I took my kids to Funtopia a couple of years ago and loved it so much that my daughter wanted to have her birthday party there. We just wanted a simple, midday party that included use of the slide, so I bought a basic party package. Their website states that it includes 'exclusive use of slide for all guests' and table setup, plates, napkins, utensils, and cups. The day of my daughter's party was very busy and overbooked. They called several other parties for the slide, but my daughter's party was never called so they never got to use it. When the slide was in use, they closed the high ropes course (which was the entire time of her party). My daughter and her friends weren't able to use the slide or high ropes course. They were so disappointed! When it was time for cake, I asked our hostess for plates to serve it on. Our hostess refused to give us any, saying we would have to purchase more food if we wanted plates. I had to scrounge up tiny napkins to serve the cake on. I called a few days after the party to inform them of our situation and hopefully get compensation. The manager tried to say the slide and plates weren't included in our package. After checking the website and admitting it does say use of slide is included, she responded that I should have bought a more expensive package if I wanted to use the slide. She said exclusive use of the slide is only for Ultimate parties and the package I purchased only includes use of the slide if available to general public. It does not say this anywhere in the description of the package I purchased. I have included a screenshot directly from the website. Then she hung up on me! I have never encountered someone so rude! This is honestly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My advice, do NOT book a party here! My poor daughter's special day was ruined at this place.

There are so many employees sitting around, but they sent all the kids through the rope course at once without an employee in the middle or at the end. When the kid behind mine pushed the platform my son was stepping off of and he burst into tears because he got scared - the boys mother and grandmother burst into prolonged laughter at a crying child. As there were zero employees watching the course - we had to get an employee to help him - while my child got laughed at. People suck and that can't be helped, but holy crap- have someone at LEAST the exit watching the kids. The teenager at the start couldn't see through the dozen kids he sent down the course at once.

Horrible time here, Manager Allyson has a horrible snappy attitude. We rented the place as a private event. Taken place today 8/23/20. Not a cheap place, we had a birthday party the sever came with Manager named Allyson and when they placed the party food a Hair was found from the women, And pizza was cold NOT even warm. we took the hair to the manager Allyson with and she responded with an attitude again and on top of that they didn't provide utensils NO napkins. On top of that we try to use the restrooms and there is no paper towels anywhere. Horrible service. No paper in the men's bathroom. Even as the place was rented COMPLETLY. When doing the Waver they also kept asking again for our name multiple times when we had just spoken to them. I will like to please get some type of response for the inconvenience and horrible experience. I am so hurt my kids had to experience this situation.

Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with this place! When I went into the toddler room, I was very concerned. It is just a hodgepodge of Little Tykes toys and such that you pay $10 to pay for. I was a bit nervous that my grandchildren might have a rough time with the walls. My latter confirms we're totally unfounded! This establishment was well run! Employees were on top of teaching my grandkids how to use the harnesses. I filled one of the team members in on the fact that my oldest grandson is DD and they were there to help him. I was a happy grandmother because the kids had a blast and were asking to go back as soon as we left. If I had one piece of advice, it would be to do something better for the Ittle Ittles. While my 2 year old grandson loved the bouncy farm I found later, I just found the place lacking for all my grandkids,

    Family Fun at at Funtopia!!!

Is this for younger kids? Will it be fun for 18 year olds?

Older or younger, they will have a great time. There's an advanced climbing station towards the back for the adults and older kids.

I have 4yr old boy and 6yr girl, is this place for them? or is it only climbing place?

It's pretty much just climbing (there is a separate toddler room that is probably too young for your kids). That said, I took a 5 and a 7 year old, and they both climbed. The 5 year old felt more comfortable on some climbers than others, but there…

While I was having lunch nearby at Lazy Dog with my family, a representative from this shop decided to use the entire parking lot as their personal dumping ground, going row by row shoving unsolicited advertising flyers under the windshield wipers of every single vehicle including mine. Let's be entirely clear: nobody wants your marketing garbage forced onto their car. It is incredibly invasive and disrespectful to touch someone else's vehicle without permission. Beyond that, it creates an immediate, ugly litter problem for the neighborhood when these papers inevitably blow away or get tossed onto the pavement by annoyed drivers. If a company has to resort to desperate, intrusive, guerrilla-style littering tactics just to get eyeballs on their brand, it speaks volumes about the sub-par quality of their operation. I will absolutely never support Tuft A Rug, and I strongly urge everyone else to take their business to other local shops that actually respect private property and the community.

