've (begrudgingly) frequented Madurai Mes a few blocks away. You enter the lobby, and it feels like the staff is having a competition over who can ignore you. It's cramped and dingy, and there are AC hoses snaked throughout the place, and I've never been able to eat there for under $30, but they make a pretty good thali. And so in my brain, the best indian food comes from Resturants you don't much want to eat at. Nawabi was huge and well lit and dare I say clean? It felt slightly dated, and culturally a bit off - like maybe it belonged to an Ethiopian restaurant before - but classy. So the food was going to suck. The menu is expansive and seemingly interesting. It was missing my thali. It did have a number of dishes that offered a few things to try. I haven't, as an adult, longed for food served from a bucket - but Biriyani seems like a solid choice with which to fill one. My kid doesn't care for dosas, but does he like chocolate dosa? I don't know, but were fixin' to find out. Some of the weekend-only options had me salivating. I ordered the Plain dosa with mutton curry. This is a novel combination to me, and maybe also to my waiter, who had me point it out on the menu. It was good, the dosa was thin and crispy with the right amount of edges, the sambar was just ok, the chutneys were good, mutton curry was excellent. I skipped dessert, and opted for chai masala. But I should have really gone with some of their kulfi which looked super tempting in its display case. In short, everything was pretty awesome. I have my next visits penciled in to try the lunch buffet, peruse the weekend menu, and track down the AYCE pani puris. The only problem was that this time - on a Monday night - I was the only customer there, which was weird. But the staff was super welcoming, no Deliverance vibes, so I went with it.
