That said, I was a little disappointed to find out that even with a reserved table, there's a $30 minimum if you want to stay for the jazz, and a $25 minimum for the comedy. I understand businesses have minimums, but personally, I prefer places where I can come in, relax, listen to the music, and decide what I want to spend without feeling pressured--especially when I'm experiencing a band or comedian for the first time and don't know what to expect. The waitress was okay, although there were a few assumptions made during my visit that I didn't feel were appropriate. I'm glad I checked it out and experienced it for myself. It just probably isn't somewhere I'll return to. I'm looking for more of a laid-back, come-as-you-are kind of spot where I can enjoy the entertainment without feeling obligated to meet a spending minimum. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! At least now I know.

My husband found this place and was interested because of the live music and it being a jazz place. We ubered there which seemed smart because it's street parking and seemed quite limited. There's a $5 cover on Fridays and Saturdays (I think they have live music both days) and we did not have a reservation. I think if you have a reservation you can get a table in their back area. We were up front with the band. It's a pretty small place, maybe about 5 or 6 high top tables in the front, the bar toward the back, and that back room which we didn't look in. We cozied up until someone left a high top and then hung out there. We ordered some drinks that were specials for the night and some that were regularly on the menu. We had a great time! Drinks were good, I think also reasonably priced. Music went from 7pm to 10pm and we got there around 7:30 and it was good and busy! This definitely feels like a family joint, their mascot is their little chihuahua Wishbone and I love that so much. Owners were fun, kept things going while the band was on break, just overall a really good time. I'm not much of a drinker so I can't speak to the types of liquor, but I definitely was feeling my drinks and couldn't finish my 3rd. If we lived here I think this would become a regular spot for us. What a fun time!

What a very cool listening lounge and I'm so glad I stopped in to check it out!…read more I came here on a Friday night as they also have a market set up in their outdoor area, so it was fun to see all the vendors' wares. Everything from clothing to sourdough bread on offer here. I then wandered into the lounge and loved the way the bar is set up, very inviting and super chill. The DJ was also spinning some nice beats and the ambiance was laid back, classy with ocean vibes. I wanted to stay longer and enjoy a drink, but my tummy was calling for me to get some food... I'll come back again another night to enjoy the space as I really liked the vibe a lot!

That evening's DJ was great and kept the vibe going. The service was ok; it took a little while to get someone to take our order, but as soon as they did, the drinks and food came quickly. I got one of the specials (2 empanadas and 2 glasses of wine for $30). All their drinks are made with Korean Soju. They also have a selection of wine and beer. My DIL had the Norwegian Wood and it was delicious - it also packed quite a punch! The food portions were small, but delicious. The truffle popcorn was amazing, as were the beef empanadas. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Oceanside!

We came here Labor Day weekend to celebrate my brother's birthday…read more My dad had called ahead to reserve a table since it was 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We were seated right away. We started with some appetizers - my favorite was the crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Everything was perfectly roasted and there was a great kick with the habanero jam feta. The fly basket was pretty good, but keep in mind that the portion size is small - 3 of each of the hush puppies, fried shrimp, and fried green tomatoes. My husband ordered one of the specials which was a short rib pot pie - one of our favorite dishes of the night. The short rib was so tender and the dish was rich but in the perfect way. I ordered the tri tip sando. It was loaded up with meat and grilled peppers and onions. I upgraded my fries to truffle fries and those were really flavorful! My mom ordered the cioppino. She was a little disappointed by how many mussels there were in the dish - she had been hoping for more fish and shrimp. She said the flavor was good though. For dessert, we did opt to try the beignets. Honestly I could have done without them. They weren't as light and fluffy as they could've been. Overall, it was a good experience with great accommodations for our toddlers and great service.
