The project was completed right on schedule, and their use of innovative technology made everything incredibly seamless. They use an app that shows the full construction schedule, and it was always up-to-date. Any time something changed, not only was it updated in the app, but we also received a call or text--no surprises, ever. Their subcontractors were respectful, professional, and very considerate of our existing home. The design phase was one of the highlights. Working with Mitzi and Lindsey was a dream. They toured us through a recently completed unit, walked us through flooring, roofing, and cabinet samples, and followed up with a detailed breakdown of everything we selected. When I was unsure about paint colors, they literally showed up with paint boards and samples so we could see them in person. That level of care is rare. The family dynamic at Gordon T Jacob is so refreshing--everyone shares the same strong work ethic and values, and you can feel it in how they operate. The job site was cleaned daily; trash was picked up or placed neatly in a trailer. Our property looked like a well-organized construction zone, not an eyesore for our neighbors. Communication was consistently excellent. From the owner to the superintendent, every single person made themselves available and responded promptly. They work with integrity, kindness, and an inspiring "can do" attitude. We absolutely love our new DADU, and I can't imagine choosing another company for any future building projects. Highly recommend Gordon T Jacob--you won't find a more reliable, hardworking, family-centered team.

Worst waste of money ever. So these ppl do floors and sold us on kitchen cabinets. The owner Alex…read moreLegkun was so rude and condescending with a really annoyed tone of voice. We spent thousands of dollars with him but he still was very VERY opinionated about our choices. We ordered them because we were tired of calling around and those were available but the quality of cabinets not only delivered cabinets that didn't do what he promised like some needed extra accessories so that was a lot of extra money he didn't tell us we would have to spend on top of what we had paid him. He offered other services like flooring install etc and so glad we didn't do it all with him. This guy shouldn't be in business anymore. He was terrible to deal with and the reviews below sounds sooooo fake like a friend or himself placed them. Anything thing that annoyed us is that he was so inconsiderate about meeting then made us feel like we were the ones taking advantage of him somehow. Got really angry on the phone and the rest of the transaction was a nightmare. He didn't even cared to show up to make sure cabinets were installed properly and we had a bunch of holes and had to argue with the installers because they got mad they were just throwing cabinets wherever they wanted not like the layout we had spoken w alex. That's another huge red flag, this guy doesn't even know how to measure a kitchen or bathrooms properly. HE GUESSES that if it looks good on his little computer screen, it will all actually fit!!! So don't trust him measuring your kitchen. Have a professional measure and triple check that layout along with the designers credentials. The cabinets were POOR POOR quality and many were NOT the size we needed!! He said to us that we must have "changed something" and we are like, how? We didn't submit layout to anyone nor moved any walls. Overall, really just wish we would've gone w a company that. Was established not so new. He also lied about owning the other company where the cabinets come from. Such lier and horrible person. I hope people just go elsewhere and save themselves tens of thousands of dollars and the big huge headache. Also, he refused to make things right! "Don't think any of this was my fault" he Saudi ha! Just glad I didn't trust him w our floors ir anything. Else he offered!!

I had a bathroom remodel I was told it would take 3-4 weeks, almost 4 months later, I hired another contractor to complete the job. The tile is poorly set, it is not level, the grout is not flush with the tile. Tile was scratched. Some of the new fixtures are scratched. They received the tile in plenty of time, however failed to check the shipment and when it was time for install found the boxes and tile damaged, another delay. My husband had to fix the barn doors that were installed, while doing so, found several broken screws and numerous drill holes. The cross slates were glued on not nailed, they have been replaced twice by us. Didn't fix a joist in the floor, that was on the job list. Called me and demanded final payment when the job was not finished. (didn't pay completely until finished). It was excuse after excuse.

When asked if there was an in between, they said yes but left it at max. 5. They brought a dumpster in for the demo of the bathroom and told us if we wanted to, we could put stuff in there but not to go over the lip of it. But then told us it was saposto be for the demo only and they should have charged us for it. My problem with that was if that's the case, I must have gotten a new garbage disposal and been full of all that fast food garbage that was in there too.. 6. They also wanted to charge us work that was not done. 7. The contract stated 2-piece tub but a one piece showed up, so they had to cut a hole in the side of the house and and left the corner uncovered for a day while it rained. Do you really want to support a company that actively takes money from honest hardworking people? A company that is actively doing everything they can to nickel and dime you. They came over to look at my roof for damage. Instead, they cleaned the roof. When I brought this up to them, they were very fast to fall back on "Bring this up with Invitation Homes; we can't do anything." I might believe that if I had not already dealt with Benson Remodeling. In the past, they have come in, looked at issues, and put in maintenance requests for issues they see. This time, they didn't even bother. Not even when I brought it up to them. They completely ignored that fact and just restated the same line their Wall Street company feeds them. Don't support a business that is actively doing their part to rob everyday Americans of their chance to own a home. To the response from the owner: Please read my review carefully. You are 100% capable of putting in work orders. I know this as a fact, but you refuse to do so. After interviewing several others, we were very impressed with Pat Kelley's professionalism and knowledge, but what won us over was his warmth and concern about making this project a safe, practical, and cozy home for my Mom. The construction got underway. Kelleys handled everything with patience and transparency. They communicated openly about budget, modifications and materials, performing the work beautifully. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic happened as we were nearing completion.