Tuft-A-Rug is located in Fox Valley Mall, which is perfect as most other rug making locations are in the city. Walking by, you can immediately see people already at work (a genius way to grab people's attention!). You start by choosing what size rug you would like to make, as price and time requirements differ with both. I recommend booking in advance. If you come as a group, the fee also becomes discounted. I chose the 21x18 size and went with a friend which came to about $60 per person. It starts out with a demonstration so you get to practice a bit! I was super nervous but once you get the hang of it, it's so much fun. You can make any design you want. You'll trace out the image by either free handing it, or you can use your phone to project a picture and trace it that way. A tip is that if you know what you want to do and have an image, you can actually email it to them and they can trace it ahead of time so it's ready- which is super convenient. There's a plethora of color yarn you can choose from. I know I keep saying it, but seriously, this activity was so much fun. Once it comes together it really gives you so much satisfaction. It did take quite a bit of time, and the bigger and more complex your design, the longer it will take. I, of course, like to make my life complicated for some reason so it took a bit of time, maybe about 3 hours. But it came out SO cute! I made a hedgehog laying in a bed of daisies!! Please do note, that you will not go home with your rug the day of. They do have to finish it which may take about a month (it can be shipped if need be). There are some options of finishing touches that you can select. And if you do have some small patchiness that might need a touch up, they're happy to help! Service was awesome, the owner Keaton was the bomb. So patient, funny, and super helpful! Even with a bigger group he managed to help everyone when they needed it. The location is ideal, there's definitely enough space and seating, cool walls to take photos with your rugs. The playlist was bomb. The price is completely fair and actually very affordable for the service, time, and product. I really have nothing but more raving to do about this place and wish it all the best. I've already recruited a friend group to come back and do it with me! Keaton is passionate about his work and it is very clear in the way it is set up! So as always, please support local businesses and especially this one which is unique and so much fun! You won't regret it!

LONG REVIEW BUT READ BEFORE CONSIDERING USING THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR EVENT:…read more I should start out with saying I have been in contact with the owner Stacie MULTIPLE times and am left with nothing but frustration. Stacie is not a bad person but I do feel she is completely overwhelmed in running this business. I've been dealing with Funtime Services since April 1st 2025 trying to book a mobile petting zoo for my daughter's first birthday planned for June 2025 and the experience has been frustrating to say the least. Communication has been a major issue throughout the process, especially with Stacie herself since anyone else I did get to talk with couldn't help me in the slightest other than they'll leave a message for Stacie and then I never hear from her UNLESS I were to reach out and call and some how catch her available in office. Getting clear answers or even timely replies to emails has been nearly impossible. After multiple attempts to try and talk to Stacie herself once I did reach her two different phone calls I was turned away with "I'm busy right now doing something else , I can email you once I become available" (mind you then I'd never heard back at all) to which I'd have to reach out again and finally durning one of our last conversation, she provided general information she had to text to me at that moment and discussed two different pricing options for a petting zoo. She explained that she would be reaching out to two separate vendors at different price points. I informed her that I was more interested in the lower-priced option NATURALLY, but made it clear that I would be willing to book either one, as my main priority was securing a petting zoo so I would be waiting to hear back from her regardless who she was able to secure but to just let me know. So money was not the problem. Mind you any time I would voice my frustrations she keep reminding me "I don't make much money off doing this you know, at most I make $20" What should have been a straightforward booking has dragged on for over a month, and I'm still left with uncertainty and decided to not continue "service" with the company FunTime Services Event Rentals. If you're even considering Funtime Services for your event, just be aware that it may take an unreasonable amount of time just to start the process of securing your event. I really expected more professionalism and reliability for catering to such a nice suburban area like Naperville. Just leaving this review to show all what i experienced so anyone else out there knows what entails if interested in booking with them. Seriously proceed with caution.

Well on the day of our event, the delivery was late. It appears our worst fears occurred and the drivers missed us. I called a half hour before the end of the window and spoke with Stacie. Historically, the food and service have been very good, which makes our experience with our most recent BBQ event particularly disappointing. The weather was questionable the morning of the event, so we understood the decision to precook the burgers and brats. However, the weather ultimately cooperated, and the event proceeded as planned. We specifically requested that we use at least one large gas grill we provided, even if only to keep the grill/char lines going, but that did not happen. The catering team arrived on time, but the setup was not completed as expected. Two chefs who had originally been scheduled to be onsite to cook the food ultimately spent much of the event standing around with very little involvement. More importantly, the food was served lukewarm to cold even though it arrived in hotboxes, and some food was undercooked/raw. The sternos were not lit until well after the food had been set up and less than 10 minutes before mealtime, which did little to address the temperature problem. For the price we paid, the quality of service and temperature of the food were simply not acceptable. I immediately raised my concerns with the event planner after the event. When I didn't receive a follow-up, I emailed to express our disappointment. To the event planner's credit, she responded and said the owner wanted to address the matter personally and would contact me after returning from out of town. That was over a month ago, and we have still received no communication. A coworker who also helps coordinate our company events separately contacted her point of contact at the company, but also received no response. What is most disappointing is not simply that one event did not meet expectations. We have been a significant repeat customer, and we expected our concerns to be acknowledged and addressed professionally. Instead, we received no follow-up at all. We have had good experiences with this caterer in the past, which is why this situation has been frustrating. Unfortunately, the combination of cold food, a lack of attention during the event, and zero follow-up afterward has made us decide to seek catering elsewhere for our corporate events.
