We have two medium/ large dogs and were looking for a place to take them for both daycare as well…read moreas to have for boarding when we found K9 Country Club. During the first daycare experience, everything seemed to go OK, but we were surprised that they didn't seem tired at all upon pickup. At our previous daycares, the dogs would come home ready to rest and relax... definitely wasn't the case this time. Despite the initial daycare experience, we decided to board our dogs here over the New Years holiday as we really needed to have them in a safe place where they would be able to be together and would have daycare during the day. Our dogs seemed to do really well and did come home exhausted after the three day boarding experience and seemed to be in good spirits! The only odd thing was how thirsty the dogs were when they got home - it was like they hadn't drank in days (but this could just be from over excitement). The reason that I chose to remove a star is because they seem to be very disorganized and the front desk woman is a bit rude. Multiple times I was contacted for a missing vaccine or paperwork or this or that and yet they already had it ... just lost it/ misplaced it. Even upon check in, I had to go over the same items (like medication instructions) over and over because the woman checking us in did not listen (and truthfully is pretty rude). Additionally at check out... I was handed a bag full of stuff that wasn't mine. I was glad I checked as some other dog/ owner would've been without their bowls, food, etc. Despite the front desk woman being rude, the rest of the staff and the manager here are all very friendly and work to get things right. One employee that really went above and beyond (and will be the reason we come back is Casey (I hate to say I'm not 100% sure on his name, but I believe that's it). He took extra time to get to know the pups so they felt comfortable going with him, wrote down all the instructions for himself and also took time to speak with my family to ensure we felt comfortable. Overall - a good boarding place but one that has some improvement opportunities in administration.

I always feel welcomed and even my sensitive senior pup loves her classes there. The care starts the minute you enter the facility , and all employers are gracious and friendly. There's an underlying sense of fun that's reflected in interactions with my pups. You can't go wrong with choosing K9 CC!

Decent enough place but the pricing is a complete scam and there is no real way to see your charges…read moreup front. The website lists anything from $40-60 a day but it's going to be over $100. Just plan for that and it'll be ok. After coming here for years I finally asked about all the extra charges and the staff got very angry and defensive. I was told all hotels charge 3 days for a 2 night visit.. the day you arrive, the middle one and pick up day.. why am I suprised. (that really happened). I actually tried to make clear it wasn't a money thing and offered to pay double just so we could have a discussion about all the charges but even that didn't work. :) Just plan on $100-$120 a day and if they offer you a bathing or grooming session know that is going to cost the price of the Bathing AND an additional day charge for the dog staying late to have to done. (again.. double) I think its that they list a "lodging" charge but then also have a "Spa" charge so you're paying separately for the day and the nights but thats not really disclosed anywhere and they don't want to explain any of the prices or how they got there.

Taz and Kendall not only are great trainers but you can tell they genuinely care about the dogs. Frankly that is the single most important quality I look for in a trainer. I am continuing my training with Sit Means Sit and am currently attending the next series of group classes I have noticed a stronger connection with my dog as a result of these classes and am excited to continue my training journey with him and Sit Means Sit. Highly recommend !

*using same review from broadway location since we train at both facilities *…read more In 2021, i thought that my people/dog aggressive blue heeler was unfixable and possessed the potential fate of being put down. It is now Jan 3, 2023 and I am truly so happy with SMS. My consultation was late December 2021 with Austin at the Broadway location. I explained to him my concerns and goals and he was very enthusiastic about Bojack's potential with the program. Austin had me test the e-collar for my own reassurance as an owner. (test was on fatty area of the palm). I never had doubts about using this sort of training tool, especially with a dog like Bojack which I knew needed something more than just a "good boy! here's a pat on the head". Bojack did the 6 day course where he attended a daycare-like setting at the Broadway facility 3 days for 2 weeks. (He was muzzled for each class which I fully supported). After every class, I would get a lesson on what Bojack learned such as how to use the e-collar and the basic commands that follow with it, (heel, place, sit, down, stay, come). Bojack already knew these commands from a previous program he did but I was mostly looking forward to the years' worth of group classes that are included in the price. (these group classes were the absolute selling point for me. I was very dedicated to Bojack's progress). Bo's first group class was Jan 27, 2022. It has been almost an entire year and I truly can't believe the progress he has made with SMS. In these past 12 months, Bo has truly mastered most of the commands and exercises that we do during group class. Bojack has now been accepted into the brand new Advanced II class that will consist of weekly field trips for higher-skilled exercises and a more challenging environment. This is all credited towards the amazing trainers he has seen throughout the year: Patricia and Mike throughout the year, Zach for the last half of the year and Isaac for these past couple weeks. (also a big thank you to all the trainees/newer employees that help run the facility). I am not going to lie, Bojack still has reactivity issues, but I have accepted and so should you, (if you are a severely reactive dog owner), that these behaviors will likely not go away due to many unique reasons. BUT, what you CAN do is learn how to be proactive. Proactivity and consistency is the key for owning dogs like these. You can't expect to drop a couple grand on SMS, not attend any group classes and then expect a cured dog. Those group classes are absolutely vital to you and your dog's training abilities. Being consistent is so important, I can't stress that enough. With the dedication I put into Bo and SMS for the past 12 months, I can now take Bo to any crowded place and feel confident in his ability to execute an excellent heel walk while walking by distractions amongst other commands. Thank you trainers and Lisa for the environment you created, for the training you provided and the confidence you instilled in me and Bo :)
