Where the problem lies is communication about when the dog is done. On multiple occasions, we have had to call them to see if the dog is ready after SIX hours. No one will tell us anything and they close at 5. Then other times it's like clockwork at 4 hours and we get a text. I feel like there is a lot of turnover in front of house and that's where the breakdown happens. So I wish that they could figure that out. Since I moved to Illinois, I am now a regular at their Edwardsville store. Sophia got two new bandanas, two small iced dog treats and one big Happy Barkday Cookie to celebrate her special day. When we did our morning walk, we took the big cookie with us. As we meet her neighborhood friends, we broke off a piece of the big cookie and shared her celebration. The staff was new to me, but I was happy to see they still provided the good customer service that Four Muddy Paws is known for. I may be a regular in E-ville now, but I'll still hold a special place in my heart for the Lafayette store.

My girls get so excited to go here and love every staff member. I have 2 toy poodles and book Rachel to groom them. I would advise booking in advance because they are busy and they do book up. I am so happy with how they treat and handle my dogs and I will never go anywhere else, they have never looked so good with the former groomer I used. Rachel does an outstanding job and I cannot recommend her enough. The prices are very reasonable and comparable to other grooming shops and are actually exactly the same as the former groomer I used (who was based in Ellisville about 5 minutes from my house) and I drive 25 minutes to Wolfgang's but it is absolutely worth the drive. The only downside is that sometimes it can be hard to find street parking but it's not that big of a deal and not their fault for that. I have booked several appointments for the following months and I like that they allow me to do that. My former groomer would only let me book 2-3 appointments in advance at a time but Wolfgang's is very organized and their staff are incredibly professional and friendly. Rachel took the time to speak with me personally when I picked up my pups last time because she wanted to show me the correct brush I should be using on my pups (the brush my former groomer told me to get wasn't getting all of the matts out of their fur and she showed me what she uses - I really appreciated her suggestion and that she cared for my dogs to show me). The first time my pups got groomed here I was speechless with how happy I was with how they were cut and styled and how great they smelled. I love the products they use and they smell amazing. Their fur had never been so soft and the style and cut was PERFECT and exactly what I wanted. Rachel is very knowledgeable and an expert in her craft. I will always go to Wolfgang's from now on.

In general we try to support small businesses, and Flying Fur has been through so much in the last few years, with the pandemic and other roadblocks (I.e. a lightning fire) that would've likely made many other business owners call it quits. Aimee has persevered and asked for patience from her patrons through several moves and other personal challenges but always ALWAYS remembers to respond to appointment requests and works us in within a week or two when we need a grooming. I'm proud to support her business as she has remained professional and dedicated through it all as a one-woman show. All that said, she also does a really great job on our pup! Sasha always looks so fresh and adorable after her grooming and smells so nice. The cute seasonally themed bandanas are also a nice touch! We love Flying Fur and will continue to be customers regardless of where Aimee moves her shop :)

Most importantly, my dog is completely comfortable with them and is always excited to go. I've never picked her up from Grateful Pets to find her stressed out, stinky, or anything like that- she's usually just tired from all the happy playtime. The location is conveniently located near Soulard Market, and the environment has a very 'family' feel to it. It's what I want for my dog and I'm glad they're in my neighborhood. Also, they have an instagram page and post daily pictures. I see my dog in the posts almost every time she's there, hanging out with some new friend. Also, they don't really sell much of anything there retail-wise (which I like), but you can buy moose antler pieces, and they price it by weight.
