The people at this place are very pleasant when they are trying to sell you something or if you go in person to talk to them about an issue in front of prospective buyers. Otherwise, they are EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! I had problems with delivery, paint damage, (I was told to buy some paint and paint it myself!!!), I purchased a BRAND NEW bedroom set, NOT a used one!! and the bed makes a lot of noise since day one!!! They sent someone to "fix it". They tighten the screws but it did not work and they have not taken reponsability AFTER TWO YEARS!!! Last month, October 2022, I went in person and they were supposed to call me back. They didn't. They even took a copy of my invoice. I called a week ago and they said they only give a 30 day warranty on bedroom sets and a 90 day on sofas and other furniture. I thought on contacting the manufacturer and see if they can help me or give me an idea on how to solve this problem. So, I asked if they could give me the name of the manufacturer. They said NO!! They totally refused!! We are repeat customers having bought a couch and dining set years ago. Buying furniture was great. Showroom had choices, they do free delivery and no tax if you pay cash. Lonnie, on floor sales is personable and makes you feel at ease right off the bat to do business. However GETTING YOUR FURNITURE IS ANOTHER STORY WHICH CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS A LONG, TERRIBLE ORDEAL, which started from June 25 to August 28! Long story short, they wasted our time by delivering crappy furniture that we declined the delivery and demanded a refund! We ordered a couch on June 25 as our old one had to go and we were expecting a visit from family on the first week of August. We picked out the fabric and specifications and was told 2 weeks to deliver. Almost 2 weeks go by and we got the call we thought was going to schedule delivery, but was instead told that the fabric was out so it was going to take 2 more weeks because they have to wait for it. Why would you wait two weeks to let me know that fabric was out? Should have been the first red flag! Another 2 weeks came and went and no couch. I was nervous cuz the week of relatives visiting was coming up and our old couch was in a very bad condition, which was why we ordered the couch in the first place. Lonnie was very nice and apologetic and promised to take our old couch at no charge and give a loaner couch while I have visiting relatives. Problem was, the rude delivery people just showed up off schedule to deliver the loaner couch while I was out and apparently was not informed to pick up the old couch so when they received their new instructions from their boss and after arguing with my mom, begrudgingly took the old couch and demanded a tip! How do you have that audacity after yelling at a customer? Unacceptable! So again, more fire-putting-out from Lonnie, who's very good at it. She must have have quite the practice. August 10-they delivered the couch and it straight up looked like someone made it out of their garage! It was uneven, you can see the studs on the back and had a small tear on the fabric. I will let the pictures speak for itself. Naturally, I asked for it to be taken back. They said another 2 weeks. I also asked them to take their loaner couch because I have 2 toddlers and I didn't want to damage their furniture. More apologies and assurances from Lonnie. Finally after another 2 weeks, they delivered another couch. You would think that after what they put us through, you would do some simple quality control measures of inspecting the couch before delivering it to your wronged customer? Nope, that's too much to ask! The couch that we got had chipped legs. I didn't even bother having them bring in the rest of the pieces. I've had it and did not hesitate to let Lonnie know. I demanded for my money back. I went to collect my check the next day and Lonnie, again was so sorry that she wrote the check with an added $50. I wasn't going to make a scene but I'm sure she was worried that I was going to repeat my grievances in their storefront with customers overhearing how terrible they are. Frankly, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I can and never have to deal with them again. They wasted so much of our time! Lonnie should seriously think of running for politics. I mean all those hollow promises! She'd be good at it! We went to BELLA CASA in Fremont, early October and custom-ordered a couch. We told them about the ordeal we went through and showed them the fabric we chose from the other place to get the same thing, when they saw the fabric code, turns out that the supposed manufacturing company was already closed. So maybe I was right, it was probably built in someone's garage! When we received our couch from BELLA CASA, it looked just like the brochure and the quality, just as its supposed to be. read more

Delivery service was the most horrible service, first they scratch the floor in my master bedroom and tell my mother she a terrible person for asking money. All she said was try to be careful and try not to scratch the floor . Also bought a table for the kitchen and had marks, and wasnt properly clean up. The showroom is huge and their products range from low-end to high-end, so make sure you test out the quality before ordering, but I'm so impressed with the service and the look/quality of the items we received. I was on the hunt for a very specific grey-wash wood for our master bedroom, and luckily, we stumbled upon Furniture Today which had the exact color/set I was looking for! This is my and my husband's favorite furniture store. Sam, the owner I believe, lets you shop without too much pressure. Of course, he may try to sway you to certain items, but he lets you do your thing. You can walk around as much as you like, and they don't try to hound you to make a purchase. So, I bought a full bedroom set in September 2020. They told me it would be here in a week and they would call to set up delivery. A week goes by, no call at all. I call and they say its not in yet, they didn't give me an idea of when either. I wait another week. It's now been two weeks since I paid in full for the set. I call again. It still has not arrived. I wait almost another week. They never call me to let me know whats going on. I call them every time. So finally after almost 3 weeks its in and they set up delivery day. They arrive and drop off the two nightstands and the dresser but no bed. It's coming on a truck later they say. Later happens to be like 6 pm by now. Second truck arrives with the WRONG BED. So they grumble and go back to the store and tell me to call the store to fix it. Uh what? So I call and they say they will call me back. They don't. I call them and get told sorry we will deliver tomorrow morning. Meanwhile my old bed is in the middle of the living room since I moved it out for the delivery so I had to sleep in the middle of my living room. When you have 4 cats that is not a pleasant night. So next day they call and say no one can deliver the bed until late afternoon. I am so tired of dealing with them I say fine and they finally arrive and set up my bed. Not even a week goes by and the legs that support the middle of the bed break off the frame twice. So now I have to find a way to fix the legs on my bed. