*1/5 Stars - Avoid Ethan Allen at All Costs: $4000 for a Broken Dresser?*…read more I'm writing this review as a warning to others: beware of Ethan Allen's poor quality products and appalling customer service. We spent $4000 on a bedroom set, only to receive a dresser that was severely damaged. The issues include: - Large gouges and scratches on the surface - A busted drawer that doesn't function properly - Peeling wood finish When we complained and sent the dresser back, we expected a hassle-free replacement or refund. Instead, they've repeatedly sent the same broken dresser, ignoring our concerns and gaslighting us into thinking there's nothing wrong with it. It's been incredibly frustrating to deal with this situation, especially given the high cost of the furniture. I'm still left without a complete bedroom set and feel ripped off. Unless you enjoy dealing with broken products and unhelpful customer service, I would strongly advise against shopping at Ethan Allen.

We have been able to consign a number of items but how the process goes seems to depend on who's on the floor that day. Once, we had to convince the staff to essentially take back something we purchased there that ended up not working for us. Sold in less than 2 weeks. We've had staff tell us our item was the wrong color only to find a similar item - same color. The favorite comment is "tired" but we have found things on the floor that were dirty and covered in dog hair. Bottom line, worth a look if you are hunting for good furniture but be prepared for inconsistency when trying to consign.

Nancy Johnson recently provided excellent service while helping me choose furnishings for my family…read moreroom. I was looking for a large area rug and two recliners, and I found a rug and recliner fabric I loved. Nancy created an AI-generated view showing how the selected recliners would look in my room. Unfortunately, we agreed that even Bassett's smallest recliners were too large for the space. Nancy then suggested reupholstering my current recliners with the Bassett fabric I had chosen. She not only offered the idea but also immediately connected me with someone who agreed to do the work as soon as the fabric arrives. Nancy was very helpful in coordinating my new selections with my existing furniture. I will refer her to others and contact her again the next time I need furniture.

We ended up purchasing most of our pieces from the online and print catalogs they have at the store - they make it so easy to shop different brands based on your needs, taste, and aesthetic. The sales representatives took the time to understand my personal style and goals and we ended up with perfect pieces that fit the mid-century/organic modern style we were going for. The quality of these pieces is UNMATCHED - our solid oak dining table is stunning and the price was reasonable given the high quality of the piece.
