Price gouging. On 5/12/2023 I brought a lawnmower to Furbur Saw, Inc. because it would not start. They charged a $70 deposit which was to go towards the cost of repair. Later that same day they called to tell me that the carburetor was unresponsive (which I knew because I had already checked for spark), and that the plastic carburetor was unserviceable. They offered to replace the carburetor, install a new air filter and sharpen the blade (other services that I did not request) for $270 (a similar brand new lawnmower is $249 at Home Depot). I declined further service and when I went to pick up my lawnmower they charged me $45 for doing nothing more than removing the air filter (which was still off when I received the lawnmower). I feel that Furber Saw, Inc. attempted to upsell for parts and services that I did not request and that I was price gouged for non-performance work left unaccomplished. I went to Furber Saw as they are close to my home and sell and service Stihl brand products - I had owned a chain saw and was very pleased with it, and wanted to buy the same brand. I was greeted when I entered and immediately helped with my questions regarding a chain saw...and with the different needs that I have now, I settled on a battery-power saw. As I also needed a trimmer, I looked at a battery-powered trimmer that would also share the same battery-charger unit as the chainsaw. They were caring enough to ask questions about my intended usage, and to offer me the product combination that was the best price for what I described that I needed. They even demonstrated how everything operates, and took out a new model and put it together, just to make sure that all of the components were in the box, and that it was assembled correctly. I have been happy with both products as they are quality. More importantly, I also feel assured that chain sharpening / maintenance and any needed repairs will be done correctly, as they also offer sales and service for the professional. Just plain rude! Went in this shop with my Echo leaf blower because they show on the website to be an authorized repair center. It was under warranty. The woman was rude, told me flat out "no", refused to even give me the name of another local Echo dealer. Echo should drop them anyway because their name was nowhere in site. read more

I came in looking for an ECHO CS-341 chainsaw unfortunately the saw I wanted was discontinued (shame on you ECHO) . I talked with the salesman there for over an hour and he was really very informative and helpful . I finally decided on a Stihl professional in tree chain saw . The salesman who I believe is the owner made me a good deal on the saw with the bar size I wanted and then I was really pleased when they offered to install the bar and chain and fill it with fuel and bar oil and show me how to use it . I was very impressed with the store and level of service . I also appreciate a straight shootin honest business . I was going to have my Husqvarna repaired there for aback up saw to the new Stihl and he told me the cost of repair and asked what I paid for it and we came to the conclusion since I'm an auto mechanic I can probably fix the husky myself and save a ton of money .
