    We are repeat customers having bought a couch and dining set years ago. Buying furniture was great. Showroom had choices, they do free delivery and no tax if you pay cash. Lonnie, on floor sales is personable and makes you feel at ease right off the bat to do business. However GETTING YOUR FURNITURE IS ANOTHER STORY WHICH CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS A LONG, TERRIBLE ORDEAL, which started from June 25 to August 28! Long story short, they wasted our time by delivering crappy furniture that we declined the delivery and demanded a refund! We ordered a couch on June 25 as our old one had to go and we were expecting a visit from family on the first week of August. We picked out the fabric and specifications and was told 2 weeks to deliver. Almost 2 weeks go by and we got the call we thought was going to schedule delivery, but was instead told that the fabric was out so it was going to take 2 more weeks because they have to wait for it. Why would you wait two weeks to let me know that fabric was out? Should have been the first red flag! Another 2 weeks came and went and no couch. I was nervous cuz the week of relatives visiting was coming up and our old couch was in a very bad condition, which was why we ordered the couch in the first place. Lonnie was very nice and apologetic and promised to take our old couch at no charge and give a loaner couch while I have visiting relatives. Problem was, the rude delivery people just showed up off schedule to deliver the loaner couch while I was out and apparently was not informed to pick up the old couch so when they received their new instructions from their boss and after arguing with my mom, begrudgingly took the old couch and demanded a tip! How do you have that audacity after yelling at a customer? Unacceptable! So again, more fire-putting-out from Lonnie, who's very good at it. She must have have quite the practice. August 10-they delivered the couch and it straight up looked like someone made it out of their garage! It was uneven, you can see the studs on the back and had a small tear on the fabric. I will let the pictures speak for itself. Naturally, I asked for it to be taken back. They said another 2 weeks. I also asked them to take their loaner couch because I have 2 toddlers and I didn't want to damage their furniture. More apologies and assurances from Lonnie. Finally after another 2 weeks, they delivered another couch. You would think that after what they put us through, you would do some simple quality control measures of inspecting the couch before delivering it to your wronged customer? Nope, that's too much to ask! The couch that we got had chipped legs. I didn't even bother having them bring in the rest of the pieces. I've had it and did not hesitate to let Lonnie know. I demanded for my money back. I went to collect my check the next day and Lonnie, again was so sorry that she wrote the check with an added $50. I wasn't going to make a scene but I'm sure she was worried that I was going to repeat my grievances in their storefront with customers overhearing how terrible they are. Frankly, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I can and never have to deal with them again. They wasted so much of our time! Lonnie should seriously think of running for politics. I mean all those hollow promises! She'd be good at it! We went to BELLA CASA in Fremont, early October and custom-ordered a couch. We told them about the ordeal we went through and showed them the fabric we chose from the other place to get the same thing, when they saw the fabric code, turns out that the supposed manufacturing company was already closed. So maybe I was right, it was probably built in someone's garage! When we received our couch from BELLA CASA, it looked just like the brochure and the quality, just as its supposed to be.

    Do not go here, even if the price is cheap. Delivery service was the most horrible service, first they scratch the floor in my master bedroom and tell my mother she a terrible person for asking money. All she said was try to be careful and try not to scratch the floor . Also bought a table for the kitchen and had marks, and wasnt properly clean up. After they finish with the setup with master bedroom and kitchen table they waited to get a tip from me after the service they gave me. Horrible horrible i will not shop here again, who ask for a tip seriously?! Go to living spaces or ikea

    Most of my furniture is recognizable from an ikea catalog. So basic, I know. But eventually, I knew there was going to be a day when I needed to upgrade from my college bought furniture. The time came and I needed a futon for my living room! I decided to stray away from the big name swedish store to something local. Surprisingly, I did not expect San Leandro to have so many furniture stores (Yelp it yourself and see!). The area where I eventually made my way to Furniture Today, had 4 different huge stores alone! At Furniture Today, I freely strolled around the store, testing out a couple set ups they had. Believe it or not, after a number of furniture stores - I appreciated that I could walk around without the pressure of someone following or pushing a sale on me. After seeing most of the store, got to talk budget and options with the sales rep there. Some of the futons she showed me at the store was not 100% to my liking, so she showed me some special order options. So glad she did because I saw a futon that was totally the color and plush style I wanted. And most importantly, the price was right! Although I wasn't sure how the special order would turn out, I was shown similar pieces (in terms of fabric and color) to get a better idea of what I was getting. The reassurance helped lots! Placed the order, and futon came in a week. Opted for pick up, and they gave me a ring to make sure I had a an appropriate size car for pick up. Popped over the store with a truck, and went straight to the back where a man kindly unloaded everything into my truck bed. Got home, and pieced everything together easily. Overall, pretty happy with my purchase and glad to now have a unique futon that me and the fam can enjoy :)

    I was in search of a new bed. I haven't had a new bed in 50 years. Just different hand me downs. So I walked into Furniture Today and Sam met me as I did. Very nice salesman. He showed me around and let me try out different mattresses. This ones to soft. This ones to hard. Well you know the rest! This ones Just Right!!! I wasn't really thinking of a whole Bedroom set. But I found one. I looked around a bit more and went back to this one particular set. I want this! He even got me a smaller box spring to go with it. I don't like "climbing" up on my bed. They make all of them so high these days. Well I'm just here to say Sam was the best. I walked in just looking and left with the best Bedroom set ever. I'm sleeping much better and every time I walk in my room I'm so happy. Also the two men who delivered and set up my set were very nice and quick. And they showed up when they said they would!! Just a great experience all around. Thanks Sam. See you on a cruise some day.

