I really had high hopes for this place. Good location, nice website and even puppy practice grooming services. Unfortunately and sadly my experience was not good and I won't be returning. 3 hours is a long time for a 12 week old puppy first off to be at the grooming salon. In addition, when I picked him up, they just let him out of the backroom to roam, I had to ask where his collar and leash were, then she couldn't get the collar on, so I stepped in and put on his buckle collar. He was visibly stressed and overwhelmed. I asked if anyone had taken him out in the 3 hrs, no one knew. So I ran him out, he did both businesses. I went back in and asked another question while I paid about the service, again no one knew who did what. Cut wasn't too bad. Not the worst, not the best. Called to ask what happened but they just straight up claimed it didn't happen at their place, no apology or anything. I would have taken an apology, but they just brought out this "it's-your-words-against-mine-what-can-you-do" attitude. Stay away from this place. UPDATE: For full context, we dropped our dog at 9:00AM at the place and picked her up at 3:30PM, for a total of 6.5 hours. The owner is claiming that the wound does not look "fresh" enough to be caused by them. With a 6.5 hour window, I am not sure how "fresh" the wound have to be in order for the owner to start taking responsibilities. I know for a fact this happened at the business. I brought my cat in for a lion cut, he was there for 4 hours (which I can understand, but the original appt time told me one hour in the confirmation) they called me half way though and said my cat won't let them touch his front paws so they were going to modify his haircut. This seemed odd as my cat is super calm, cuddly, and doesn't mind his paws being touched. I trusted their recommendation thinking they would make him look cute. Picked him up and I am embarrassed for him. The cut is uneven, he has a cut on his back, and he looks awful. I would be understanding and fine with all of this if I wasn't charged 180.00. We brought our dogs in for full service grooming and they did a great job on both! Quick highlights: - Reservations were done online which was a breeze. I received confirmation for our appointment a couple of hours after. - They have a big lobby for safe social distancing and staff wore masks. We were given a scheduled drop off time and our dogs were the only ones in the waiting area. - Brianna discussed cut preferences with us beforehand while our golden retriever angled for pets the entire time. They were a little militant and rude first time we went to them, but we decided to give them another chance. Well, after two outings, these people are the nastiest, most condescending, stuck up, awful groomers we've ever been to. They wanted to shave our dog. We told them no thanks, we'd rather try to get the mattes out ourselves and come back. (we've been doing it for 7 years and we're actually pretty good at it without hurting our dog at all) But they didn't like that idea and since we wouldn't let them do to our dog what they wanted to do, they told us if we left we would owe them a late cancellation fee of $32.50. We said of course we weren't paying that. Then they said, "If you don't, you can never come back / you'll never find another groomer who will groom him in this condition / what you're doing is this, get a vet, you'll hurt him so bad he'll need it / Virtue signaling / Yada, yada, yada." I finally told them... he's our dog, I didn't come here to be talked down to like that. Listen, we love our our little guy more than anything and we're responsible dog owners. We always do what is best for him, but you don't tell us how to raise our kids, we don't tell you how to run your business. That's just not how things work. That being said, and we knew this... he actually wasn't that matted. We brushed out most of his mattes the night before. So we think they were either just trying to tack on the cost to brush the mattes out. ($2 per minute) or they were just wrong about the mattes he had. And hey, that's ok, we all make mistakes, honestly. What was not ok was the condescending conversation that they instigated. The thing is... it wasn't worth this one star review, was it? Why did you have to have the last nasty word out the door? I know you probably get a bunch of neglectful, dumb dog owners, but perhaps while you think you may know more about dogs than than some, perhaps you don't? And perhaps you need to work on your customer service skills if you plan to be successful in this sector. Anyway, we ended up taking our dog to another groomer in Kirkland who fit us in the very same day. She affirmed he was a little matted, but overall fine and was able to remove the very few mattes our dog had. No issues. No shaving. $30 less too. So for us... this was easy. We found a wonderful groomer and left one we weren't really sure about anyway. And if you're looking for a great groomer, may I suggest Pup Scruff and Scruff to Fluff as well as Petco on 85th in Kirkland. They all do wonderful jobs at a rate about 20-30 dollars cheaper than these jerks. read more

