We have been using Melody's pet ranch for many years. Even when we had moved to downtown San Antonio (45 min 1 way drive). Our fur babies are well taken care of and are very normal dropping off and picking up. Once at last minute, Melody's had no openings. We tried a place with "frills" and it took them a week to behave as normal when we picked them up. It was as if they were in shock of some sort and extremely terrified (tails between their legs). We've been taking our dogs to Melody's for a couple of years now and my in-laws have been taking their dogs even longer! I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else. We have 3 Dogo Argentinos one with cancer, another who is deaf and we've never had an issue. She gives the medication as directed and has never thrown any of our pills away. The kennels are always are clean and staff is always friendly. When we pick them up they've already taken them on a walk to go potty and she makes sure mine haven eaten breakfast yet so they don't make a mess in our car. Also the kennels are indoor/outdoor which is amazing I couldn't ask for more and a good price too. read more

This was the first time I took my 3 dogs to any kennel. I went to the facility about one month before our vacation to check it out. The people were very friendly and the facility was very clean. We boarded our dogs for 2 weeks. While we were on vacation,our oldest dog (16 years old) happened to pass away while at Melody's. Melody called us and let us know that she was not eating,asked us if she could take her to our vet and kept us apprised of her condition. Not that you are ever happy to lose a dog but I was glad our dog was being looked after my caring people. I will happily use her again and highly recommend them. read more

We have used Melody's Pet Ranch for over 12 years and have had a good experience. No frills, but safe and clean. Meds are given as instructed; we even had a diabetic dog who was given insuline injections with each meal. Rates are very low. read more

The place is simple but always clean when I've been there and my dog is tired when he gets home but is always in good condition. The prices are among the best around. It's a little bit out of the way compared to some of the other places around San Antonio, but it's my place of choice now. read more