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Most of my furniture is recognizable from an ikea catalog. So basic, I know. But eventually, I knew there was going to be a day when I needed to upgrade from my college bought furniture. The time came and I needed a futon for my living room! I decided to stray away from the big name swedish store to something local. Surprisingly, I did not expect San Leandro to have so many furniture stores (Yelp it yourself and see!). The area where I eventually made my way to Furniture Today, had 4 different huge stores alone! At Furniture Today, I freely strolled around the store, testing out a couple set ups they had. Believe it or not, after a number of furniture stores - I appreciated that I could walk around without the pressure of someone following or pushing a sale on me. After seeing most of the store, got to talk budget and options with the sales rep there. Some of the futons she showed me at the store was not 100% to my liking, so she showed me some special order options. So glad she did because I saw a futon that was totally the color and plush style I wanted. And most importantly, the price was right! Although I wasn't sure how the special order would turn out, I was shown similar pieces (in terms of fabric and color) to get a better idea of what I was getting. The reassurance helped lots! Placed the order, and futon came in a week. Opted for pick up, and they gave me a ring to make sure I had a an appropriate size car for pick up. Popped over the store with a truck, and went straight to the back where a man kindly unloaded everything into my truck bed. Got home, and pieced everything together easily. Overall, pretty happy with my purchase and glad to now have a unique futon that me and the fam can enjoy :) read more

I was in search of a new bed. I haven't had a new bed in 50 years. Just different hand me downs. So I walked into Furniture Today and Sam met me as I did. Very nice salesman. He showed me around and let me try out different mattresses. This ones to soft. This ones to hard. Well you know the rest! This ones Just Right!!! I wasn't really thinking of a whole Bedroom set. But I found one. I looked around a bit more and went back to this one particular set. I want this! He even got me a smaller box spring to go with it. I don't like "climbing" up on my bed. They make all of them so high these days. Well I'm just here to say Sam was the best. I walked in just looking and left with the best Bedroom set ever. I'm sleeping much better and every time I walk in my room I'm so happy. Also the two men who delivered and set up my set were very nice and quick. And they showed up when they said they would!! Bought a pillow top mattress. I had 2 option. One for $550 and for $400. I went for the $550 because they offered to knock off $75. So I got it. Called me back 4 days later and said manufacture doesn't make it anymore and I had to go back to store and went for the $400. Which is fine. Still nice and good bed. They could have offered to pick up my old bed stuff for free but instead still charge $15. They said they can still get it to me on Thursday a week after I ordered first bed. Called Thursday to make sure and they said Friday. Friday came, 8 days later, they called and said driver is sick and now Monday. What the F?????? Customer service just bad. I ordered 2 sofas, and single chair, 2 end tables, and 2 twin mattresses , and a coffee table and it took 6 weeks for the sofas, end tables, and coffee table to come and they told me I would have to wait another week for the single chair of mattresses to come. The delivery drivers made me take out my window just to fit the couches threw because the told me that it wouldn't fit through the door . They didn't even try putting it through the door and used his hands to try measuring, he didn't even use a real measuring tape. The delivery drivers had the worst attitude ever!!! They are nice when you are in the store but when after you purchase their attitude quickly changes. Customer service is the worst . Please do ever come to this store !!! One of the worst stores I have ever shopped from. The salesmen here are the most shadiest and uncaring people I have ever met. One of the worst salespeople ever, these people are just as bad as Hanlee's Hilltop Toyota. We went into buy a bed frame and eastern king bed and a dining table with upgraded chairs that cost 150.00 each. Firstly, when the furniture was delivered 2 weeks later, the chairs were missing. Secondly, instead of an eastern king he gave us a cal king saying that the factory ran out of eastern kings so he just ordered a cal king for us. We were very speciifc that we wanted an eastern king to have a wider bed as opposed to a longer bed. His reponse was "it is okay you like cal king now". I told him no that is not how it works but he told us we were stuck now since he already ordered and delivered. Then the chairs we were told be there the following week but never came in, we waited for about 2 months before finally asking for our money after numerous scheduled deiveries never happened. Finally, when it came time for refund I was given an invoice with an amount different than what I paid. Even when I initially paid I told him that I would pay half now and half on delivery and he was adamant that I pay 100% up front. I cannot believe the dishonesty of these people. They are the scum of the furniture world. Will never go here again. The worst customer service and one of most the shadiest people I have ever met. The worst place ever to shop for furniture. I went and bought some couches and some Asian lady helped and was very nice and promised my couches