We got rid of all and everything, so we needed to buy new furnitures. Found NWCF on yelp and Tim was the one who helped us. He was so patient and helpful! Prior to coming here, we eye shopped at other shops, one of them being Scandinavian Designs. We fell in love with one of their bed frame that was made in Italy, but it was too pricey. No natter how many other bed frames we looked at, we couldn't settle. So, just for the sake of it, we asked Tim if they might have a similar bed frame we saw at Scandinavian Designs. And to our surprise, they did! We purchased : Bed frame + king sized mattress (we absolutely love!) Dining table (love the marble top table, but the chairs that came with it appears cheaply made. The legs keep unscrewing, making it wobbly and flimsy to sit) Sofa set (husband likes it and says it's comfy since it reclines, but not to my liking. It hurts my back and is not comfortable at all.) Coffee table (the top can be adjusted higher and comes with 4 storage chairs) 2 rugs (my dog really likes it) Wine rack (money wasted) Tv stand (stylish and nice) Delivery was included as well as the assembly of everything. Most of the furnitures were delivered on time, except, the bed frame took forever to come and our firm mattress was delivered as a plush. It appeared the company that the bed frame was ordered from kept delaying the delivery date so we had to sleep on the plush mattress for a week or two with box springs that NWCF let us borrow. The owner, Ethan, made sure to keep us updated through all the delays and did change out the plush to a firm mattress. Finally, after several weeks, our bed frame was delivered. The guys who delivered it assembled the bed for us nicely. At the same time, they had to change out our dining table because we noticed the corner edge was broken off. The initial customer service experience was great, but im leaving 3 stars because Im disappointed that an agreement was not honored. When we first made all these purchases, I asked Tim if something did not work out even after couple months, if they would be able to take it back. We were told that they pride themselves in customer service, but if it goes over a certain period of time, usually no, BUT he would make an exception for us. Clearly, that doesn't seem like the case... I understand it's been over 5months, but the wine rack ended up not being a good fit. Many of my wine bottles don't fit as well as all my wine glasses don't fit either. So basically, it's not serving its purpose. Called recently and asked if we could return/exchange to something else, but was denied because the original box has been thrown away and it took over 2 hrs to assemble. So very disappointed.

Mind you my previous bedroom set I got rid of I had for over 25 years - Cherry wood (the real wood). Of course I regretted buying this furniture. So with some back and forth the guy says bring the dresser to us and they will ship to manufacturer and "see what they can do". Not reassuring. So my husband took the dresser down on a Tuesday, then the people at the warehouse say, we need you to bring it back on Thursday, as if they couldn't just store 1 broke dresser for 2 days, but whatever. So they send it back, the guys says the dresser should be ready in 2 weeks. 4 weeks go by, no word from them, so I call, the guy at DFW says oh let me check and can I call him back. I said no, you have had my dresser for over a month, and have made no attempt to give me a courtesy call and I expected him to call me back especially since it had been over 4 weeks it was with manufacturer. Overall, the quality of furniture is POOR, and cheaply made, I think Ikea might of offered some better quality furniture. I would not recommend DFW for furniture to anyone. I didn't like that they were quick to be dismissive and had to go back and forth about getting the 4 month old dresser to be returned and fixed, and on top of everything they didn't even try to offer me nothing.

The couch I saw was $2600 - Ashley Tisdale 6 piece sectional with 2 recliner , 1 love seat. My budget was $1900, since the couch I bought from Costco didn't work out, and thankfully they allowed me to return it... The owner of the store made a deal with me, and bought the price down to $2000 and free delivery if you lived in San Leandro area. The only downside about this is that 1) no returns 2) measurements must be accurate, so you know if it'll fit in your living space 3) cash for a better discounted price I'm glad I was able to purchase my forever couch :) During the deliver, the kind men brought it in and pieced it together ! After not hearing anything, we called to confirm and were told delivery would be on April 25th. My mom waited all day no one showed up and there was no communication. On April 27th, we went into the store and spoke with an older gentleman who apologized and said the black box springs were out of stock, which is why delivery didn't happen. He promised they would be delivered that same evening. After waiting all evening, the delivery finally arrived close to 9 PM but they only brought ONE box spring, even though we purchased two. The next day (April 28th), I called and was told the missing box spring would be delivered that evening. Again, my mom waited all day and no delivery and no call. On April 29th, I called again and was told it would be delivered that evening between 6:30-8:00 PM. Once again, no delivery and no communication. On April 30th, my son called to follow up yet again, explaining how many days my mom had wasted waiting. We were then told it would be delivered that day but that someone needed to be there to help the delivery driver because he is elderly and couldn't carry the box spring on his own. This was extremely frustrating. My mom is also elderly and specifically paid for delivery service so she wouldn't have to deal with situations like this or find someone to help. The delivery was finally completed on April 30th, but the entire experience was unacceptable. The lack of communication, repeated missed deliveries, and unreasonable expectations placed on the customer made this a very frustrating and exhausting process. I would not recommend this store based on our experience.

Now they are giving me another delivery time tomorrow Sunday at 12pm but I don't understand why we can't just pick it up ourselves when I told them we have a truck ... these people are sick and unprofessional! do not pay cash just only pay with card so when you have problems like this with them you can contact your bank to stop that payment and get your money back because now we won't even get our money back and I don't know when they will ever deliver the merchandise I purchased! Do not waste your time here ... I want my money back and the time they wasted for three days waiting for nothing! Do not order anything from sales person TONY! He called in sick and there were no deliveries today when he said it would be delivered!