The staff isn't very friendly-- today was better than last but still not great. Our pup left both times seeming super off. The energy at this business really doesn't feel good AT ALL. Almost like no one wants to be there? My husband went in and also saw what I saw and felt what I felt. Our pups nails weren't done very well either-- had to fix a few nails and he seems upset with his paws. Keeps licking them and putting them in his mouth. Bummer. All the Petcos were booked around the area and my boyfriend was able to find this place. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They did a great job on my dogs first time to the groomers. They just opened in June 2020 and are a small business. I was so nervous to bring my dog to his first grooming experience not knowing how he's going to react since he hates baths. They said he did a great job for his first time and I for sure will come back to this place again. My pup was so happy after we left. I paid around $60-70 for all the extra services I added (I forgot to take a picture of the prices). Booking for an appointment online was also so fast and easy to do. I made an appointment online, when I got there was told there was no groomer there for the day... They said they would give him a bath only and trim his face... My sister picked him up about seven hours later, his face was still sticky, and he was still dirty, and he smelled Still stinky. I sent an email to let them know what happened and basically I was told that it was too bad.... No offer of making it better and making it right. besides that I was charged $115... No offer of even bringing him in to fix him. Place used to have good service when they first opened but now they're little busier and their customer service has gone to shit. read more

He was there for 6 hours which is an incredibly long time for a senior pup. His face & ears were still the same unkept angle they were when I dropped him off. i have a shiba inu and grooming time is always stressful for her. Shibas can be anxious and temperamental. She always seemed so stressed when i visited other groomers in the past, and a couple of times i found abrasions where the slip harness goes around her neck. i decided id always do my own grooming for her as i couldn't take the idea of leaving my dog to be abused by some groomer. I decided to try furtician on the recommendation of a friend who also has a shiba inu. Ive gone few times now and i'm going to be using them regularly. My dog always comes out looking fresh, happy and relaxed. If i didnt know any better, i'd assume she spent the afternoon napping and playing, not at the groomers. i cant recommend furtician enough, what a great business! read more

I had been taking my cat Sophie to this groomers for maybe close to 2 years now. I always had a great experience. The last time I brought her and my younger cat Nala to get groomed, I specified that I wanted Sophie to get the sanitary trim as well as the regular bath and brush out. She can get agitated, so when I booked the appointment and dropped them off I reminded the woman at the front desk that any mats found can be shaved if she gets too agitated when trying to brush them out. I also paid extra for the deshed shampoo for Nala. 4.5 hours later they were ready and I picked them up. I was told that everything went well and paid the $180. When I got home I noticed they both had a mat still on their backs, which was confusing because Nala does not get agitated when being brushed, and I specifically made it clear that they can shave any mats if Sophie got agitated. Nala also was still shedding like crazy as if she didn't get brushed at all. The sanitary trim was also not done on Sophie. The main reason why I get my cats groomed is to get their nails trimmed, to have any mats brushed out, and to get the sanitary trim for Sophie because she's long haired. 2 out of the 3 were not done after spending almost $200. They were able to refund me half, but said I should go elsewhere because they could not meet my "expectations", as if I had unreasonable requests. Both cats were visibly distressed for about the next 2 days following that experience, so I'm not sure what they put them through. Hope this helps anyone make their decision about where to get their cat groomed. read more

This was my first and last time taking my cat to Furtician. I thought about giving it a try since it had some good reviews, but the service received was ridiculously bad, to say the least. My cat was there for a total of 5-6 hours for a Teddy Bear Cut and spread across two visits because they couldn't "finish" him in time. The "finished" product? 60% uneven and patchy haircut with a few of mats left and $160 later. I attached a couple of pictures. I thought this has to be a joke, right? I talked to the supposed manager, Bri, to get a refund because this is simply not what I signed up for. She told me that they completed the services but that my 1-year-old skinny timid cat with no nails was too aggressive for them to do a good job. If the business is not capable of finishing up a job they SPECIALIZE in, they should at least give you a refund and say they're sorry for wasting your time driving to two appointments. On their website, they claim to have "amazing service and communication with you, along with the best grooming experience possible". They are for sure not in the customer service business as the manager did not care about customer satisfaction, and definitely not in the cat grooming business since they cannot complete a simple job.
