3 out of 4 of our dogs got sick! Our family attended a local fundraiser to support the Kern County Pound over the weekend. We spent over $50 on product from this business and our dogs got super sick. We were told the treats were homemade and were expensive because they had to be baked for 5 hours.... Sunny went into detail about how much time and detail went into the homemade product. When we got home and opened the packaging the product is actually made in Canada and another in China!! They were not homemade at all! Thank goodness our dogs are ok, but do not recommend buying anything from this business. Would give negative stars if possible! read more

I was in search of cutesy outfits for my little ones this Christmas. I went to a big name store earlier in the day and couldn't find one that would fit my tiny Terrier Pepper. Lo and behold, I found them at Fur & Feed. It was as if owner Sunny knew exactly what I was looking for. She pointed me directly to the corner where she had several to choose from in a wide range of sizes for tinier pups. I also snagged one for my Chihuahua Lola (not pictured). As the name suggests, the store offers a variety of feed options for your furry friends. For giggles, check out the "designer" poopie bag in the display case. Best of all, the owners were hands on in their service delivery which you typically won't get from a big name store. I stopped into Fur and Feed today and had such a great experience! The owner, Sunny, is so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. She even let me play with her adorable new puppy, which was such a treat. The shop is cute and cozy, yet packed to the brim with amazing goodies for both dogs and cats. Sunny carries a great assortment of fresh food, snacks, and dried options, so there's truly something for every pet. I picked up a few things for our dog and cats, including the freeze-dried bison, jumbo shrimp, and some grass cookies for hairballs. My cat went absolutely crazy for them! Such a charming local shop with quality products and wonderful service. I'll definitely be back! read more

What I love about Fur and Feed is that everything is all natural and doesnt have alot of other chemicals and its locally owned by a mom and pop. Sunny took the time to help identify what kind of supplement I needed based on what my goals where. Visited last month- Sunny is friendly and helpful. I purchased a toy in the shape of a whale for my Golden, who tends to destroy toys. A month later, it's held up and become one of her favorites- the toy is very well made. I also purchased a smoked chickens foot, she loves that, too. The shop is small but well stocked with affordable pricing. The shop sits in the small shopping center with Hungry Howies and east of Mauricio's. read more

I visited Fur and Feed on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at approximately 5:00 pm. This is a fairly new business and is located in a strip mall type setting. Upon entering the business, I was greeted by the owner, Sunny Tapia. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable in the items she has for sale. She has a wide selection of cat and dog treats, foods and supplements. She had several unique treats that I hadn't seen at other pet stores. Well-behaved pets are welcome in the store. I purchased two waterless dog shampoos and a shampoo bar. I also purchased a bag of beef collagen and kelp treats as well as a "Barkin" bag, that holds a roll of poop bags. Sunny also provided me with several samples of treats for my dog. Fur & Feed prices are highly competitive and reasonably priced. I truly wish Sunny and her husband a successful business I highly recommend this business and look forward to making future purchases. read more

I have seen Sunny at the Farmers Market and had to make my way to the store for the St. Rocco's Duck Breast treats. My dogs LOVE them. (Every dog I know does - which is a lot of dogs) I'm so glad to have come in to the store! I found pumpkin supplements I was looking for, as well as all kinds of other fun things for my fur babes.