would be delivered by June 1 . I placed the order May 12th . I called 2 weeks later meanwhile the check was already cashed and some guy picked and gave him my invoice number and said he would call me back. He never did. I called again the same day and a lady picked up and said my couches won't be delivered until June 3rd or 4th. I should have absolutely read the reviews before I purchased because everyone of the negative comments is correct. I went in last week to select a sofa for a family member and mentioned to the salesperson (Danny), I needed it within a short period. I identified a sofa and asked if he had it in stock which he Danny indicated he did not. I asked if he would sell me the floor model. He agreed, I paid and he said they would deliver it today on Tuesday. I was left two voicemails from a sales lady saying they cannot find the sofa and I shouldn't expect a sofa anytime soon. I called her back and the owner doesn't take any calls and Danny is off and cannot be bothered. She reiterated that they are looking for the sofa and kept ignoring the fact that Danny had agreed to sell me the floor model and mentioned that he lied as they do not break up the floor models. She then called me mean and hung up? It's an odd way of running a business and don't care whether they make a sale or not! Got my bed, mattress and dinning table from these guys. My bed which I ordered was a eastern king but I got a CAL king delivered. Wasn't too happy but I needed a bed so I settled. Then I got my dining table but no chairs because they weren't coming in until next week. Still didn't complain because it was just another week. Then weeks went on and on and still no chairs. When I would call they would just repeatedly tell me don't worry I know I will get them to you. Two months later no chairs and when I call they tell me they've been discontinued and to come in and choose new chairs. Mind you I had a newborn baby and I had to make several trips back-and-forth to this place with my little one when I was trying not to leave the house with him unless doctors appointment. I told him I couldn't keep driving two hours one way to him all the time with the baby to come pick out chairs. And since I had to pay more money for the chairs I chose I wanted the same if not similar chairs or a refund. He said he would take care of it but l still had to go in cause I didn't get a call back. ‍‍‍ Long story short they had to take the dining table back because there were no chairs like the ones I chose in the first place and I'm still convinced that I didn't get the right amount of money back but it is what it is. Then the mattress I received from these guys was molded and had to wait another three weeks before I got a new non-molded mattress. Honestly the amount of time and headache that I had to go through with these guys just for my furniture being $200 cheaper I was better off going with IKEA or another furniture company where I would've at least received my furniture on time and exactly what I paid for. I am really simple, I like going in and out of a store. I wanted a full mattress within my budget (us students are super poor) and I like firm beds. So, I told the owner what I wanted and she directed me to several beds that I can try. I mean, I like firm beds so it was pretty easy to find. Very straightforward. Made my purchase and I got my bed. I can't remember if they offered delivery (I believe they did for a limited distance though) but I borrowed a truck from a very good friend of mine. Overall, my experience was pretty good. She was so nice while she was reeling me in. I'm going to take responsibility for my part the couch was not expensive so I didn't think it would last for ever but after a couple of months it broke the ottoman also broke. That's when the shenanigans begin. I called and she referred me to the manufactures which I already called and referred me back to the store. Lonnie then said they said to bring it to the store so the company could come and inspect it and see if they would fix it. How was I suppose to bring a whole couch back to the store and then they inspect it and say they won't do anything. That would be a total waste of time. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Do not trust the people who work here, they will talk to you like they are doing you a favor by giving you a "good deal" without delivery charge, a couple dollars lower than the price tag, which I am sure is over priced already. My dining table was suppose to be delivered Monday at noon, when 2pm came around I called the shop and they said the delivery driver had a few drop offs and will head to my house next. 4pm came around and still no delivery, so I called the shop and they said the driver got "stuck" at the warehouse, whatever that even means. 5pm comes around and still no delivery, so I call one last time and they finally called their delivery driver who then called me and the whole time he was "calling the wrong number so he delivered all the other places instead." How is that my problem that the delivery driver didn't call the correct number to see if I was home and when I called the shop many times already waiting for my table. By the way, the invoice clearly had my number written clearly and correct. By this point, it is 6pm and my table finally gets delivered, 6 HOURS LATE! On top of that, I wasn't able to be home at the time so my mother was there and they just left the bench that came with the table right in front of my door when you walk in. What kind of delivery service is it to have you properly deliver my furniture where it should be but leave pieces scatter in front of my door? When I finally get home a half an hour later, turns out, they didn't even deliver all my pieces! WTF?! The center glass that is suppose to be part of the table as a whole is somehow "too big" and couldn't fit so they told us they will deliver one tomorrow. It's tomorrow and I call the shop. THERE ARE NO DELIVERY DRIVERS WORKING TODAY! So now they want to deliver it tomorrow night again?! Are you kidding me? I told the shop the disappointment, how unprofessional and unsatisfied I am of this service and that I will come in to speak to the manager directly, this guys says, "Oh come on, make it easy, you don't need to come in, its ok." The hell is not, how do you deliver hundreds of dollars of furniture 6 hours late, scatter in my home, missing pieces and wait 2 more days to redeliver the missing piece they told would be deliver the next day.
