News to me because he's had baths at multiple Lucy's locations many times and regularly. They explained they were letting him air dry. Air dry a GSD? Now he smells like wet dog. When I picked him up at 12:50 no bandanna or cologne. Not the first time they missed that. Makes you wonder if all the services were performed when you pay $150. Manager attempted to interject but kept interrupting me. At that point, I was checked out. He stated he would inquire and call. No attempt to fix it right then. It's been two and a half hours and still no call. I'll drive a bit further to the 1604 location or look for another dog bather.

They offer full days and half days too. They have little pools for the dogs to walk in, trees everywhere and lots of shade for the Summer months. They have live cameras (accessible through the web site) in all areas to watch your kids throughout the day. They ensure all vaccinations are current so your dog will be safe and complete temperament tests before your dog interacts with the pack. My boy was recently adopted from the Animal Defense League and he was so scared. I am sure he never experienced Doggy daycare before. They were patient with him and loved on him as if he was their own. When he got really nervous they separated him and gave him some space. He is now a regular several times a week. They have great financial packages, offer tons of services and soon they will opening the area to wash your own doggies. They also offer free day care if you have a primary dog and foster another and they are dropped off together. How amazing is that!!!!!! Ten stars goes to Lucy's.

Our only concern was they put the dogs out for 90 minutes in the summer heat with no water and no access to water while they're out there. That's why we didn't use this business because it's been about 100 to 101 for a long time now this summer. I don't think it's wise to put a dog outside in the heat even if there is shade for more than 10 minutes without water.

After this happened, my puppy, in fear went to the corner and didn't move from that point on (30 or so minutes). I called the front desk immediately and asked for Misty, who was occupied - then I requested my baby be removed and put into a kennel until I got there. The staff member who answered said they would notify whoever was monitoring and NEVER removed my dog. 15 or so minutes later I called again and spoke with Misty who did remove my dog and put her in a kennel until I arrived. To add, there was only 1 kind staff member besides Misty, who helped me during drop off. One of the ladies glared at me in the am and the other one had a very poor attitude during checkout. She came back filthy, smelly, and whiny. Never again.

Due to the recent storm we lost security in our back yard because our fence fell. We got photos nearly every day of our dogs enjoying pup cups (additional cost)& we were able to watch the dogs the entire time. The poodle did receive an injury on her paw to which I was notified immediately. Luckily it was superficial& nothing to be concerned about. We even received report cards detailing their behavior while at the boarding center. Everything was handled nicely and it was incredibly easy to upgrade anything we might've wanted to during their stay. I fully intend on coming back to this location. Thank you for creating a safe environment for my dogs and ensuring they were well cared for during their stay!

I have been using this dog boarding and grooming retreat intermittently for the past three years…read more Recently, I boarded two of my dogs for three days, which included playtime and grooming for my standard poodle, as well as a bath for my teacup yorkie. The online booking process was quite easy. Unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing due to overbooked grooming services and poor check-in communication. I received multiple calls with various frustrating excuses, including one that said they couldn't find the paperwork detailing the grooming style I wanted for my poodle and another that cited staffing shortages. These were just a couple of the reasons provided. I received these calls while I was at work, which was exactly why I had boarded my dogs--to avoid interruptions unless absolutely necessary. Since I remained in San Antonio, I expected better communication and reliable follow-through, especially given the high costs involved. I wish I had been informed from the start about the issues so they could have been addressed while I was not in the middle of giving presentations. After all my troubles, I was offered a 10% discount on the grooming, but they ultimately did a subpar job. I am very disappointed with the staff I spoke to, including the manager. I didn't want to express my frustration immediately, so I waited three weeks before posting this review.

After a 5 nights stay, my poor dog smells really bad, has been…read morecrying since I picked her up for 2 straight hours, lost a lot of weight, and now has fleas on her. No leftover food or treats were returned to me because then I could have seen how much she had been fed, which couldn't have been much by how much she's lost! I asked to see where she was staying when we dropped her off because I paid for a "deluxe suite," and they refused and referred me to photos on their website. They claimed people walking through there get the dogs barking. So are your employees invisible then? Because they have to walk through there. Those photos on their site could have been from anywhere! I guess they aren't washing bedding between pets either, or my dog wouldn't have fleas because she had none when I dropped her off! She wouldn't have smelled so bad either. She doesn't play with other dogs, or go to dog parks, so there is no chance from getting fleas that way. This place used to be a LOT better than it is now. And the smell when you walk in the door will knock you over. Never smelled that bad when we used them before and that was in the heat of the summer! Also, it was really hot in there this morning when it was only 65 outside so it's not even kept cool for the pets. It's supposed to be climate controlled. So, disappointed in this place! Idk if they are under new management or what because we haven't used them since 2024, but my dog will NEVER stay there again. My daughter's cat also unfortunately stayed there in a "deluxe suite". It's nothing more than a small cage she is kept in like at a shelter. There's NOTHING deluxe about it. I specifically asked them to leave her travel crate with her because my daughter put a shirt in there that smells like her to comfort the cat, when I picked her up they got the travel crate from a storage room and the shirt was still in it. This cat loves her travel crate and when the guy handed her to me in it he said, "she hates the crate". No, she loves it! She lays in it in my daughter's apartment during the day sometimes because it comforts her. Idk what they did but she was acting like she didn't want to be in it at all! She meowed the entire way home. She had been silent on the ride there to drop her off though. The cat smelled bad, too. So, we paid a fortune for them to neglect our animals, and not do what we asked, and refused to let me see where my dog was staying (suspicious), and charged me for a "deluxe suite" (crate) to keep the cat in. Complete sham! Why is it so hard to find a place that will take good care of your pets for you when you have to travel?! Lastly, I got pictures of our dog every day and she looked sad in all of them. But my daughter only got any photos of her cat the last day she stayed there. Pretty sure that was the only time they let her out of that crate! I don't trust these ppl and my babies will NEVER stay there again!
