Charlie Blu, the Aussie, here telling you about my recent experience at Tails are Wagging…read more Even though Dad takes me everywhere, sometimes he needs to board me when he leaves town for my own sake, so this doggie camp was my first choice. It has a nice time range of drop off and pick up times which helps with Dad's schedule and ensures that I get to come home without delay. I like that we get an opportunity to play outside 90 minutes at a time, 3 times a day. The outdoor area is 1/2 covered and 1/2 in the sun, which gives me options in various weather conditions. Since I'm just a year old and under 40 lbs, the helpers also put me in the small doogie group with others my size, so we can play together. There is a separate area to go potty and plenty of time set aside to rest. The owner is friendly and answered questions quickly. After an interview, updated shots, and a 3 hour daycare trial , it was determined that I could come back here for an overnight stay. The 4'x6' kennels are big enough to get a good night sleep. It's a good thing Dad remembered the dog mat because the floors are concrete and would have been too cold for me. Glad we found this place because next to sticking to Dad and Mum like velcro, this boarding facility is a good fit when they can't be with me.

This place performed their services well until I boarded my dog. I dropped her off for a weekend,…read moreand picked her up to find her paws extremely red and raw; so much so that she walked with a limp for days after. They did not inform me of this upon picking her up. She's little, so they handed her to me, meaning I didn't even know what was wrong until I got home and let her walk around. We were only told about this over a phone call from the doctor, who offered no explanation other than "it could be from nervous pacing"; something that's never happened to her before. Grade A detective work there, doc! Thanks for keeping my animal safe and happy! Edit: Since Yelp won't let me respond directly to the reply this business left under my review, I will put my response here: Firstly, this review is not intended for another business, unless there are any other places by the name of "Stone Oak Veterinary Clinic" that I don't know about. Secondly, as I already mentioned, I spoke with the doctor regarding this issue previously, so I already have contacted you directly. There's no reason for me to do it again months later. Thirdly, I'd like to mention that during this same pickup, your employees handed me my dog's bed covered in shit. They didn't even mention it; instead, they waited for me to notice myself, just like how they waited for me to notice my dog's injured paw. I guess they were just hoping I wouldn't notice at all? I had to ask them to take it back and clean it. In short I won't be taking my dog or her bed back to ya'll again. Thanks.
